“Small Hong Kong Tea House located in Nottingham. Quite popular among HK immigrants but can find local customer too. Food quite authentic and price is affordable. They offer tea time menu which including Tea and coffee which is truly authentic Hk drink.”

“Ordered for the first time last week and quite honestly I don't normally do reviews but this place was outstanding. The pizza was cooked to perfection and piping hot upon delivery the flavor combinations were outstanding and I can't wait to try what else is on the menu over time.”

“I've bought Cartwheel Coffee intermittently online and it's always fantastic, but was great to come to the cafe. Breakfast was good, the coffee was obviously great, but do not miss out on the clarified coffee sours (cocktails), they are absolutely unbelievable.”

“Best Neapolitan pizza in Nottingham. I have tried this pizza place 4 times since the first day they opened and I can say that they are doing amazing! After they trip and travels to Italy, they have gain the experience of the proper Neapolitan cuisine and they have brought it directly to Nottingham. Excellent flavor and perfect pizza dough: soft, elastic and with a raised crust. With most of the ingredients directly imported from Italy, the quality is 10. But pizza is not the only think they have, we tried the chili chips the first time we went and we loved them! Now is one of our must when we go. They also have antipasti boards, garlic dough balls and amazing desserts! If you cannot decide with the pizzas my favorite one is the Nduja pizza! A spicy and spreadable pork salami from Calabria.”

“This was a great place with great food! The owner (chef) was a really nice guy, even customised the breakfast options for us, we all enjoyed it. He also made fresh "Karak" chai which was very tasty and creamy! Much better than the usual packet-powder stuff which is used widely these days. 5* from me!”

“We have been several times to this cafe, the staff are happy and interact with you, polite but funny, each time we've been we've felt welcome and nothing is too much trouble, the food is delicious , looking forward to taking our daughter there next week when she's home from abroad. “Dropped in with my Dad on Sunday for a cuppa but ended up having a breakfast each as well. The food was excellent all made from local tasty ingredients. The service was lovely and super friendly. “Delicious food, dong yam noodles is absolutely good. A good place to enjoy coffee and food. Hong Konger run the cafe with whole heartedly. After months of running, today I have lunch, they are still keeping high standards, excellent! Always has a hidden menu, surprise and delicious. There is a hidden menu that will be announced on their Facebook. Usually it is very special and delicious. Today, there is a short rib in Red Curry Style. I finished it all with a dish shining. In summer, you shouldn't miss out on the garden to relax and chill.”

“The café has an understated vibe with a dark toned interior, featuring various coffee machines and roasting equipment. The space isn’t big, but it’s cozy and comfortable, a great spot to enjoy a good cup of coffee. [Orange 3 Layers Cake] Refreshing orange flavor with distinct layers. The top jelly wasn’t overly gelatinous and had a nice hint of yuzu. The sponge cake was soft and fluffy! [Distill Milk Dirty] Hot espresso meets cold milk, a pleasant surprise. The espresso had a slight bitterness but was light and smooth, while the cold milk added depth. Great balance and texture. A memorable cup that shows their pour over coffee game is strong. [Matcha Latte] Visually appealing and beautifully presented. Made with high quality matcha, the taste was nicely balanced between bitterness and creaminess. [Matcha Basque Cheesecake] One of their signature desserts, rich matcha flavor without being too bitter. The cheesecake was creamy, smooth, and melted in the mouth. Not too heavy, even if you eat the whole slice by yourself. High quality and definitely recommended!”

“Fabulous little venue with tasty food and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to cafe roya, it was my sister’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel special. Really appreciate small venues like this that have staff who make you feel welcome and comfortable in their restaurant. All dishes were super fresh and tasty making me want to come back for more and work my way through the menu. Along with their brilliant staff and food they make stunning cocktails which again , you can’t stop at just the one! Can’t wait to visit again, very tempted by the sound of the lunch menus!”

“Ordered food through Uber eats. The food was fresh and tasty with great portion sizes and prices! They followed requested added and when I rang into issue with the delivery drivers and wait times on Uber eats (nothing to do with the cafe). I called up and the staff were helpful and polite. Will definitely order again!”

“Regularly in area. Not usually able to park . As its hive of activity. Grabbed a spot today and grabbed some top quality fodder. The sausage roll was a nice starter, but the gammon and cheese toastie smashed the taste buds through the roof of the van and straight back up the motorway smacking my lips. Proper brew with the bag in too. And all with the smashing service and wonderful smile of the lady who served me. Will definitely be back again.”

“Had a Dental appointment in the neighbourhood and wanted a place to relax and do some work online before heading to work. Ordered the omelette with mushrooms and peppers which was amazing! Nice, quiet space to work as well. Will definitely be back to try what’s on the menu.”

“"Wait, is THAT the building?" Yes, it is. Crazy, quirky location at the end of an old toll bridge with a giant selection of sandwiches made to order, plus crisps, snacks, water, tea, etc.. We stopped by on consecutive days while our daughter was competing at a local sports ground, and everything we got both days was first-rate (the roast pork is sublime.) Nice staff, too. Lots of cyclists in evidence so clearly a popular rest stop.”

Yesterday evening I attended my first bistro night there- I was so impressed with the atmosphere, the service and the food was delicious plus it's bring your own so a lovely night out with friends that didn't cost the earth- I'll definitely be back! “The first time we came they only supplied coffee and cake, but now they offer lunches. Yay. The first thing that strikes me, it’s a lovely atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff and customers. It’s great to see they welcome laptop working and have a fair guide available to see. Encouragement for extended laptop working is upstairs with a nominal fee. Parking is available in the Broxtowe’s car park is opposite or if you can keep you visit time down to 30mins there is free street parking round the corner (we managed 35 mins and didn’t get a ticket). It is on the tram route with a stop just 2 mins up the road. The tomato soup with sourdough was lovely. The facilities are spacious and clean.”
