“I undertook the Professional Soft Furnishings Diploma. I had dabbled with sewing over the years but only ever cobbling things together. I had a yearning to make things properly and a curiosity of how things could be made precisely and perfectly. The course has fulfilled this yearning and my curiosity. It is so well organised and although I did the course completely online, it was very clear to follow and the support from my tutor, Sarah, was second to none. I cannot fault the course in any way. It has enabled me to begin working for myself along side my part time job. I recently undertook my first commission for a large pair of lined curtains with 100% success. I do have to stop, think and take my time more than someone with more experience but the course has equipped me with a valuable resource of notes and the samples we made are indispensable. If I am unsure about anything, I simply refer back to these. I also feel that I have developed my skills enough to enable me to tackle other soft furnishings that were not featured in the course such as lampshades and box seat cushions. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the modules and would not hesitate in recommending this course to anyone looking to improve their skills, learn something new or set themselves up for a new career. “Stayed one night, in Grantham for a funeral. Staff were excellent, had a meal in the evening which was very nice. Lovely spacious room with loads of storage, ironing board and iron, good hairdryer.big bath towels. I left something behind and Mel the receptionist rang me and it was soon sorted. If we are ever up in Grantham again no hesitation in staying at the the Angel and Royal.”

“Among the best falafel I've ever eaten (ordered the Palestinian platter). Crispy on the outside and great herbs/seasoning. The exact opposite of the dry and sandy falafel many places sell. Bread, pickles, tahini sauce and lentil soup also very good quality. 10/10”

“We have a Premium Magic Mirror photo booth company and was asked by the host to entertain their guest at his wife's 50th birthday party on the 1st September 2018. The event was one of our best to date great staff, atmosphere and the guests loved our services. We have had a a couple of additional bookings from the venue which is the icing on the cake. “Great place to visit if you like spending time browsing, not once were we approached or bothered by the staff, even though it was fairly quiet when we visited. You will spend a fair bit of time in the upstairs antiques area, as there is something there for everyone, and prices from a few bob to whatever you fancy. They do have a lift to different floors, and there are a few eating areas.”

“I've been eating here for 15 years. These people simply don't know how to make bad food. Everything is fresh and delicious and at their prices, it's so easy to over order! I'm particularly keen on their fat vegetable spring rolls, and their seaweed is the best you can have anywhere!”

“Great pub! Because the drinks are reasonable as is the food. Even better if you like to watch Nottingham Forest footy matches on the massive screen! Or other teams matches. I’m not a footy fan, but lots of people are so it’s a great location. There are other areas too, away from the match. Staff do a good job but like a lot of places these days there’s not much human engagement at all - especially if you order online. Very quick online service on a Sunday afternoon.”

“After a poor experience ordering shutters from Dunelm in the past we were a little wary about buying curtains and blinds from them recently, but I have to say that dealing with Katherine at the Nottingham store was an absolute pleasure. She was extremely friendly and helpful as well as being knowledgeable. She helped us choose appropriate blinds and curtains for our windows and arranged for a young man named Jordan to come and measure up. He was also very efficient, polite and helpful. We would be more than happy to use them again and have already recommended them to friends. A quick mention also for Jen and Jade in the coffee shop who were also lovely.”

The food is always SUCH high quality, Cavery, Pizza, Burgers and refillable icecream. All amazing something for EVERYONE. Staff really friendly lovey atmosphere. Constant DEALS on the App and in person so there’s always ways to save money. Always great value for money you never leave hungry especially with the Carvery. Highly recommend!”
