The assistant helped find the right necklace too. The clothes are a pleasure to wear and don’t fall apart after the first wearing. They certainly tell the story of our lives that’s for sure. “I have been visiting M and R barbers for at least 8 years now. Myself and my son have a re-occurring appointment with Raff or one of his skilled barbers. I have found the staff patient and accommodating with regards to my own time keeping and the temperament of my once toddler-aged son. Raff is passionate about his craft and engaging in conversation. I have enjoyed the beverages on offer during my many visits. I find the process almost automated due to the ease of picking a slot on the app and a barber waiting upon our arrival. We have regular haircuts and I have now added a beard trim to the booking. My father-in-law who lives in the north of the country still books in to see Raff during his regular visits(which is a review unto itself) There is always a smile on our faces leaving the barbers due to its relaxing environment and quality haircuts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend M and R barbers to anyone in the Guildford area.”

She has beautifully designed every tattoo I have asked for to a higher standard & with more creative ideas then I could ever imagine. My favourite thing about Aimee Lou is... She designs everything for me & will never copy any other work. You can leave with the comfort of knowing that she will not give your designs to anyone else so you can stay unique! (This is from experience of someone requesting a tattoo of mine. She changed the design up & gave them something new & I get to keep my unique tattoo!) She is also a dream to be with & chat to whilst tattooing! She’s also got a very gentle touch & I don’t think I could have got through my elbow tattoo with anyone else! From the moment I stepped foot into AD, Muss was incredibly helpful, informative and helped me find my perfect suit! I picked my suit up today (because they had to order in my size of trousers). “I received a lovely warm welcome in store. It looked and smelt devine. It’s just so beautiful inside. I browsed happily in a relaxed unhurried way. I was offered help but preferred to look myself. This store has a great selection of brands that I hadn’t seen before. It’s a wonderful independent boutique that has so much to offer if you’re looking for something special or some elevated everyday wear. It also has some fabulous resort wear. I was looking for a shirt to dress up and wear with jeans. The Gate Boutique had the perfect crisp white one by Second Female. It is excellent quality, and beautiful soft cotton that looks smart. There were a few I liked and was able to try in a lovely curtained changing cubicle. It was really well priced too. The Gate gives great customer service with just the right amount of friendly attention without any pressure to buy. I came away delighted by my shopping experience and my perfect shirt which is my firm favourite now. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend popping in.”

“Exceptional Hospitality and a Truly Comfortable Stay We visited the hotel for 3 nights for a company conference which was being held there. It was just over an hour from London centre on the train, or uber so we took the advantage of going into London centre while we were over there. All of the staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. From the warm welcome we received at reception very late on, after a long and difficult journey, to the attentive and efficient food and beverage team, every interaction was a pleasure. We were honestly pleasantly surprised, this was one of the nicest experiences we’ve had at a in this country, and we’ve stayed in many hotels here. The level of service and genuine hospitality really stood out. The hotel has been recently been refurbished and although it hasn’t lost its traditional feel, it feels lovely, clean and modern. Our family room was very spacious! It was probably one of the hottest weekends of the year, so we were relieved to find a decent fan in the wardrobe which kept the room cool. The beds were really comfy and it was nice that the extra bed wasn’t a sofa bed, as our daughter is nearly 18. The room for our conference was lovely with a stunning balcony which elevated the room and the food was excellent! Highly recommended!”

“I have been visiting this shop for many years. Gerard Darel clothes are well made and stylish and a very acceptable price point in comparison with other designer brands. Each season the colours are always very flattering. I am loyal to this shop partly because the Manager, Ilona, has given me invaluable help over the years. She instinctively knows what will suit me and successfully encourages me to try styles I would not have immediately thought of. I wish there were more shops like this in Guildford.”
