“Stayed here a few times now and always found the rooms clean and warm with comfortable beds. As for the bar area, plenty of real ales with 3 on while we stayed. Food, was fab. Both breakfast and evening meal cooked to order. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Tip: If you fancy a pint in the evening getting back early, as sometimes they close if not busy.”

“Nice pint of beer. Lovely location and large beer garden. Recently revisited and stopped for a pint whilst out walking. Great stop off point if walking along the nearby Grantham Canal.”

“Beautiful Sunday lunch - home made and lots of it! Prawn cocktail, beef dinner, chicken dinner, veggie dinner and rhubarb and apple crumble was eaten - all of it so nice! Great service and lovely ambience with the fire on and Halloween decs up. Will recommend to everyone”

“Stayed one night, in Grantham for a funeral. Staff were excellent, had a meal in the evening which was very nice. Lovely spacious room with loads of storage, ironing board and iron, good hairdryer.big bath towels. I left something behind and Mel the receptionist rang me and it was soon sorted. If we are ever up in Grantham again no hesitation in staying at the the Angel and Royal.”

“Among the best falafel I've ever eaten (ordered the Palestinian platter). Crispy on the outside and great herbs/seasoning. The exact opposite of the dry and sandy falafel many places sell. Bread, pickles, tahini sauce and lentil soup also very good quality. 10/10”

“Great place to visit if you like spending time browsing, not once were we approached or bothered by the staff, even though it was fairly quiet when we visited. You will spend a fair bit of time in the upstairs antiques area, as there is something there for everyone, and prices from a few bob to whatever you fancy. They do have a lift to different floors, and there are a few eating areas.”

“We have a Premium Magic Mirror photo booth company and was asked by the host to entertain their guest at his wife's 50th birthday party on the 1st September 2018. The event was one of our best to date great staff, atmosphere and the guests loved our services. We have had a a couple of additional bookings from the venue which is the icing on the cake. “Great pub! Because the drinks are reasonable as is the food. Even better if you like to watch Nottingham Forest footy matches on the massive screen! Or other teams matches. I’m not a footy fan, but lots of people are so it’s a great location. There are other areas too, away from the match. Staff do a good job but like a lot of places these days there’s not much human engagement at all - especially if you order online. Very quick online service on a Sunday afternoon.”

The food is always SUCH high quality, Cavery, Pizza, Burgers and refillable icecream. All amazing something for EVERYONE. Staff really friendly lovey atmosphere. Constant DEALS on the App and in person so there’s always ways to save money. Always great value for money you never leave hungry especially with the Carvery. Highly recommend!”

“After a poor experience ordering shutters from Dunelm in the past we were a little wary about buying curtains and blinds from them recently, but I have to say that dealing with Katherine at the Nottingham store was an absolute pleasure. She was extremely friendly and helpful as well as being knowledgeable. She helped us choose appropriate blinds and curtains for our windows and arranged for a young man named Jordan to come and measure up. He was also very efficient, polite and helpful. We would be more than happy to use them again and have already recommended them to friends. A quick mention also for Jen and Jade in the coffee shop who were also lovely.”

“I think that this was an exceptional experience. The staff were kind and the cats were all friendly none of them bit anyone and it looked like my son wanted to stay there because there was a little cat who stayed on my son’s arm he was so happy! Everything was nice and the atmosphere was great there was an amazing build on the roof it was a massive obstacle course, there was a long strip of wood and it was very thin and the cats were walking across it. I was straight above it so I could see some cats put their legs on the side of the plank it was spectacular to see how they built everything. On average 25 cats in the building. They serve food and drinks too.”
