Mexican restaurant in Northampton

“Already busy at 6pm (although it was a Saturday so kind of to be expected) so there was already a nice atmosphere upon entry. No fuss in being directed to our table with a warm friendly greeting. The menu isn’t too extensive which is always a positive for me. Have enough choice but not bewildering so. The standout starter was the ribs. Great taste and just enough for a good portion but not too filling. The wings were ok but there are better out there. Steak time. We went for a 300 gram sirloin and the trio of steaks (small portion of fillet, sirloin and ribeye). The sirloin was tasty and cooked as ordered (rare) and the trio of steaks was bigger than expected and also cooked to perfection (medium rare). The sweet potato fries were very good as were the steak chips. The side order of mushrooms were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. We passed on dessert as we were already full. Very reasonable prices and the great staff just added to this as a recommendation from me. FYI there is limited parking on the high street so unless we missed the large carpark somewhere close it should be taken into account.”

“We hired Yellow Bus Catering for our American themed corporate event. They were so helpful, great to deal with and provided an excellent service. They arrived on time, worked around our event timing and most importantly the burgers were delicious! Would highly recommend and look forward to having them back again... maybe to try the pizzas next time!”

“I have visited here with different people over the last couple of weeks. The first time, my friend and I ordered the Super grain salad. It doesn't say anywhere in the ingredients there's anything hot or spicy in it, but neither of us could eat it! We asked if they could check with the chef and he said there's a coating on the grains that isn't mentioned. They apologized and changed our meals for another one with no fuss.”

“Booked our annual Christmas group night out of 15 friends after a previous outing a couple of years ago which was excellent, and found this years outing was even better .We all ordered food from the Christmas menu the food was fantastic especially the Pork belly main course and Toffe Apple Choux dessert. The waiters were very attentive ,friendly and efficient. A great night out and very reasonable prices , will definitely return again .”

“I recently organised to come to Zapato Lounge with my work colleagues last Friday. The atmosphere, food, staff and the overall organisation for a Christmas booking was fantastic. There was someone who is Gluten Free and also a couple of people who are vegetarians and all requests were taken very seriously which was reassuring. Myself and the rest of my colleagues all commented how the food was lovely and we really enjoyed ourselves. I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely service & experience!”

“I really enjoyed my time here. Went for a family meal, and there was a wide choice of food for everyone. Quality of the food was great, and nobody had any issues. The venue was clean and welcoming, but maybe a little on the cold side with the change in temperature that day - but cant really blame them for that. Staff were all really nice and gave a great quality of service. The venue was great for us as a family to come, but it would equally be fine for just a couple to go to. My only point for improvement would be the beer selection wasnt exactly to my taste, but it might be to yours. Will definitely be making a trip there again, and hopefully when the canal museum is open too.”

“Went Sunday afternoon. Booked for 8 people at 3.30. Very welcoming.friendly staff. Menu was varied, food was very tasty and portions were ample. Never seen Yorkshire puddings so large. My husband and I had a Sunday roast to share and there was really enough for 3 people. Definately recommend.”

“Absolutely amazing pizzas last night. The order (two Hot and Spicy, thin crust, with added fresh garlic and black olives) arrived piping hot and within 30 minutes of ordering. Certainly the most delicious pizza I've eaten in a very long time. I'm be ordering again very soon!”

“We really loved the food, possibly the best mex in Beds. The food was freshly cooked in front of you. Just a shame that the place is very small - perhaps that's why the food was so good with generous portions. We came again for my 67th birthday. The service and food was fantastic. “Great pub with a fantastic atmosphere. We visited here when it was the rugby . Bar staff really busy but got served really quickly. Loads of space even with it being packed . They even put on extra tvs on outside to watch the rugby .”
