“Popped in for an early dinner recently and had a really warm greeting. We didn’t have a booking but they managed to accommodate us and our 10 month old (high chair was available). Good menu selection and food was fresh and of great quality. Staff were very friendly and gave the right amount of attention. We’d definitely come back soon.”
“Since Jamie, Steve & Tracy have taken over this pub has gone from great to amazing! Their bingo nights are so much fun, their quiz nights are great (bar 1 team) and the food....the food is brilliant!! Such a lovely safe environment to be in. Good drinks selection too. If you're in Fareham and looking for a great pub, this is the place to be ❤️”
“The staff were really helpful, friendly and kind. Food is always amazing and a wide range of choices and selections to make. Would highly recommend! Many thanks again!”
“Had an amazing Sunday roast there yesterday. Well cooked and generous portion. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, loved it!”
“Love this pub! Friendly staff, always something every night, sports on tvs, mini beer festivals and a great friendly atmosphere. Food is good and always LOTS of it. Recently attended the curry night and the portion (curry, sundries and a drink) for under £13 is insane! A great place to go”
“We love the Crofton. It’s our local pub, but it does the best food in the village with the friendliest staff. Also offers a great range of different ales, lagers and ciders on rotation so you can try something new on every visit. Can’t recommend this place enough.”
“Clean, friendly staff, toilets available”
“Really enjoyable, will defo go back for music”
“Great pub, friendly staff and locals.”
“Visited today as a half term treat. Seated sttaight away which was nice. Laura was our waitress and she was lovely. Very accommodatating and made it so much easier dining as 1 adult and 2 children. Darrnlen was our chef. The food was lovely, didnt take too long to arrive. Salad bar was nice and fresh. All in all a lovely visit.”
“A good find for a Greene King pub in Stubbington. Friendly punters, good staff, fast service, plenty of seating, including a beer garden and additional outdoor seating out the front. A good range of Alcoholic beverages as well as non alcoholic beers. A Decently sized car park as well. This pub has a weekly calender of what's on with a mixture of food/drinks deals depending on the day of the week.”
“Popular local place for someone who enjoys a more relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of food and specials, along with some nice beers”
“Very nice modern style pub with friendly staff. When we arrived we were told that the chef was on her break and there would be a 20 minute delay, by a very apologetic bartender. Once food was served which was served very promptly all was most enjoyable and a pleasant relaxing atmosphere Thanks to your staff that was very helpful and apologetic ☺️”
“A complete surprise! Whilst waiting for our dog being discharged from the Vet, we enjoyed an excellent fish lunch for £10.50 including a pint of beer. The fish was very unusual, since it was cooked fresh, with a homemade beer batter. Unusually, the size of the portion was very large for a couple in their 70’s. So no supper needed. Again another pleasant surprise. The cask beer was very good! It was somewhat undeceivable quite which takes a point of atmosphere. But again unusual, the pub does not have a tv on every available wall space. Will return!”
“Wendy (the owner), was kind enough to allow us to celebrate my mother's life on 22nd July 2025 in the Lounge Bar. They went above and beyond to ensure the afternoon and evening ran smoothly without a hitch. We were well catered for and food was lovely. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Queens Head in Titchfield made it a memorable occasion and gave my mum a good sending off. Thank you to Wendy and her team for all their efforts and kindness at a delicate time.”
“Beautiful pub! Lovely garden with children’s play area. Easy to get to off of the ferry, with lovely staff and atmosphere. Dog friendly, free parking, resident cats. Not to mention the amazing food. Exactly what we were looking for!”
“Always a pleasure. The host John is fantastic and attentive, always asks how you are and makes the meal feel special. Set menus are a great value for money with plenty of food, and there’s a brilliant range of dishes besides them too. Really reasonable prices and a beautiful restaurant.”
“We have on occasion popped to the Fisherman’s rest for a drink: This evening we happened to come home to a power cut so called ahead to see if there were tables available. When we arrived, we were seated straight away. When we ordered we were informed there was no bacon. We asked if we could have pulled pork with the burger as a swap which was accommodated and my husband said it was delicious. I had the sirloin steak which was beautifully cooked. Some of the best onion rings I have had in a long time. Other members of our party had scampi which looked golden. Those who had dessert were pleased that they opted for the mini dessert and a drink option as this was just enough. Lovely, friendly service. We will definitely pop by again - even for a drink.”
“Whether you're a tourist or on a business trip, this is a superb place to stop for a night or a longer stay. It has a very pleasant local feel in every respect : the rooms, the meals, the breakfast, the pub... The premises are clean and the hosts are so friendly. Excellent ! Fareham and the surrounding area are superb.”
“Our Monday club group had a lovely fish and chips to die for today !!! The service was 1st class and the food was exceptional. The many times we have been to the Seagull we have never been disappointed. Booking was easy on line followed up by a visit to confirm details and timing. Staff very helpful.”
“Second time here and soon to be back for a third! Lovely pub with so much to offer with seating and space. Kids are very much welcome here with a great garden space and playground. The food here is beautiful. The beef Sunday roast was a highlight with scampi and chips proving a winner, too.”
“We chose The Roundabout Hotel as the venue for my father's wake. The restaurant area is intimate and relaxed making the perfect setting for our family and friends to gather and share our memories. The staff could not have been more helpful, with such compassion for our circumstances. The buffet was delicious, plentiful and fantastic value for money. Thank you”
“The food was really good, and my order arrived quickly. It's a nice spot to grab a bite and just relax. Definitely a solid place to eat and chill out.”
“Went for a Christmas family meal today (18 of us) Very well managed, not to busy, food was banging and staff where fabulous as they always are! Mega shout out to the two lady's today dealing with our service (blonde and dark hair) You two were absolute stars and very welcoming, never ever had a bad time at the sailmaker. Many thanks to all who served and cooked for us today! ❤️”
“Great dinner out. 4 of us on a work christmas get together and the service was brilliant. Can't fault anything. The manager was lovely and helpful too. I believe our server was called Caroline and she did a great job. Thank you”
“Very clean and spacious environment and obviously popular, food is served and looked good but we were only here for a few drinks before moving on. They had a good selection of beers and those we tried we're all very good would happily come back again.”
“The music was great - crazy frog, cha cha slide, what more atmosphere could you want. Big up Chantelle and her colleague with the rescue dogs. Thanks for a great end to our night! xox”
“Used to go in here back in the day, when we used to go n stay with my uncle jimmy(holden). Am from Liverpool n got some lovely memories stayin in fareham. ❤️”
“The Bugle Hotel is a great place to stop if exploring the area by motorbike. A secluded yet monitored carpark is available. The building is old, and the room shape and size reflects this, but the ensuite and facilities are good, and everything is provided, we even had a fan available for use. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The team are really friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay.”
