“Went to browse some shoes and ended up in the small samosa and sweet shop! All I can say is amazing, the lovely man explained what things were as I had no idea and let us sample some of the treats, will definitely be going back and gem of a find!”

Nonetheless, the seller was able to retrieve it back from the courier change the name have have it shipped out. Blanket is super soft and detailing is beautiful.”

“Popped in whilst killing time in town. With so many shoe stores closing, it was great to see an independent store in a High Street with such a nice display & range of shoes. Most notably though, there was a good range of quality brands (such as Reiner, Remonte Locke) and different styles of shoe that stood out. The range in store seems to cover something for most occasions rather than just giving a large generic range of shoes that are similar. The staff were great, checking in on us whilst looking after other customers. Prices are probably comparable to chain stores for branded items (and were well below RRP for the items we bought), but without the artificial pricing gymnastics that big stores love.”

“Lovely lady! I went in to get some shoes for my graduation next week (July 2023) and Bernadette was so friendly and helpful. We were instantly on the same page on shoe colour and style. She helped me find the perfect shoe which compliments my dress and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. She’s very lovely, kind, patient and knows what she’s talking about. I am so happy with the shoes and clutch I have purchased and have even been able to get them quickly before my graduation date which other shops weren’t able to do. If the colour isn’t what you want, there is an option to have them custom dyed (but this takes about a week more). She’s very accommodating and happy to help! Highly recommend this shop I’m definitely coming back when I need more dress shoes. :-)”

“I finished work early today. I needed, kind of urgently, to get myself a decent suit as our congregation starts meetings at the Kingdom Hall in person again! Fantastic news! (We have been meeting on Zoom for perhaps 18 months now.) Anyway, I tried M&S first. But I'm an unusual fitting. 28" waist, long leg. And 42" jacket, regular. Had to buy shoes. Shirt and tie too. (And socks!) They had no trousers to fit that corresponded with the jacket I required. The following shop was not far away. I forget its name. H&S? Nothing there! So onto River Island! That's NOT an older man's shop, for goodness sake! Everything is slim and appears that it would hug the body too much! Wonderful clothes colours and presentation. A 14yrs to mid 30's shop I'd guess? I'd almost given up! Resigned that I'd have to drive the 8mins home without success! Then!!!! NEXT came next! (Oh I'd been to Materland too. Check spelling?) I climbed the stairs laboriously following the "Men" sign and arrow! Kneeling down was this young man. I cottoned on he was staff. Exasperated I called for his help. In five minutes he had guided me efficiently and respectfully. His suggestions were contrary to the thoughts I had. Nevertheless, I took his advice on shoe colour, belt, shirt and tie. I have no regrets. Infact, his guidance turned out to be a lot better than what I'd have chosen. It's this type of customer focus that immediately made me decide to make the purchase. £250 well spent on what I believe to be quality and fashion. I got the right sizes, design and colouring at time of purchase. Helpful staff on both floors. It's great to see young people serving us oldies with such kindness and respect! “Set over 2 floors. This is a medium sized shop. Homeware upstairs, but the area is pretty small. Children's downstairs. Changing rooms available. Parcel return point. Men's Shoes and bags too. Till service was fast and efficient. Lift and stairs available. I cannot fault.”
