“We had a function in the pub and it was a great experience. We had a dedicated function room separated from the main pub. The atmosphere both in the pub and in the function room are really lovely and the fireplaces give just the perfect place for a cosy dinner. Food was truly amazing. Great portions and quality food from the appetisers throughout the meal. Tagliatelle were cooked to perfection and the sea bass with the lemon sauce was mouthwatering. All through the meal, the sauces were just amazing. All the staff was really friendly and we had a great night out.”

When the hotel staff and manager found out about our dietary restrictions they went above and beyond to accommodate for us. “For the very cheap price I can't believe what other people who have reviewed were expecting. You get what you pay for! I can't fault my stay other than a confusing check-in and check-out system. There's a communal kitchen with TONS of free food, milk, juice and stuff, and the WiFi is included in the price and is of sufficient speed. For these reasons the price is even better! I do agree that the walls are paper thin, but overall for the price I think this place was very good!”

“Phoned for a reservation and advised food served from 6 pm. Got a very warm welcome from staff. Shown to table. As well as menu's given, there is a great selection of specials on a blackboard that is brought to table. We had main courses, desserts and coffee afterwards. The food was excellent and ate it all. When I asked if we could have cream with our coffee instead of milk - no problem. We had a nice relaxed evening in a lovely homely pub and our stomachs were full. Well recommend a visit to all. 8th February 2020 - under new management Got a very warm welcome and noticed new decor. Food was FANTASTIC and took photos. Look forward to next visit.”

“We chose the angel to hold the wake yesterday, for the loss of our mother. We honestly couldn't have asked for more and are so happy we went here. Andy is an absolutely lovely, welcoming guy who was so intent to do whatever we wanted and made us feel so 'looked after'.
