Children shoe store in Northampton

“Went into store 27/8/25 with our granddaughter who had broken her ankle 12 months earlier, since then she had not worn proper shoes due to her anxiety about her ankle. We had been to many shoe shops throughout Banbury and MK with no success in getting Isla in a pair of shoes. We went in Charles Clinkards and straight away were greeted with shop staff that so clearly wanted to help with the problem we had. Isla was seen by Madelaine no 6553, she talked and explained things to Isla who is only 9 years old. She came out with loads of different pairs of shoe/boots explaining how certain pairs would help support her ankle. Madelaine was so caring and supportive not worrying how much of her time we were taking up. Eventually she got Isla into a pair of boots, she was so excited she wore them straight away. You must be so pleased to have such a caring and helpful assistant working for you. Madelaine certainly gets 10 out of 10 from us, and we will make sure Clinkards is our first port of call next time Isla needs new shoes. “I have been to this shop twice to get my sons both trainers and school shoes. Service is really efficient and we were back out with shoes in hand within 45 minutes. Not a mean feat with my sons oddly shaped feet! All staff are very knowledgeable and I will be back within a couple of months for new trainers for me.”

Very patient staff member, who checked the fit of recommend children's shoes, and explained to me what she was checking for as she went along. “I rarely leave reviews but the customer service at Schu, Rushden Lakes is exceptional. From our point at entry (on a super busy Saturday), we were attended to almost immediately by a friendly staff member who measured all three of my children for school shoes. Another lovely staff member went on to supply us with no less than 5 different pairs for selection, and thoroughly checked the fit too. We left the store only to return about an hour later when a third member of staff processed the sale. Every single person was so incredibly friendly , welcoming and attentive. Customer service levels you’ll rarely find elsewhere… absolute breath of fresh air! Thank you!”
