βIβve been doing group swimming lessons at Kings Hall Leisure Centre for a while now, and I just realised Iβve never left a review even though Iβm really happy with the service and staff! The pool might be a bit old and dated, but itβs always pretty clean, and everyone there is super friendly. My swimming teacher, Ileana, is honestly the best! I actually go there just because I enjoy her lessons so much. She makes every class fun and always mixes things up with diving, jumping, and different swimming styles to keep us excited. Thanks so much for giving me confidence in the water and for making learning to swim such a fun experience!β
βI wanted to update you regarding the feedback from M Tomcalova. The information provided is factually incorrect. Google will not take the information down so we hope that you read this review. We are a highly rated practice and you are able to see from our patient experience surveys for 2017 that the majority of our patients highly rate the services that we provide at the Practice. We have robust complaints practice for patients for when they feel our service falls below standard. We would very much encourage this patient to contact us either verbally or in writing and we could of investigated in detail their concerns.β
βI have been taking my son here to SLIPS and it has really helped his speech and heβs had so much fun while going there and heβs only finished 3 sessions and heβs spoken so much more than he did 3 weeks ago they give you so much tips.β

βCalled 111 and got an appointment on a Sunday morning... The Doctor was very good, thorough, friendly and polite. The receptionist was also very friendly, helpful and polite. This is a very clean surgery with plenty of seating and toilets. Parking in the road outsideβ

βI was so grateful to have had a Saturday clinic available for my smear test. Iβd put it off for months as itβs hard to get time off through the week with work but this was so convenient for me and everything was efficient and smooth. Thanks to Dr Aride for her reassurance through the process and also for making the time available.β
βI fell off a ladder in March 2025 and had back injuries. I went to see Dr Adris Lemar and he has given me a great treatment and arranged X-rays and other diagnostic tests for me. He gave me wonderful tablets and massage cream to heal up my bones for my back pain and I greatly appreciate him helping me get better. Thank you for everything you have done Dr Adris Lemar. βPotential Problems When Reducing and Discontinuing Neuroleptics Note: The following two sections are an excerpt translated by Markus Kaufmann (member of the expert committee) from Breggin 2013 (pp. 119 ff.). Dr. Peter Breggin is an American psychiatrist with extensive experience in reducing and discontinuing psychotropic medications. There is currently very little literature on this topic, particularly regarding the criteria for distinguishing between discontinuation symptoms and symptoms of the underlying psychiatric illness. "Any psychotropic drug can produce withdrawal or discontinuation symptoms. This occurs partly because the brain adapts to the psychotropic drug and is left in an abnormally compensated state when the dose of a medication is reduced or the medication is discontinued." ``` The following symptoms may occur when reducing and discontinuing neuroleptics: 1. Psychotic symptoms may occur during reduction and discontinuation as a result of changes in brain metabolism. They cannot always be reliably distinguished from the original psychotic disorder. They usually develop within days of the reduction and generally improve after 2β3 weeks. 2. Emotional lability or instability (such as anxiety, restlessness, paranoid reactions, depression, irritability, aggression, and increased energy). These also usually develop within days or weeks after reducing or discontinuing the medication. 3. Sleep disturbances can be distressing and contribute to instability. 4. Movement disorders (such as muscle stiffness, tremors, involuntary movements of the face, lips, jaw, tongue, arms, wrists, hands, fingers, legs, knees, toes, neck, shoulders, hips, restlessness) can, in rare cases, be pronounced and associated with restlessness and anxiety. 5. Cognitive impairments such as difficulty concentrating, attention deficit, forgetfulness, and distractibility. 6. Gastrointestinal problems such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and abdominal pain. 7. Other physical symptoms such as flu-like symptoms including malaise, sweating, muscle cramps, paresthesia, rapid heartbeat, increased pain sensitivity, headaches, dizziness, and high blood pressure. The extent of these symptoms is significantly influenced by the size of the reduction step. Therefore, it is crucial to proceed slowly and with small reduction steps. Psychotropic medications are far, far more dangerous than the doctors who prescribe them would ever admit. I firmly believe that most people would never use psychotropic medications if they knew how dangerous they are, and I also believe that most doctors would stop prescribing them if they had any idea how dangerous they are. In 2003, the FDA added a warning about the increased risk of stroke to the U.S. prescribing information for risperidone. The same warning followed in 2004 for olanzapine and in 2005 for aripiprazole. Mood stabilizers are anticonvulsants that do not stabilize mood, but suppress emotional responses by sedating and calming people. Psychiatrists have never precisely defined this term. It's no surprise that doctors believe anticonvulsants work for mania, since anything that sedates people helps with mania. All information is provided without guarantee. This is simply meant to be constructive criticism that might help someone.β
βTreatment at this clinic has been good. The staff, nurses and professionals are caring and dedicated to getting patients the help they need. They create a supportive environment that makes a real difference in the recovery process. Which is of course, very much appreciated. Want to wish a Merry Christmas and happy new year in advance, to all. And of course your loved ones as well! Many thanks!β
βMy loved one was an inpatient at LH for 4 months in 2023. Cherrywood Ward. Our experience of the hospital was very good. The nurses, reception, doctors are all approachable and friendly. This place is really to sort the right medication out. It was our first experience of a psychiatric hospital and a huge shock. I made a point of chatting to any patients and staff on visits, it must be a difficult job and some patients unfortunately have no family at all. Kindness costs nothing. There is a large communal area on each ward, with an outdoor courtyard. Bedrooms are small with en suite. There are occupational therapy groups for patients like walking group, music group, breakfast club, self care group, chicken group, exercise group which are all simple ideas but very enjoyable. Do not be afraid to keep calling the ward for updates. Doctors usually call back with updates. They are very short staffed due to funding but I found them to be approachable and helpful. There is a wonderful family support lady called Kat who can find out any information you need if you call her. Also a monthly CPA meeting you are invited to attend. We stayed in close contact with our loved one by phone and we visited and took them out for a few hours when well enough and also home leave for two nights. Nearest pub for lunch is The Wharf , nice reasonably priced little cafe called Lizzieβs and also the country park is good. We also took our loved one for a haircut and beauty treatments to Guys n Dolls round the corner who were absolutely amazing with her when she was so unwell.β
βVery satisfactory appointments with dietician. Very supportive and focussed manner on me and my problem. Delightful warm professional woman. Thank you to her.β

βFantastic GP service my 3rd in area as others so poor and couldnβt be happier with everything my GP is amazing and Iβm a complex patient so makes such a difference to my healthβ
βMy husband had a blood test booked here today, first time at this location as the Walthamstow clinic we have used before is closed. Was a bit anxious given the reviews, but after dropping him off at the door at the rear of the building, I pulled into the parking lot opposite. Sent him a message saying where I was parked, got out to faff about with some stuff in the boot and, by the time I was closing the boot, he was walking back towards me, all done! He said the staff were really nice, too. Cannot imagine how it could have been a better experience. Thank you!β
βThank you Nurse Dolores for being so thorough and attentive during my Asthma review and also for emailing your colleague for me. Thank you once AGAIN to Charly for providing me with the appropriate travel prescription documents in the form of a TOKEN PRESCRIPTION (which is something they DO provide regardless of what certain people at reception may say) 5 stars for Charly and Dolores.β
βIt's only been a week but I'm so impressed by this school and their priorities and their focus! My daughter joined a week a go and was bullied badly in first day which was devastating. The way the school dealt with it was nothing short of on par. I'm so impressed! I avoided this school for rumours etc for 3 years but had to give in due to change of circumstances. First day was devastating but the school absolutely nailed it and my daughter is so happy there! Really incredible response from the school. Yr 8 leaders ..hats off!!!! Xx thank you so so much xβ
βRecently went for our travel vaccines. Reception was helpful and offered flexible appointments. The nurse on the day was really knowledgeable and patient with my nerves around needles. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.β
βCalled on behalf of my mum, very helpful receptionist. You can tell they work hard and deserve recognition for being on the frontline. Can't stand people complaining about a FREE NHS service. got a problem? go private, stop wasting people's time who are much more grateful for the cancer treatment they receive.β
βI was honestly so discouraged by the reviews that I was planning on cancelling my appointment, but I have to tell you I had a completely different experience. The ladies in the reception were lovely, my counsellor was fantastic, Iβve had multiple therapists in the past and for the first time I actually felt heard. Also just from sitting in the waiting room and overhearing the counsellors escorting their patients out the premises, everyone is so kind here. I saw another review saying the ladies in the reception area donβt answer the phone, but I heard them answering, I saw them helping visitors, Iβm quite confused by the terrible reviews but I guess everyone has different expectations. Iβm really grateful for getting such a lovely counsellor and I would encourage anyone reading this to at least give the centre a go because it might not be as bad as the reviews make it out to be.β
βHad a pleasant experience with this surgery. Brought my elderly mum for her appointment. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. We waited no more than 5 minutes and met with a very kind and friendly Dr. Glad my mum is with this surgery.β
βJust registered my mother, excellent service from Mary on reception, who was very supportive and understanding. managed to speak to a doctor within one hour. Thank you very much, kind regards, Allan Rose 20 Braithwaiteβ
