“Chris and the guys at Barford van hire were so helpful, firstly when we hired a Movano in May 2025, which I returned early after 4 hours. Then 2 days later I hired a DAF 7.5T lorry for a day to help with a house move. All went well until I was returning it in the evening. I was about 2 miles away on the rural road leading to Barford when an over-hanging tree branch clipped the big nearside door mirror, which shattered and disappeared. I knew I’d have to pay for a replacement and was expecting a big bill, but was pleasantly surprised to receive an invoice for just £108. They will also give you 10% of the hire price if you have a Blue Light Card. I would definitely hire a vehicle from Barford Van & Car Hire again. Updated on 29/9/25 We booked to hire another 7.5T lorry but had to cancel just hours before picking it up today. Chris was so understanding and gave us a full refund, which was amazing. I doubt that many other companies would have acted this way. The guy below gave a ridiculous 1 star review because Barford have a 150 mile per day hire limit after which you pay just 12p per additional mile, therefore if he wanted to do 250 miles it would have cost just an extra £12 when he returned the vehicle. The hire from Enterprise would probably have cost at least £12 more. Clearly he didn’t do the maths.”

“I recently bought some new ski boots and couldn’t have wished for better service from the team. I’ve had some major foot problems for a few years now that have caused complete agony in ski boots after a few hours of wearing them, during both short trips and working a season. After trying on various boots of different sizes, styles and fitment we settled on the Salomon Supra BOA 120 Ski Boots and with a few tweaks and personal adjustments by the team they fit great. I’ve just had 2 weeks in the Alps with no problems skiing both on and off piste and on a mix of race skis and my powder skis. Having someone to advise on the right boot fitment and support with getting the fit just right has got me back out skiing properly again and I’m very grateful. The Salomon Supra BOA 120 Ski Boots are a great ski boot and I saw a lot of people wearing them on the slopes including those working locally so Salomon seem to have got something right with their adjustable shell and BOA system. I’ve been shopping with Snowfit for over 15-years now and travelled from Cornwall to Norwich specifically to get boots fitted, and the journey was worth it.”

“I did a try dive session at Christal Seas yesterday and it was a great learning experience. I was very nervous and had previously had a bad scuba diving experience elsewhere so was very anxious to try it again, but my instructor Steve was amazing and made sure I felt supported and reassured the whole time and even got a couple of laughs out of me!
