“Visited on a Sunday evening, place was quiet, large selection of drinks (deals on shots) place was clean and modern, good atmosphere. Staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming, would I visit here again, absolutely.”

“This is our 2nd visit here ( we dont live locally) so our visita are far apart. The food on both occasions was delicious. We shared the CAMEMBERT for two, with 4 slices of toasted Ciabatta and red onion relish. Extremely tasty. I had the Lentil Cottage pie with vegetables. Really tasty. Hunters chicken was very tasty too. We ate outside. Then went inside for a coffee and to investigate this lovely old house. I read and looked at the photographs on the walls and found out it had belonged to The Boddington Family. Staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly.”

“The most wonderful shopping weekend I think it's possible to have. Beautiful pastries and fresh bread, a deli counter just how they used to be and a fantastic restaurant with great food and even better service. Why can't all supermarkets be like this?”

“Very impressed. Visited on a Sunday and took advantage of the 'Sunday Offer' menu which is £15.95 for two courses. Considering the size and quality of the meals this really is fantastic value. All food was excellent. Special mention to the girls waiting on, who were friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.”

“Really lovely pub and friendly, helpful staff. Welcoming atmosphere. We came in soaking wet after a football game, and the guy behind the bar was extremely welcoming. He went out of his way to make us feel at ease and welcome and acted in a friendly, professional manner. We’ll be stopping here every time we’re nearby now. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Visited for dinner, we both wanted the pie and chips, no pies left., We then chose fish and chips and they had to check if they had fish. We were about to leave, but they had two left. The food arrived and we were pleased either the good, fish was excellent, large, chunky fish and good batter. The pub was a bit smelly, tables very sticky. Toilets really clean and tidy. Not too busy on a Monday afternoon. The pub is next to the golf course, with a great view. The pub could be so much nicer and it would increase footfall from golfers too.”

“A lot of people will disagree with this as the reputation of the Navigation Hotel is not great, but having just returned from an early afternoon meal there, I have to say it was excellent. The food can't be faulted, it's not haute cuisine, but good pub grub, with some nice options on the menu. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I much prefer it here to many other places that are more popular. Prices are very low, the fact that there are no cask beers is a little disappointing, but I was there to eat, and the John Smith's is adequate. Yes there are screens showing football, but it was not overwhelming and it wasn't full of drunken fans. I would certainly recommend the Navigation and will be back soon.”

The food is superb with first class flavours and presentation accompanied by excellent wine. All of this at incredibly affordable prices makes it an experience not to be missed! She’s always so cheerful, remembers our usual orders, and makes every visit feel personal and positive. The energy here is just different — happy staff who clearly enjoy what they do, and it shows. “We came to this branch of costa on Saturday 25th October 2025 ,my son was doing a challenge to run 103km in memory of his friend who died of MND ,we highlighted this area as a rest stop, I felt we needed to praise your staff as they allowed his sports physio to set up her table to work on the team as it was cold and breezy outside, that bit of warmth as well as coffee was very much appreciated Thank you costa staff”
