“"Wait, is THAT the building?" Yes, it is. Crazy, quirky location at the end of an old toll bridge with a giant selection of sandwiches made to order, plus crisps, snacks, water, tea, etc.. We stopped by on consecutive days while our daughter was competing at a local sports ground, and everything we got both days was first-rate (the roast pork is sublime.) Nice staff, too. Lots of cyclists in evidence so clearly a popular rest stop.”

“Had a lovely meal at The Butchers. We had a ‘Mega Roast’ and it was amazing! The meat was incredible and the unlimited trimmings ensured you had enough food (and some going spare). We will definitely be back. The service was great- Holly was warm, welcoming and attentive. All staff were fantastic. 5/5 would recommend.”

“Homemade Burger I had heard a lot about the deliciousness of this Hungrilla. I decided to take the opportunity while heading towards Sheffield. I couldn't have guessed that I would do this to myself. I shouldn't have eaten this much. But it was delicious. I am also sensitive about cleanliness. I was very happy. I wonder if it was the effect of the excess protein I ate?”

“Can’t rate this place enough, been twice now one was to order for a walk to the train station and second today for delivery and I’ve not been disappointed! Me and my partner have both enjoyed it each time. The customer service was amazing and today a delivery was half an hour early to what they said. The food was also amazing both times. “Had lunch here today and I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. The guy behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the menu to us. The food is generous and actually quite tasty. We sat on the picnic benches outside as there is not much seating in the place itself but someone very helpfully brought our food out when it was ready. The flatbread was fresh with a great filling ratio and a very reasonable cost! Would happily recommend to my friends and order again.”

“We love the Lion, the beer is impeccably kept and there are lots of real ales. The food is good and very popular. There are regular quizzes and live music at the weekends. The pub attracts a diverse customer base, a real social mix of ages and background and I think this adds to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It's also very much a dog pub, there are dog beds available and dog snacks too. I thoroughly recommend a visit to The Lion.”

“The food is so delicious, all made fresh and extremely good prices. it’s so hard to decide what to choose because they’re all so good, i end up getting food for the whole day. The staff are so friendly, the portions are big and good value and it’s probably the best classic non-fancy breakfast in Nottingham”

“Fantastic place. I regularly eat here or just popi n for a coffee. Fresh quiche made while you wait (about 15 minutes). Worth the wait. The cakes are delicious and large slices (but youcan have a ½ slice). I took my friend the other week and she really enjoyed it - so much so that she is going again. Never had bad service. Staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is home made and fresh. There is a free carpark opposite for about 10 cars and 2 disabled spaces k3 hour parking). There are also 22 other car parks in Kimberley - one for 3 hours and one is free for an hour and the £1 till 6.00pm. Would highly recommend.”
