“I lovely pub for Sunday Roast. The interior and atmosphere is lovely and gets very busy on Sunday. I think all the roast options are great except for the beef because you get a very small portion of meat compared to the other dishes. The apple and pear crumble is unbelievably sweet beyond imagination and you have to pay £1 for the tiniest portion (size of espresso) , either make it larger or make it free at that point!”

“We came here for Sunday lunch after a very nice walk in Epping forest. There were a lot of free spaces both inside and outside. The food is good but the portions a little small for the prices. The halloumi fries were literally 6 pieces. If you want to sit outside, there is no table service so you need to go inside to order. The forest fruit bun could be improved as the taste seems very artificial. The veggie Sunday roast, waffle and cherry cake were very good. There is a big parking outside.”

“Always great to stay here when in London,this could be our last if the old place closes.old but cosy roons Have so many fond memories here over the years, great theme nights,christmas dinners new years eve nights,the buffet breakfast, the great staff,always willing to help,remember Ken helping with our bags in Dec 2019 to the top floor and sending tea and cakes up after our long journey, Julie helping us out arranging our wedding pre covid,which we had to cancel due to covid. This place will be so missed by regulars, tourists, local shops and trades if the Clarendon closes. Hopefully there will be one more Christmas at least,even better many many more.”

“Ordered this through the TooGoodToGoo app, I received a chicken burger with chips and a drink. This tasted really good, the chicken tasted really fresh and I really enjoyed it. “Way Better Than Nando’s – Hidden Gem in Woolwich! Absolutely blown away by Rooster’s Piri Piri in Woolwich! The food was seriously delicious – full of flavour, perfectly grilled, and the portions were so generous. You can really taste the difference in quality compared to other places. Honestly, this place puts Nando’s to shame. Rooster’s has that real homemade feel with better taste, better value, and way more heart. If you’re in Woolwich and haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out! Will definitely be back – highly recommend!”

The shredded beef was tender and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness, and the chicken noodles were spot on. Great portions, great taste — will definitely be visiting here again!”

The guy who took my order was lovely and catered for a fussy eater. The delivery driver called me to update me where he was and was very polite and friendly when he delivered my food. “I have to say, I was very impressed with their burgers. I ordered through Uber Eats and got their Roadhouse Beef Chilli Smash and New York Taxi. Both burgers were delicious. The chilli burger didn't have much chilli inside so could make that improvement but the quality of the beef was very good. The New York Taxi burger was my favourite. Flavoursome, good portion and great toppings. Highly recommend.”
