“A very cozy cafe in Whitefield. We ordered the Turkish Full Breakfast, very tasty and generous portion. The seeded simit with honey and butter really impressed me. Highly recommended.”

“We booked initially for 10 people but then added an extra 9. The restaurant were very accommodating and did everything to ensure we had the best night. We pre-ordered our food so everything was ready together - one of our party even said how great it was doing the pre-order so we could just enjoy our evening. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and were able to put up a banner and take balloons. The staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Now onto the food- which was delicious. All dishes were presented well and were very fresh and tasty - which is how I expect Mediterranean food to be. The mixed grill was cooked perfectly and from what the rest of the party said - their dishes were amazing too. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back. Massive thanks to Mina who did a fantastic job of looking after us.”

“Magnificent meal to celebrate a birthday. Extremely friendly and attentive staff, and food so delicious, we’ve been dreaming about it all again today. We had the lamb birria taco (to die for!!) and a sharing tray of meats. Highly recommended, with excellent music & strong cocktails to boot. We will be back for sure! “Indian Affair is hands down my favourite spot for Indian food in Chorlton - I come here regularly and always leave full & happy. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. My go-to order is Butter Chicken with their garlic naan and perfectly cooked pilau rice. The Lamb Nihari is another favourite - rich, tender and a great portion size! And if you love street food-style starters, the Samosa Chaat is a must-try. On top of the amazing food, the prices are really reasonable for the quality you get. Whether you’re dining in or getting a takeaway, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend checking this place out!”

“Was excited to visit Hea as I'd seen it last time I went to Prestwich but had already eaten at the makers market. We finally went on the weekend and it didn't disappoint! It's a small cafe so you might not find a seat quickly as when we went it was busy, but luckily the table in the window was available. There's lots to choose from on the menu such as Hong Kong style sandwiches, toast, and street food, as well as Hong Kong tea, coffee and bubble tea (but there are also normal teas and coffees). We ordered the ham and egg sandwich, satay steak sandwich and pistachio toast. Unfortunately some of the wraps are limited to summer months but we hope to try those next time. The wait was a bit long as it was busy, but it was worth the wait!! All very tasty and reasonably priced, especially if you go for the set menu. I definitely want to come back and try everything else!”

“Couldn't star the food as we didn't have any HOWEVER.... the lady who owns The Gallery is an incredible artist and it shows in the decor. Before I go any further, this is also a great bar with lovely cocktails. Stunning is an understatement, there is something interesting to look at everywhere you turn. Inside and outside, just beautiful, a gorgeous place to visit. I just wish she opened every day and night, but alas, only Thursday to Saturday. Friday being the only late one till 10pm. Go and visit, you won't be disappointed.”

“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“Thank you to Neil and Tim for allowing my mothers birthday party to be held in the hall. The party could not have gone any better and Tim was on hand to help out with anything. I moved away from Withington many years ago but such a shame that we did not have a venue like this whilst I was there. Nothing was too much for Tim to do for us at the party. Thank you again for everything. My mum had such a fantastic time and could only compliment the staff for everything that they did. Absolutely 5 star review!!!”

“The Black Friar has been amazing to work with for our friendship group's annual Christmas lunch. They made the entire booking process extremely easy, with all the T&Cs clearly outlined from the start. On the day we were looked after by Jess, who was incredible, very quick to respond to any issues raised, never kept anyone waiting, so accommodating with our various quirks (like pictures), and was easy to reach when needed without making it seem like hovering. And always with a smile, of course. Truly, truly a standout member of the team deserving of all the praise. The food at the Black Friar was also divine, incredibly generous portions (that I admit, have bested me) and every bite was a pleasure for all the senses. Our whole group was very happy with the afternoon we got to spend there and we will definitely be looking into coming back for next year's annual Christmas lunch, a total gem of a pub.”

Particularly recommend wine flight Wednesday: three small (70ml) glasses of wine for a reasonable price!”

“Great little cinema which is made especially enjoyable by the little introduction that the staff do on each film, giving a little insight into how it was made, or other films the director has made. The place is welcoming to everyone, and when my partner and I went to watch The Handmaiden, there were a wide variety of people in the audience, which is always good to see.”

“Just been to watch 'Everyone's talking about Jamie'. Wow, just wow. What a brilliant production. I cried, properly cried and I turned to my friend who was also crying. The acting capability was outstanding. The venue, lovely, small and perfectly adequate. Never been to a show at the Playhouse before, but would 100% return. What an amazing night watching some talented young and older actors.”

“My daughter has attended the dance school for 9 years and currently takes classes 5 days per week. It’s her home from home and she thoroughly enjoys the challenge of the classes and the interactions she has with her teachers and classmates. The variety of class types available is great, including musical theatre which my daughter loves. The encouragement and careful teaching has allowed my daughter to excel and progress through grades gaining high marks at each step. The highlight of our Summer is always the week of Summer School!”

“The first time I went in was my first time in Manchester. I came in as a customer and got a tattoo from Stephen. The following year, I came in as a tattoo artist, and Stephen and Dan are two fantastic people. I visited the museum with "RAMBO" and it was absolutely incredible. The studio is unique, the atmosphere is sensational. If you don't know or visit Rambo's, you don't know what tattooing is! For me, it's the best studio/museum.”
