“Really lovely, friendly little café that has the distinction of serving a selection of excellent loose-leaf teas - this is unusual nowadays, with so many places focusing on serving coffee rather than tea. The sandwiches are very good too. It's tucked away in a pretty, quiet street with rows of18th century houses, a few minutes away from the touristy bustle of central Greenwich. Well worth the slight detour.”

“Very nice friendly pub. Amazing pizza which was a suprise first time! I now order pizza via phone and collect instead of ordering a takeaway from elsewhere because of the quality and the price. There is a gluten free option of pizza as well. Photo shows gluten free in foreground and normal in the background. Burgers was also good. There's also a bottomless brunch and a good pub quiz on Tuesdays. Overall great place.”

Just moved into the area and arrived without reservation, the team were more than happy to fit four of us (& our dog!) into the restaurant - the service was exceptional - provided beer tasters before ordering the white chocolate stout they had on tap along with a great selection. The menu is brilliant, we all had burgers they were delicious. Cocktails after also great. Definite 5 star spot!”

“Went for a birthday breakfast at the Royal Lancaster hotel, I had the breakfast buffet and was very happy with everything, the service was great, the breakfast options were plenty, with sweet and savoury there was something for everyone, please note if you’re Muslim you’ll have to request halal sausages from the kitchen as the ones out aren’t halal but glad there’s an option for that. The French toast was also amazing. Marcelina, Mounir and Ayska were lovely and very attentive throughout our breakfast, thank you again.”

“Have stayed here twice and have been blown away both times. Rooms are beautiful, great attention to detail with the treats in the room, everything is clean and the facilities available are fantastic. The Spa in particular was a wonderful experience, the staff are so warming and knowledgeable, and the massage was 10/10. The breakfast has a fantastic selection, proper quality ingredients and you can order cooked dishes off a menu if you wish. Will definitely be back. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the staff are so friendly and will look after you. Was also very useful when I had a concert at the O2 as you could just go down this long corridor that connects to the O2, so no needs to go outside!”

“Grew up in the area. Lived abroad for many years. Moved back. This pub has gone under so many changes over that time and I am delighted with it now. Clientele and staff are so nice. It’s the kinda place a pub should be; accepting and friendly no matter who you are. Staff often go above and beyond too; for example Zander always makes a proper good espresso martini (not a normal pub drink, but as I said “above and beyond”). If you are a nice person, come on down; if not, jog on.”

The gentleman at the front desk was excellent – clear, attentive, and immediately helped us choose the perfect room. We felt relaxed from the start. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a stunning view over London. After a lovely evening walk to see the Christmas lights, we returned to find champagne glasses kindly delivered to our room, which made the night feel even more special. A warm bath, a glass of sparkling wine, and time together – the perfect end to the day. Breakfast in the morning was just as impressive: friendly staff, fresh juice, a proper English breakfast, and plenty of delicious pastries. We left absolutely delighted. A truly memorable stay.”
