“By chance we called in as we was passing and ohh it did not fail us the food was absolute gorgeous. 5* food and value Had a share for 2. Yes 100% we will be going again.”

“We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”

The portion sizes are generous, the food is consistently delicious (the salt and pepper chips are 100% worth the extra), and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Carl always greets us with a big smile and makes us feel right at home. Highly recommend, and already looking forward to our next visit!”

“2nd time we have been here visiting Manchester, we weren't disappointed. The food is amazing,good portions and reasonably priced. Especially for a station restaurant. A visit is a must. The cocktails were fantastic too. Overall, brilliant food, brilliant friendly and helpful staff and very clean. Great place. The pictures are just the starters with cocktails.”

“Extraordinary Bar to bring in for a 16 ounces and a Game of pool or Table Football. Fantastic bar staff who rushed to serve. Likewise a decent spot to watch sport with the big screen. Splendid worth during that time 12.00pm-7.00pm £2.50 a 16 ounces on chose lagers I had carling which was right on the money. In general I would suggest a visit.”

“Great food, we had the mlnted lamb pie. I have a good appetite but the pie had me beat, asked for a doggy bag to bring home the rest. My dog Cindy enjoyed what I could not finish. Top marks for service in this child friendly bar.”

“As an international traveler I was pleasantly surprised at the way I was treated with my friends. There was understandable caution from the door team but after a positive interaction with the head door person we were allowed entry, there was quite a few of us . We all go out ID checked and that was humorous. The venue was just what we needed the place and the music was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and we had had an absolute blast! Thank you so much everybody at the Brewers, credit where credit is due!”

“Absolutely superb. What a great start to the day, from the welcome to the service & after service. I was served by a gentleman called Dillion, he really understands his customers and was exemplary in which he held himself whilst attending to his customers, from observation he anticipated customers needs and was well presented, well spoken & polite. Food was fresh and piping hot. Served with care. He and his colleagues made our visit such a lovely experience. Thank you and see you all soon.”

“We booked the Christmas dinner for 3 on Christmas day. The staff were friendly and professional and went out of their way to help. The food was lovely and we were not rushed to receive the next course. All in all a great experience and we left with full tummies. It was my partners 60th birthday as well and the staff organised a sash and a birthday card finishing it all off nicely with a candle on a mince pie. Thank you to everyone. He had a lovely surprise.”

“Really good food, it's "Americana diner" themed so expect big burgers and big fries. Their fries are absolutely gorgeous by the way, not too salty and came out red hot. Portions were also solid, not too much or too small. The pricing was also good, managed to pay for 4 people (including 2 starters and drinks) under £100. I marked service down a little because they forgot one of my guest's meals so they had to wait while everyone else was already tucking in. It was also quite dark inside, lots of tables in darkness so it was difficult to read the menu.”

“We visited in a family group. The carvery food was basic and straightforward food. It isn't gourmet food but it was tasty, very affordable and generous. The staff were attentive and helpful. Booking is recommended as it is a popular place to eat. I would definitely go again thanks to the affordability factor!”

“Me and my partner were having a look for somewhere to eat and we came across Buffalo bar and grill. Can I just say wow, the staff were lovely, the food was absolutely gorgeous and came out quickly, hot and fresh. The atmosphere was great, with music, wicked decor and a warm feel. “I ordered the Lamb Shank Curry, Grilled King Prawns, and a Plain Naan with sesame seeds. The lamb shank was outstanding, tender, and fell straight off the bone. The naan arrived hot and the chef was kind enough to add seeds on request. The prawns were full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The food carried deep spice, great texture, and rich aroma. The ambience was warm and stylish. “We absolutely love it here! are regulars at Mottram wood because as a family of 6 we find that it has everything we need for all of us. Great food, friendly staff, a good play area for the kids and an outside area. And then the food is decent pub grub at a very reasonable price. We find it to be the best play area / restaurant around Manchester. We came here for Christmas dinner which was great and so reasonably priced and today my son just had his 6th birthday party at the wacky warehouse. Alex and Jess in the play area are outstanding and can’t do enough for you and the kids adore them too.”
