“Another wonderful stay at the beautiful Rushop Hall this Easter holidays. We'd previously stayed here twice before in the bedrooms above the dining area of which both rooms were relaxing, comfortable and beautifully decorated. This time we'd decided to try the Pepper Pot, and we were blown away with the high standard. Particularly the attention to detail of this little cottage and the sheer comfort it provided us for our two night stay. Jan & Neil are amazing hosts, and provide you with exceptional customer service. Which has the right balance of being very welcoming but allowing you, your personal space-Really love this about them. Nothing is never too much trouble, so please ask them! Breakfast is delicious and beautifully cooked. Loved the additional fresh fruit & yogurt etc. Location is perfect, remote and relaxing with stunning views. Perfect surroundings for a wonderful nights sleep and of course beautiful views to wake up to in the morning. Thank you for making our stay just as delightful as it was 7 years ago. “We tried A Star pizza this evening and it was great. You can tell they only use great quality ingredients, definitely the best pizza and the only place well be going from now on. Good price as well. The guys are so lovely too and made a fuss of my little boy. There's also the option to eat in if you want. Thank you!”

“I just happened upon this place as I was walking along the canal at Broadheath. A young couple were sitting on the tow path eating a pizza. “Is it good?” I asked. “Delicious” was the reply. Decided to give it a go. The owner was a delightful fella who is clearly passionate about the food he is serving. Other customers in the place were all there due to “word by mouth”. The menu has the usual stalwarts but also more authentic pizzas too. I had the Friarielli & Nduja. Delicious. The pizza dough was the freshest and lightest that I have EVER had. I felt that I’d had an authentic pizza made by someone who cares rather than a portion-controlled production line made by an employee of a massive company paying minimum wage. A wonderful discovery and I shall visit again. They have a bigger premises in Sale btw. Ciao.”

“Wow. What a fabulous meal that covered a group of people with an assortment of allergies. Never have been able to go to a restaurant and know that all their food was egg free and nut free. There was a great selection of gluten-free food too. The food was cooked to perfection, the taste, there aren’t sufficient words to describe how good it was. Would we go again? Absolutely. I have already recommended it to 2 people this morning and it’s only 10am.”

“We visited Asylum on the 30 December, and really glad we did. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. There was a warm welcome from the staff, who found us a nice table, and gave fantastic table service. The food was amazing, so fresh and reasonably priced. We had a selection off five or six dishes off the menu along with a bottle of prosecco, the big was £63 , which was such good value. I would recommend a visit either just for a nice drink or sample the amazing food!!”

“I’ll start my review by saying that I’ve eaten at all the so called ‘best Indian Restaurants’ locally and to be fair there are a few good ones but often victims of their own success. However, in my opinion, Spice Bistro is up there amongst the best and from the meals I’ve eaten, it is by far the best Indian Restaurant around the Tameside and Glossop area. The meat they serve is so very tender, full of flavour and simply melts in your mouth and this is complimented by the curry sauces which have so much flavour they make you drool. The portion sizes are exceptional because they are thick and not full of oil or watery sauce and if you order a takeaway the foil container is full to the top. I can’t compliment the quality of the food enough…….it is that good. As a side note, the staff are incredibly polite, helpful and chatty but most important they are humble and respectful and this creates a happy vibe around the restaurant. If you have not eaten here before, believe me it will become your no. 1 go to restaurant for a curry. The cost of a curry from here is similar to a kebab from a takeaway and my only regret is that I haven’t eaten from here more often. The restaurant is not the biggest in the world but that’s a bonus as it allows the staff to look after their customers and give them an enjoyable experience. I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough!”
