“I have had my father living in one of their properties for over a year, and it is unbelievable how bad the property is and no one is making any effort to repair it or at least fix the problem even though they have been informed of the state of the property, the level of negligence that is being committed to my father and the person who lived there previously, is extremely high. Update of the case After several months we have been able to clarify the situation, my father's case has been handed over to Will, an agent who, unlike the other agent in charge, has shown empathy and good faith with my father and me, we have been able to find the right place and solve all this that due to third parties, and taking into account that due to the absence of other owners of the building who have nothing to do with the company not much could be done. We have finally found a place for my father to change, I am enormously grateful to Will and the SLE for their help and willingness to finally fix this.”

“City Cruises runs a variety of Thames experiences—from classic sightseeing and hop-on hop-off boat passes to fancier options like dinner or jazz cruises. Their boats depart from well-known piers such as Westminster, the London Eye, Tower, and Greenwich. You’ll get either live commentary from the crew or pre-recorded guides in several languages. On board, there’s a bar stocked with drinks and snacks, and booking online makes things quicker and easier. Like any busy tourist service, the boats sometimes face cleanliness or service hiccups (often caused by the sheer volume of visitors). Still, the overall experience shines. Highlights include: A brilliant way to see London’s landmarks from the water. A friendly, lively crew—especially on tours with live narration. Dinner and jazz cruises that make for a memorable night out. A couple of things to keep in mind: Tipping is sometimes encouraged, which can feel a bit uncomfortable if you’re not expecting it. Double-check your booking details to avoid any mix-ups. All in all, City Cruises is a relaxed, scenic way to take in London. Grab your camera, sit back, and enjoy the view—Britain really is beautiful from the river.”

“I stayed in a room Simply Winch sorted for close to Canary wharf. They wore most flexible when it came to viewings, quick to act and understood as well as acted on my need for a quick move in date. The room was in great condition and the other tenants were well picked, people I now regard as friends. I had one issue where blinds was supposed to be installed by the landlord, but was delayed by several weeks. I complained and Simply winch, even though not their responsibility, waived their check-out fee as a means of compensationto me. Super professional and I warmly recommend them!”

“Nobu is above the price range where we normally eat out but as we are fans of Nippon food, thought it was worth visiting the grand daddy of Japanese/Peruvian restaurants. It was an enjoyable experience, if dear. Our main waiter was excellent, advising on how much to order, deciding on the sequence and pairing of food arrivals, and instructing us how to best to enjoy certain dishes. This was not the case with all staff who sometimes just dumped dishes on our table. Happily our main waiter stopped by to instruct us to taste the miso black cod on its own first before trying it with the dots of sauce and saving the wand of pickled ginger for the end. Similarly the dry miso powder served with the grilled asparagus was meant to be sprinkled on top, though we also used it as condiment for dipping. First to arrive was a double order of tuna tacos with dry miso. Very delicious, served at room temperature and the seasoning was more reminiscent of truffle than miso. Tiny portion, though, with taco shells just shy 3 inches in diameter. Second to arrive were the star dishes of black cod miso and grilled asparagus with dry miso, both served warm. Portion sizes were thankfully generous. The black cod was delicious because the sweet miso and mirin marinade was applied very thinly and grilled until slightly blackened, so the flavour was complex rather than just sweet. It didn't need the dots of extra marinade mixture on the plate which we both found too sweet. A long thin stalk of pickled ginger was decorative both for its sculptural shape as well as its fuschia to white ombre hue. However, it tasted just like the pickled ginger you normally get with sushi. Asparagus was attractively charred but still succulent so probably blanched prior to grilling. Apologies for the photos as we started tucking into this course before remembering to take a photograph. Next to arrive were chicken skewers with anticucho sauce. Chicken breast was shockingly tender and juicy. I do not know how the kitchen team achieved this texture. Anticucho sauce was okay but nothing special--pretty much the same as in other Nippon restaurants. The garnishes of pickled cauliflower, hijiki and daikon were a lovely contrast. A sweet puree of pumpkin was a nice foil for the anticucho sauce. This portion consisted of two large skewers. Finally our order of maki fillers arrived. We had been unnecessarily worried about tiny portions so ordered a few rolls to fill up on rice. Scheduling these to arrive last was last was a brilliant move on the part of our waiter, as these items were not spectacularly different from maki rolls available at any Japanese takeaway that uses decent fish and serves sushi rice at the correct temperature. I liked the futomaki style house roll served with soy. We also had yellow tail and Jalapeno roll served with ponzu. We took home some maki's in a takeaway box because we were full. The restaurant is windowless in the basement though there is a pretty honey wood decor, recalling both Scandi and Japanese aesthetics. The wood panelling also resulted in excellent acoustics. The disco beats from the bar were far away enough not to be disturbing. Portion sizes were mainly good. I was a little surprised that the only South American ingredient in our order was chilli. We washed down our meal with the cheapest red at £55 which was very pleasant. This is at a price point where we might not dine here again. Dinner for two including the bottle of house wine came to £219. I was glad for the experience and certainly learned some new things to try to reproduce at home.”

“Main things you want to know: I stayed here for a room of one. Room was big, room service was provided only if you asked (which I prefer), and they have a restaurant you can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Something came up with my visit and I traveled to Oxford to stay with a friend. When I checked out early, the staff seemed concerned and wanted to see if they could fix any potential issues. I made them aware it had nothing to do with them specifically, so I hope management reads this comment :) If I have family and friends who want to visit London in the future, I’m 100% suggesting this place.”

“Honestly seeing all these negative reviews makes me so sad, sounds like these customers may have some personal issues with staff, which is okay, but a deceptive impression of what this store really is. Warm, Welcoming and nothing but helpful and nice. They always go above and beyond, have absolutely ANYTHING a person asks for and prices are very reasonable. Keep it up, I love this local shop.”
