“The Old ship is a classic lunch time spot in Richmond. They have a lot of space both down and upstairs, with the upstairs being an unbelievable event space. We come regularly for lunch and it never fails. As a gluten free man the cider battered fish and chips went down a treat, as well as the pint in the picture below ‘Bandit’. One of nicest gluten free pints I have had in years.”

“Atmosphere-superb. Food-superb. Customer service-superb. Deliberating where to have lunch, looking at the menu here when the waiter approached us. The warm welcome lured us in and we were not disappointed. Recommendations for drinks, a very well looked after 9 year old and plates finished. Not residents of London but frequent visitors. “If you're seeking a delightful and welcoming spot along the Thames in Richmond, you simply must visit this authentic German Beer Garden! Just a short stroll from Richmond Bridge, it boasts incredible, panoramic views towards Richmond Hill. Beyond the scenery, we loved the true family-style experience, complete with shared tables shaded by large umbrellas which are brilliant for protection from the elements. It's clearly a place that embraces everyone, as it's wonderfully pet-friendly. The combination of superb food and a genuine selection of Munich beers made for an unforgettable afternoon. We can't wait to go back!”

“Had a lovely stay. The room was great, such a comfy bed and air conditioning was great. The spa was amazing especially loved the garden really unique and made our stay memorable. Food was great also even though we ordered super late!! Whole place smells amazing as well. Friendly staff also.”

“Stayed here for several days on a trip to London. All the staff we encountered were pleasant, friendly and welcoming. The room itself was very fresh, clean and had a good amount of space. We had twin beds, a small table and chair set, an opening window, TV, small area to hang and store clothes, plus the bathroom. There was also air conditioning in the room, and it wasn't the most powerful but a welcomed addition. We had the breakfast, cooked breakfast and cold items like cereal and fruit were there. Not a massive selection, but enough to keep you going for the day going forward. Hotel felt safe as well. The hotel has great access to bus stops, virtually outside the door which can help you get around the area or down to the train/tube station. Although the walk to Richmond town is not far if you are able to do the walk.”

“A private hire of the Richmond Royale - we had a fantastic trip from Richmond to Hampton Court and back over four hours. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Turks pointed us towards a few caterers - Chilibees made a selection of delicious canapes which were already on the boat for us when we were picked up. A beautiful day to be up on the top deck with a drink or two from the onboard bar, enjoying the river views. Thank you Turks, highly recommended!”

“Stayed 24.11.24 After reading the reviews was really dubious about staying here, but only paying £31 for a night we checked in quite late after spending rhe day in London. On arrival we could smell fresh paint and the reception area was smart and clean. Very friendly chap at check in. We went up to our room (218) and was pleasantly surprised. New TV, freshly decorated. Smart clean and presentable. Our room was at the front and for a Sunday night was quiet and we slept soundly with the window open. Would definitely stay here again.”

“We booked a table for 5 and were lucky enough to be served by Michael who was kind and attentive. The food was amazing. Most of us had pizza which was fresh and delicious. The younger members also enjoyed the delicious gelato afterwards. We look forward to returning again”

“I needed a short haircut due to undergoing chemo treatment. My hairdresser Caitlin did a great job putting me at ease and checking I was happy at each stage of the cut. She had lots of experience and could see what style would best suit my hair and face shape. This was a great value haircut, with friendly and compassionate service. “It was such a delight to experience the festive afternoon tea here at The Petersham. The staff and service were excellent and were attentive, the atmosphere was great, I especially loved the magical Snow effect. It was nice to eat delicious food with a lovely view. I highly recommend!”

“Wedding venue We got married at the Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond on the 18th of October and couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day. We chose the winter wedding package, and everything from start to finish was beautifully organised. Laure was absolutely wonderful – calm, patient, and so responsive throughout the whole planning process. She explained everything clearly, gave fantastic advice, and it was lovely to have her there on the day with her calm, kind and reassuring manner. The venue looked stunning, with the room very professionally set up and the riverside location providing a beautiful backdrop. The food was exceptional – so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was and how smoothly the whole day ran. The fire pit, hot chocolate, and mulled wine were the perfect added touches for an autumn wedding. A huge thank you to Laure, Sherry, and the entire team at the Bingham Riverhouse for making our wedding day so special. Everything was flawless, and we’ll remember the day for years to come. “First time at this particular PI and the difference between here and the one up the road (London Twickenham Stadium) are poles apart. There is parking but we turned up around 21:00 and I was lucky to find a spot; the car park does serve the Beefeater next door. The front door is automatic which is handy when you have a lot of bags but the inner doors are manual. We were greeted by a friendly, very helpful and enthusiastic member of staff. Our room was on the first floor (no lift) at the front of the building and although there was a busy main road and a bus stop outside it wasn’t that noisy. The room and bathroom seem bigger and as usual the bed is very comfortable. The wardrobe/ shelving unit is lovely and big, easily fits 4 days of our clothes and four big shelves for all your other bits. In this PI the rooms have A/C and having bus stops outside is an added bonus. Only negative is that the toilets don’t flush very well.”

“Small, slightly decent hotel in London, but the tube is about ten minutes away. There is a small kitchen and two bathrooms. The rooms are really small and each has a TV. It is good value for money.”
