“We went for an early dinner this afternoon. Was seated and served immediately. We ordered OMNINO SAMPLER INCLUDE FILLET, RUMP, RIBEYE & SIRLOIN 1.2KG. Between my husband and I, we finished it all. It was delicious steaks. Good value! Will go back again.”

“Dining on my own at a counter seat, which over looked the steaks being cooked on the grill. A cocktail and a couple of glasses of very nice wine. An unexpected appetiser of bread and melting bone marrow fat was lovely. I then went for the steak tartare, a t-bone with chips and honey carrots. All were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. I have been to most of the top steak restaurants in London and this is right up there too The waiter was attentive without being a pain and the other few staff I spoke to were very cheerful. Thoroughly recommend this place, even if it’s a bit pricey”

“This is my favourite place in this area. If I work nearby, I always come here for lunch. The eat in menu changes slightly everyday and the food is fresh and tasty for what you get. I have been a fan for over 10 years!”

“Police staff, clean environment very good atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating area. Food served and cooked to order coming up very hot and fresh. “Stumbled upon this place whilst walking to Acton Station. Very authentic feeling Italian place, was served by who I presume is the owner who was very friendly and made me feel at home. “Been meaning to leave a review for a very long time, however managed to forget..probably due to the fantastic friendly service we always receive from the team. We are always welcomed with open arms and the team bend over backwards to accommodate us. I must shout out the whole team… they’re all amazing… however, Becks has served us since we first started coming here, since moving in locally, before Jason the Head Chef joined, she was the main reason for our return. Jason joined, the food has been out of this world… I would recommend the roasts - they’re delicious! The beef is served pink and the vegetables are cooked perfectly and well seasoned. It’s always a pleasure coming to visit The Black Horse and we cannot recommend it enough. Final shout out to Becks, Jason… our favourites… and of course Harry, Layla, Ben, Jess, Jack and Ollie. ❤️❤️❤️”

“My partner and I go here frequently for the Sunday ‘buffet’. We get a mix of two starters and choice of 4 mains plus sides. Loads of high quality food for a great price! Our favourites are choyela chicken for starter, piro lamb for main and hariyo mismass for side. Also the naan bread is divine! Unfortunately they haven’t had the piro lamb as one of the 4 main options the past handful of times we’ve been. Hopefully tomorrow is the day it returns to the selection!”

“A large party of us on Sunday and all served quickly with delicious hot food. Little dining foibles of our younger diners were faultlessly accommodated allowing the parents to also enjoy their meals, not always the case in other restaurants. I didn't pay but understand that it was a fair price for the excellent quality and service, thanks. On a personal note it was good to have a proper espresso and not one of those machine things masquerading as coffee in other restaurants.”

“I went to La Mia Mamma for my birthday with a group of 11 girls. We had a table at 7pm on Saturday evening and had the pasta set menu- starters, 3 types of pasta and desserts afterwards. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was fun- they bought the desserts out singing for my birthday with all the staff. Food was beautiful and plenty of it (with a prosecco included)! Habib was great to us. So grateful and thank you to Krisha for organising it all very well, too.”

“Came to Megan’s for a meal with my mum and sister to kick off my hen do weekend. We had never been before but had the best evening here! Firstly, the restaurant is magical and outdoor seating has a stunning view. Made the most of happy hour and the cocktails definitely didn’t disappoint! The staff all had amazing energy with genuine interest in their customers and fantastic communication skills. They seemed like they loved their job and team, wouldn’t stop smiling and laughing ❤️ as for the food, the best meal we’ve had in a long time. A treat but also tasted super fresh with good ingredients and not greasy. Thank you so much!”

“Wow! So this was a quick last minute dinner with my son. The restaurant was very accommodating and was very patient with our indecisiveness. When we finally knew what we wanted we were thoroughly impressed. From the quality of food, to taste, to service, everything was just perfection. A personal recommendation for their scallops with Caviar. Please please order this. Its one of the best things I've ever tasted. Complements to the chef for great preparation and great timing also (leaving a little gap between starters and mains so we weren't really full. A very nice touch). Great Service and will be back!”

“Might have found my new favourite local spot… came for the name and was pleasantly surprised by the charming and characterful decor, Hungarian pop (?) music & the DELICIOUS and generously portioned food. I had the goulash soup and the cabbage rolls but need to come back to try everything else including the desserts. It also came with fresh, warm bread which I ate way too much of so the owner kindly gave me a takeaway box for my main. 10/10 can’t wait to come again”

I wish the owner and staff well and hope it reopens I love to support local businesses and The Highland Steakhouse never fails to disappoint. The owner is ever present and welcoming. I highly recommend my usuals, deep fried Camembert followed by chicken highland accompanied by freshly made chips, deep fried onions and courgettes, an absolute joy.”

“Being new to the area means lots to discover. Kitchen West Wickham is one of those little gems that you won't regret taking a chance on: we certainly don't! The service was just great. Everyone working here seems so incredibly nice, polite, helpful and they have such welcoming smiles! We ordered the Turkish, veg and the full English breakfasts along with a variety of coffees. They were all delicious! My compliments to the team working in the kitchen for their efficiency and the quality of the food! If you're in the West Wickham area, I definitely recommend stopping in. If the people don't bring a smile to your face, the food should do the trick.”

“We are visiting from Australia for five weeks, and just called in for a drink. Atmosphere was so good and the girl who served us was so inviting we said we would come back another day before we left. Two weeks later we stopped in for another drink and decided to stay for a meal. Wonderful food, same welcoming waitress again. The cousins we were staying with who live in Horsley who hadn’t been to the restaurant stall, heard all about this place. We ALL went back today and shared a wonderful lunch, our same waitress was there and a wonderful older man who told lots of ‘nice’ jokes. Love this place.
