“We had a leaflet through so decided to try Oriental Spice for our Friday night takeaway (collection), it didn't disappoint! We had a selection of Chinese and Thai dishes and they were all delicious, really good portions too. The chow mein was spot on as well as the penang curry. They did forget one of our dishes but we called them and they kindly delivered it to us. Would order again for sure.”

“I called them to order a PiriPiri Chicken Burger and Chips, collected 10 minutes later. The young lady was friendly and smiling and the shop felt clean and inviting. When I parked around the corner to enjoy my "on the road" dinner, I was absolutely delighted! Everything was packaged really well and the food was fresh, hot and well presented. The PiriPiri Chicken was a generous and juicy breast covered in the perfect "medium" sauce I'd asked for. The chips were amazing too, perfectly cooked, I just regret not asking for any salt! All in all what a lovely meal, highly recommended. I will be back!”

“I only ordered the onion bhajis for dinner, but wow — they were absolutely to die for. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavourful on the inside, and bursting with that fresh, spiced onion goodness. The portion was generous, the seasoning was spot-on, and every bite tasted freshly made. And the mint yogurt sauce? Incredible. Cool, creamy, refreshing, and the perfect match for the warm bhajis. Together, they made the simplest meal feel like something special. Honestly, one of the best onion bhaji experiences I’ve ever had. I’d go back just for those!”

“Very nice restaurant with tasty Chinese food! Owners are very welcoming and I loved their service. Do visit and give a try. Slightly more expensive than others around. Card only accepted above £10 and charge for below. Covid prevention measures are good too even though the place is not busy.”

“I recently ordered a Rosmarino’s Special from their takeaway, and it was absolutely amazing! The pizza arrived perfectly crispy, with a base that had just the right crunch without being too hard. The toppings tasted really fresh — you could tell they use good-quality ingredients. Every bite was full of flavour, and it was clear that care had gone into making it. I’ll definitely be ordering again — highly recommend if you’re looking for a fresh, delicious pizza!”

“Hands down this place does the best chilli beef in the world. It’s unreal! When ordering chilli beef at other restaurants or takeaways.. it pisses me off because everywhere sucks compared to Szechwan express. I have come to the conclusion it’s pretty much pointless due to the fact that Szechwan express have set the standard way to high. The other food is also very good but to be fair I just mix everything with chilli beef and I always ask for extra chilli beef sauce. Also the chicken satay, bbq ribs, smoked chicken, salt and pepper chicken and the chicken balls are 10 out of 10! But trust me.. Definitely try the chilli beef”

“This is by far the best Indian food I have had in the area. The food was oozing with flavour and the spice was just perfect. The owner was also very polite and courteous. I would highly recommend the mixed grill, fish dishes and the biryani. All for excellent value too”

“Just got takeaway from there to take to my friend in hospital, Food still hot on arrival 20 miles awayvquality and taste of food excellent the friend I was visiting has been in the restaurant trade most of his life and he said it was the best Indian he’d ever had and would give 10 stars if possible. I don’t understand how this place can get any bad reviews the service is excellent the guys are polite and friendly and the food is home cooked and traditional what more do you want?? I can only assume those that give bad reviews are probably never happy with anything and always complain with the hope of getting a discount or ruining the guys reputation”

“Good affordable pizza in the area. Ordered cause close from our hotel. They do discounts for collection, and i think free delivery for a certain minimum order. Pizza was absolutely gorgeous, sides were good too. The guys at the shop were nice and friendly.”

“I just arrived to Newbury and I have no idea about any place here. I gave them a call and they said your pizza will be delivered within 40 minutes and they respected their words, not even a second late. Also when I start eating this vegetarian pizza, it was one of the most delicious one I ever taste in England so far. Literally I'll suggest it to friends when they decide to visit Newbury.”

“The place was really busy as it was peak hour, but the service was fantastic despite the rush. The two people at the front counter (a woman and a young man) were absolutely lovely. They managed the crowd efficiently, taking one order at a time even with a long queue to both order and collect. The food was delicious! We made a big order and tried a variety of items. The chips were amazing, big portions and perfectly cooked. The cod was tasty and fresh, while the beef and onion pie was absolutely lovely. Overall, great food and excellent service, even during a hectic time!”

“Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, very good beautiful Char Sui pork(let down very slightly as the pineapple in the sauce didn't taste quite right) Noodles were well seasoned and had a lovely balanced taste, bean sprouts and a nice seasoning of spring onion. Stir fried vegetables, again not overpowered with seasoning. The portions are generous and I came away satisfied. Service was like clockwork, attentive and lighting fast. I've given 5 stars with the caveat that I'd have given maybe 4.8 if I could as the experience was almost perfect let down only by the pineapple.”

The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed — perfect for both a casual lunchtime and a special occasion. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented and full of authentic flavors. Every dish tasted fresh and perfectly spiced, especially the winter warmers ,chicken tikka biryani. The naan was soft and fluffy, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the cooking and the service here. Easily one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. I’ll definitely be returning soon and recommending it to friends and family!”

The standard of food is overall better when dining in as you get the food straight out of the pan onto your plate. The takeaways have been above average compared to other Indians in the area. It is the best place for an Indian for miles. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Wouldn't go elsewhere.”
