“I walked in today with my husband and 2yr old daughter intending to purchase a pair of sandals for myself. The sales assistant was friendly and chatty as she informed us of the latest deals and trends on offer. We ended up getting not only the sandals we came for but two pairs of shoes for my daughter too as the selection was so impressive. In fact I had to stop myself buying more! There was a good variety of affordable shoes as well as some slightly pricier brand names, as well as a selection of different bags. We will definitely be returning.”

“Went into store 27/8/25 with our granddaughter who had broken her ankle 12 months earlier, since then she had not worn proper shoes due to her anxiety about her ankle. We had been to many shoe shops throughout Banbury and MK with no success in getting Isla in a pair of shoes. We went in Charles Clinkards and straight away were greeted with shop staff that so clearly wanted to help with the problem we had. Isla was seen by Madelaine no 6553, she talked and explained things to Isla who is only 9 years old. She came out with loads of different pairs of shoe/boots explaining how certain pairs would help support her ankle. Madelaine was so caring and supportive not worrying how much of her time we were taking up. Eventually she got Isla into a pair of boots, she was so excited she wore them straight away. You must be so pleased to have such a caring and helpful assistant working for you. Madelaine certainly gets 10 out of 10 from us, and we will make sure Clinkards is our first port of call next time Isla needs new shoes. “I had a great experience here. Lots of boots in stock, steel toes, wellies, hiking boots, and bamboo socks. It is on an industrial estate with plenty of parking just outside. Alison was lovely and incredibly helpful, helping me to find the right size boots and was very patient whilst I tried them all on. I bought the Birkenstock steel toe boots - nice wide toe box and incredibly comfy. Highly recommended!”

“We went to Ann Marie’s to find an outfit for my mum for my brother’s wedding after recommendation by a friend. My mum had a one to one appointment and it was a really lovely experience. She felt very relaxed and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The range of outfits is fantastic, there is so much choice and everything is stylish and high quality. My mum found a beautiful dress with a hat, however, they didn’t have the matching hat in stock at the time. Ann Marie then contacted my mum a couple of weeks later to say the matching hat had come into stock; my mum was delighted and we went back to pick it up. The ladies were so friendly and efficient, and it was so nice that they contacted my mum afterwards to let her know about the matching hat. Wonderful personal service. 100% recommend this lovely shop!”

“I took me parents for Sunday lunch at the Malsters Arms. It was a really pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. They allowed dogs which was perfect as we had 4 little dogs with us. The food was excellent. It was cooked how we asked. The desert was incredible and good value for money. The service was fun and entertaining and everyone friendly. We had such a lovely time and plan to return again soon.”

And to top it off another worker there helped me carry the buggy down the stairs.
