“The food is always very lovely & tasty. I made an order and they didn't have lamb, they called and asked what we would like in place with free of charge. Very polite & great customer service. I have never had a complaint about Royal Tandoori. Would highly recommend.”

“Borough is blessed with some good pubs but this is my favorite. Harvey's owned, which means a wider range of Harvey's beers than anywhere else in London. PIES. Be warned, is now very popular. Book a table if you want to eat in the evening.”

“Grew up in the area. Lived abroad for many years. Moved back. This pub has gone under so many changes over that time and I am delighted with it now. Clientele and staff are so nice. It’s the kinda place a pub should be; accepting and friendly no matter who you are. Staff often go above and beyond too; for example Zander always makes a proper good espresso martini (not a normal pub drink, but as I said “above and beyond”). If you are a nice person, come on down; if not, jog on.”

“We had a wonderful one-night stay and truly enjoyed every moment. From the very first step inside, the reception team welcomed us with genuine English hospitality. The gentleman at the front desk was excellent – clear, attentive, and immediately helped us choose the perfect room. We felt relaxed from the start. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a stunning view over London. After a lovely evening walk to see the Christmas lights, we returned to find champagne glasses kindly delivered to our room, which made the night feel even more special. A warm bath, a glass of sparkling wine, and time together – the perfect end to the day. Breakfast in the morning was just as impressive: friendly staff, fresh juice, a proper English breakfast, and plenty of delicious pastries. We left absolutely delighted. A truly memorable stay.”

“What a lovely hotel in such a great location, everywhere was easy to walk to, lots of things to see and do in the area and easily accessible. Check in was extremely friendly and all the staff were very attentive. We had a few drinks in the bay where the staff were also very attentive and helpful. Rooms were a nice size with everything we needed…. Except a kettle and tea making equipment or so we thought… partner found it in a drawer just before we left! We had even gone for an early morning walk just to get a cuppa and presumed the hotel had gone down the American route if just providing coffee…. Just a suggestion but it would have been helpful to have been told about the location of tea making equipment or a sign somewhere in the room. Likewise I didn’t find the mirror until we left either! Other than this it was great, a lovely comfy bed with very nice bedlinen. Nice toiletries in the bathroom and it was nice to have a separate bath and shower. Would definitely stay again”

“Just back from an absolute dream holiday to the Galapagos that Ivan booked for us fairly last minute! Whole process was incredibly easy and the trip went off without a hitch. Would strongly recommend if you want to do any sort of complex holiday. Will definitely be using them in future.”

“Visiting family in the area from the US happened to take the recommendation to visit this chain for lunch, we had two young kids with us and we had heard they had a good children’s menu. The restaurant is very close to Boston Manor tube station. It’s a converted pub which has nicely been upgraded both inside and outside. I was very impressed with the interior, it was really nice, clean and had numerous area to be seated. There’s even a full bar and lovely outdoor seating although on our visit was too cold for us. We were seated quickly and I noticed the folks were definitely older (retired crowd) I suspect this was for the lunch special. It was fine by us. This is not fine dining and reminds me of an upmarket ‘Olive Garden’ from the US. We had a really nice server. We settled on the lunch special which was awesome. Food was very good and pudding was awesome! Unbelievable for £14. (Two courses). Unlimited salad bar of very high quality salad items. We all really enjoyed our food. Kids were happy and full. Definitely recommend for food.”

“This was my first visit here, the service was first class and the restaurant spacious, clean and tidy. All members of staff were polite and couldn't be more helpful. The food tasted excellent and was good size portions with large and tender chicken pieces. All the flavours cane through really well. I totally enjoyed the visit. Sadek is doing a fantastic job running the establishment, well done, keep up the good work! Both female waitresses were extremely polite and quick providing a first class service. I will definitely visit again when I'm next in the Dartford area. Highly recommend, 10/10.”

“Fantastic dinner - the chutney selection for the papadums was sensational especially that pickled chilli! Had the garlic chili chicken, aloo ghobi and chana massala - would have been enough for two people the portions were really generous! Also very friendly people on the night, very welcoming.”

“Like the Black Horse, this is a pub that's more of a food place than a pub, but there's a proper bar area if you're just in there for drinks. Food is good and they often have deals on. They often have entertainment on, although this is usually just a solo singer with backing tracks. The pub quiz is once a month on the first Monday of the month (although is moving to twice a month in 2026); it's a good quiz with 8 rounds of questions on a variation of subjects. Overall a decent place for the locals of Pilgrims Hatch!”

“My husband and I always eat here when we're seeing a show. The service is always good, but last night it was exceptional. Sony, our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and the cocktails. He was attentive without being intrusive. Sony made us feel welcome and at ease as soon as he came to our table. The food was amazing, fresh, beautifully cooked, and presented. The food is consistently good, and Sony made the evening even better. He's a credit to the establishment, and we hope he's our waiter when we are next there in November.”

“Lovely little pub. Characterful with a mix of people, a locals’ pub but everyone welcome. One very nice chap bought me a drink at last orders, had a really good chat afters. Really classy, fun young lady running the bar, a real natural at it, a throwback to the good old days. She asked me if I had any last requests for the music, which was granted (I asked for Lenny Kravitz) and she told me about the place, and where the fantastic paintings of London streets on the walls came from (no spoilers, go in and ask!)”

“Not my usual.pub but was very pleasantly surprised. Went there as I knew the football would be on. Very friendly customers and landlord. Its had a few landlords during my years in Caterham and I think Danny is one of the best. Real ale was in very good condition. I wish him every success for the future”

“Managed to get a last minute booking for Sunday lunch and how happy I was that we did. From the minute we arrived and were welcomed, by Joel our waiter, the experience just got better and better. Joel was lovely and so good with the children as well. Advised us on food options and very courteous and friendly. And the roast dinner was just amazing, I had lamb rump, 2 of us had the trio of roast and 1 had the pie of the day. Food was absolutely great, best roast dinner I have had for years. Will be back.”

“We stayed in a suite for my partners birthday having stayed here previously and not being happy with the stay the hotel made an extra effort to make the stay really enjoyable. There were balloons in the room and cakes and complimentary drinks. The hotel is well placed and is presented very nicely. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious. It was a lot different from the previous stay and felt like they had listened to feedback and improved ten fold! Following this visit, I would not hesitate to stay here again, it had the feel of a luxury hotel which is the way it should be.”

“Excellent hotel. Not far from restaurants. The staff were very kind and helpful. Nothing too much trouble for them. There are a few steps up to the hotel. I have a mobility scooter, to bring indoors. There was an accessible lift round the back and was helped in and out of the hotel. The restaurant food was wow good. Plenty of choice for breakfast and good quality.”

“It is customary to post, post departure but I must give credit to all staff and venue. The amenities are good and staff well attentive. The Xmas theme and little treats are more than welcoming and a pleasant surprise. The service and food are amazing. This was a great idea and thank you to the entire team. Will definitely recommend and return.”

“We were walking the Thames path and stayed in this hotel when we visited Windsor. The service was excellent. The gentleman who served us in the restaurant was the standout experience during our stay. The breakfast was excellent and the location perfect. The bed was very comfortable, the shower powerful and the room was clean. If I have any criticism, it’s that the decor is looking tired and in need of some improvement. That said I gladly stay at thd hotel again.”

“Last night, I went here for dinner with my family, and honestly, it was a wonderful experience! Tried chicken tikka and kebab roll here for the first time - both were so delicious that I can't even describe them in words. The butter chicken was also very very very tasty! The service was excellent- the waitress was extremely kind, spoke with a lovely smile and the service was really fast. I would definitely love to come here again.
