“This gem of a park, located a few blocks south of East Croydon Station, is situated on a beautifully landscaped grassy hillside that slopes gradually upwards as one walks through the park away from the station. The roughly rectangular open space that comprises the park is punctuated by mainly old-growth trees that line the paved walkways and are interspersed among the adjacent lawns. There are plenty of robust park benches along the main paths, inside the Walled Garden and adjacent to the park's southern perimeter, where there are decent views of Croydon's skyline, such as it is. Facilities within the park include swings, tennis courts, and basketball courts. No cafes are currently open onsite. Towards the summit of the slope stands a landmark, the Old Water Tower, which is not open to visitors. An adjacent path leads to a residential area through which one can easily walk downhill to Lloyd Park via mostly quiet side streets and several off road pedestrian paths.”

“This is an absolutely fabulous park in Norwood. There are beautiful open spaces to walk your dog and lovely paths under trees. There is a huge lake which is home to many birds and wildlife. Very relaxing part of London. Can’t recommend enough to spend some time walking here and it is surprisingly quiet.”

“Great furniture store and cafe. We had to return some furniture as we ordered the wrong item our mistake. The return process was easy you just enter a code then go to a till 40 seconds and it was all done. We then headed upstairs to try the cafe, it was breakfast time so that's what we had I tried the £2.99 vegetarian breakfast it was delicious the coffee tasted good also. For the price and quality it without a doubt its a great breakfast stop. Someone on the reviews said on their visit the cafe was dirty, on my visit I found the cafe area spotless and fresh throughout. My appreciation to the cleaning staff thanks. After that we headed through the store again I really enjoyed it I found no faults whatsoever. Disabled access is brilliant throughout. My only concern was all the staff we encountered were very unhappy and non engaging without any exceptions such a shame, perhaps its not a good place to work maybe.”

“Calvin at Dreams Croydon was a very pleasant young man, when we went into the store on Friday to purchase a new bed and mattress. He offered us a drink and made us feel very welcoming. He dedicated lots of his time in making sure we tried the mattress and pillows. Very helpful and very polite. Will highly recommend Dreams.”

“This restaurant is superb. Everything is homemade, even the chilli and garlic sauces, and the meat is wonderfully spiced and flavoursome. It is family run and operated and the pride that goes into the food and service is apparent. I would not hesitate to dine here again and to recommend this place to friends and family.”

“IKEA, love this place, I could happily spend the day browsing around the numerous merchandise and fabulous displays. Only problem is when you reach the checkouts, queues and not enough self-service tills open. But I got what I want and will return.”

“We were so impressed of the staff, the reception lady checked us in early. The breakfast is amazing, overall the foods are so fresh and delicious. Adela was so kind to assist us about collecting our car from nearby mall where we parked. The hotel has a strategic location, it’s surrounded with good restaurants. “Our first time at Flip out, Croydon. We had our son's birthday there today. It was great and the staff were fantastic. Priyanka was our party host and we could not have asked for any more from her. Even though they were very busy, she was always smiling and ready to help with any requests. Nothing was too much to ask. It was an excellent service all round and the place was fun for the kids. “Rashmi, the Duty Manager, has consistently provided outstanding service every time I’ve stayed at this Premier Inn. This isn’t the first time she has attended to me, and each experience with her has been nothing short of excellent. The very first time I came here, the lift wasn’t working and I had very heavy luggage. I was stressed, but Rashmi handled the situation with so much patience, kindness, and calmness. She reassured me, made me feel completely at ease, and even arranged a room closer so that it wouldn’t be difficult or tiring for me. That thoughtful gesture has stayed with me. Since then, every time I’ve returned, Rashmi has always shown the same level of care, professionalism, and genuine kindness. She remembers guests, she listens, and she truly goes above and beyond to make sure everything is comfortable. People like Rashmi are the reason guests return. She is an absolute credit to the hotel, and I’m truly grateful for all her help.”

“Very nice hotel. Is not expensive but the services are very good for the money. The rooms are clean, every day the cleaners change the bed sheets, towels and consumables. The rooms have big LCD TV, air conditioning, hair dryer, kettle, mini fridge, safe and microwave oven. The room doors are locked with electronic latches wich sometimes doesn't work properly because of magnetic cards, but the problem is very well known by the hotel employees and they will change your card without any problems. Parking is not free and you can park at the basement of the hotel or into Ibis hotel parking.”

“Arranged a full clean of our range cooker, hob and extractor as part of our end of tenancy clean. Michael was so easy to contact, through phone call or text, super transparent about costs so there was no hidden fees or surprises. He was on time, friendly and got the job done to such a high standard! We couldn't be more pleased. We will definitely be using his service in our new home and also for upholstery cleaning. “Selsdon Nature Reserve is a wonderful place to walk the dogs. There many loads of different tracks around the woods and fields, easy to get lost but just keep walking and you will eventually find your way back to the car. There are various entry points, I prefer using the car park which can get full but you can then park on the road. Mostly dry over the summer months, winter it can get very muddy, all part of the fun they tell me…..”
