“One of the best groom experiences for our cockapoo, the lady who was on today was fantastic. I had just noted our dog, Mila, is uneasy when it comes to her face and paws being groomed and if needs be to give us a call if she wasn't playing ball. No call needed, the lady took excellent care of our dog, really attentive and patient during the groom, top it off Mila came out perfectly groomed with a waggy tail. Can't recommend enough, thank you!”

“Despite my slight hesitation at using a homeopathic practitioner, I was immensely impressed with his medical knowledge and I learned considerably more about my pain in this consultation than in all the other consultations with other medics combined. Long story short - he advised me to slightly increase the standard over the counter painkiller I was currently taking by 50% (which he sold along with other less conventional medicines) and said I should expect results in 3 weeks time. “I visited the Vets with my cat Blackee on Wed 08/10/25 at 3.30pm for a 6 month health check, and was taken early as it was a quiet time. The lady at Reception was very friendly and helpful explaining about the Pet Health Club. I said for now I would pay as I went along as I wouldn't be using the services provided for the moment. The Vet/Nurse was helpful with Blackee's health - at the moment he is healthy and full of vitality for his age of 12. I explained that my other cat Ginny is doing really well on the joint supplement YuMove suggested by the Vet on her previous 6 month health check, as a few weeks ago she was struggling with her hind legs. Everyone at Mount Road Vets is very kind and gentle with the pets people take in, they really care how they are doing and the makes me feel confident in taking all my pets over the past few years, there. “I would not hesitate in recommending this vets. The entire team; reception, nurses, vet and cleaner are all very friendly and helpful. I had a concern regarding my dog, I was given an appointment straight away and after speaking to the vet blood test were recommended. The vet nurse gave me the option to wait if I wanted for the results. Within 25 mins I had the results. Thankfully my dogs results were fine and I cannot thank you enough for the peace of mind you gave me for processing these results so quickly rather than having to wait days.”

We were greeted and served by Luize, Kate, and Sue who were all very warm, welcoming, and inviting. The food was gorgeous and exactly what we needed, and the atmosphere was great (I'm an 80s child and to hear lots of the music of the time was just the icing on the cake for me). Nothing is to much trouble.Any alterations get sorted, any issues , they help.The girls and locums all go above and beyond. They have helped me out alot over the years. “I had a weird experience at first, nobody really seemed to pay attention to me whilst I was waiting because I came through a referral. They didn’t even bother to learn my name and that was so weird. I met with the pharmacist, Lawrence and he was really nice and reassuring. He listened to my complains and made a note of everything. He didn’t try to water down my symptoms, he was very very nice. He also learned my name and called me by my name all through the consultation.”

The shop is well laid out, bright and easy to navigate, with a wide range of products – from health and beauty to toiletries, baby essentials and seasonal gifts. The pharmacy service is excellent too, very reliable and efficient, which makes picking up prescriptions really convenient. The staff are always welcoming, professional and willing to go the extra mile to help you find what you need. I’ve always found the shelves well stocked and prices competitive, especially with the Advantage Card offers. It’s also in a great location on Elk Mill Shopping Park with plenty of free parking right outside, so it’s very easy to pop in while doing the rest of your shopping. Overall, a brilliant Boots branch that combines convenience with excellent customer service. Definitely recommend!”
