“Visited for a family wedding in July and was afforded a fantastic family holiday at a well kept, pristine and peaceful stay near enough to walk where needed and close enough to the calm of the forest and canal for nature morning walks with excellent coffee! “A superb spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch, where dogs are very much welcomed. The food offering is to a very high standard, whilst not the lowest prices, the cost reflects the quality of the produce. All the staff I encountered were excellent and appeared to be very enthusiastic about what they are doing. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted in the public areas.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our 1st visit to The Wycliffe Hotel, Stockport this weekend. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean and a very good size. The bed was very comfortable. We ate evening meal at the restaurant Excellent Italian food. A very good choice of dishes. Breakfast also excellent. Good choices. Cooked to order. Deliciously hot. We will definitely stay here again. We can highly recommend this hotel.”

“This venue is absolutely incredible. I’ve now been to two weddings here and thoroughly enjoyed both. It’s a proper hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Saddleworth, you honestly wouldn’t expect it to be quite so impressive from the outside. Inside, the décor is tasteful, elegant, and beautifully thought out. There’s a stunning balcony that overlooks the main dining area, and the outdoor space is massive, perfect for weddings and, I imagine, other events too. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner. I ordered some drinks I wasn’t supposed to, but he handled it really politely and respectfully. It's easy as a business owner to become jaded and not speak to people as individuals or talk down to them, but he's obviously a good dude and gives people the benefit of the doubt.”

“Attended birthday party in the Gold Suite and stayed overnight. Food was amazing at the party and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good value and again the staff were great. Lovely rooms, if a little dated. Overall a lovely stay.”

“I attended the Autumn Spa Day with my Mum today, which was a birthday gift. We had an absolutely lovely time, the facilities are wonderful, loved the various sauna/steam rooms etc available. The outdoor thermal pool was fabulous too. We also joined in with an aqua aerobics class which was on at the time and we really enjoyed it. To finish off we had a 50 minute treatment which was incredible, the girls were wonderful who did the treatments and made sure we were always happy & comfortable. The staff on the spa reception were also really helpful and happy to help us. Although the changing rooms were a little tired and in need on a facelift, it didn’t affect our visit whatsoever! We would definitely return!”

“Hosted a games night for our running club in the free function room upstairs. Such a beautiful room with original features. We only had chip butties but they were really good, we even got some salad & cakes thrown in and the napkins were super cute! Lisa was super helpful when trying to organise. “I’ve just had their beyond meat burger and it’s by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Not just vegan/vegetarian but any burger. It was so flavoursome and well presented. The chips were great too! Delivery was quick and I loved that the packaging didn’t include any plastic.”

“The rooms are good for one or two nights if you have a day/night out in Manchester and you're not planning on spending much time in there. Small and basic but had everything we needed. Comfy, clean bed. Bear in mind that bathrooms are separate but there's one on each floor (so you'll be sharing with others. This wasn't a problem as there's not many people on each floor) The pub was a lot nicer than expected. It's great that you can roll out of bed and straight downstairs for breakfast (Decent full English and discount for guests) or have a quick drink before heading out. I did hear that one of the rooms didn't have blinds or curtains which could make for a difficult night's sleep. Bring ear plugs just incase. One side is quiet but our side was slightly noisy but was to be expected as Psych fest was on (which we attended and was great) we still managed to sleep quite well. The location is great! Really central and has a few bars nearby. There's a really nice brunch place across the road where they do good bloody Mary's. I'd definitely stay here again, it was great for the price and location. Cheap and cheerful”

“I can wholeheartedly recommend Soothe Children's Clinic. Both our boys have had issues with hearing, speech, and behavioral problems. They were both treated at Soothe and we were so happy to see incredible changes in both our boy's - relief from physical pain, development in hearing and speech, and improvements in their emotional wellbeing. Initially, we weren't sure whether the boys would behave, during the treatments, but with expert help they were made to feel comfortable & relaxed. Overall we were very happy with all aspects of the treatment & service.”

“Stayed for a night for a conference in Manchester but didn't want the hustle and bustle.of Manchester city centre. We were greeted by a great guy named Ste in reception who was so welcoming and made us laugh. We ate in the bar and had a couple of drinks, nothing was too much for Ste, he even popped into the kitchen to find me some orange slices for my Blue Moon beer! Fantastic service. Would stay again. More hotels need a Ste too!”
