“Fantastic food and very good prices. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Great find.”
“An amazing place. The customers were all very friendly and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The coffee is first rate, my toasted tea cake was excellent and they had some lovely gluten free fruit loaf. The decor alone is worth a visit and the prices are cheap compared to the well know chain coffee shops.”
“Fantastic food at unbelievably reasonable prices. Been a few times and always had a delicious meal.”
“Absolutely fantastic little cafe. Food is all fresh and at cracking prices the portions are spot on. Beautiful Sunday dinners with a choice of different meats and they deliver. Best home made cheesecakes around. The staff are friendly and polite with fantastic banter. I’ll be going nowhere else”
“Had some great lunches and beverages at Tigs. Always excited to see what specials are available and have never been disappointed.”
“This is by far the best independent deli in Sheffield. The stock is wonderfully and thoughtfully thought out. I had a ciabatta sandwich and just asked the gentleman behind their kiosk to put in what he thought would work and boy did it! Also the espresso was perfect. It’s obviously run by someone who is passionate about Italy and it shows in the products and the passion which they are enthusiastically served. Sheffield is lucky to have La Coppola.”
“Thank you so much Tiny Town for hosting our little boys 4th birthday party today. Theo had the ‘best party ever’ celebrating at his favourite place and the ladies working today was so helpful! (Sorry, I can’t remember your names). I can’t recommend Tiny Town enough for a little play visit or for your little ones birthday party. We visit quite regular and it’s obvious why… such a lovely place! Thank you xx”
“A hidden treasure in Sheffield with the absolute best coffee in town! The beans were freshly roasted on premise by Frazer and you could smell and taste his profound coffee passion in the brew. BTW he has won multiple awards too. Frazer was very generous in sharing his coffee insights, travel and stories with us. He even took us for a tour of his workshop as he was taking a break - what a generous kind hearted man! We saw his home made roaster machine, a contraption designed and made out of passion.. just what an artisan craftsman does best. I took home a bag of his freshly roasted decaf beans straight out of the workshop. Thank you Frazer!”
“With a tap selection that is on rotation its a nice surprise to find a new taste each week. The platter boards and honey sausages are lovely. They have regular evening events with karaoke, Greek and Curry nights, live music etc. The Laura and Paul are very knowledgable about any beer related questions you have and are constantly on the search for the next barrel to bring in. Also dog friendly - but they are only allowed the biscuits due to licensing laws.”
“10/10 highly recommend! THE best toastie I’ve ever had (The Hostie) was absolutely incredible and the fresh apple juice is also really nice! Not badly priced either”
“I live about a mile from Roots, and drive and walk by regularly. But I never noticed it. Now, I call in quite regular for a cappuccino which is to die for. It is so creamy and tasty. It beats C@%&A and the like any day. I have never tried the food, but what I have seen looks very tasty. The staff are very polite and friendly. The premises is quite large, and there is a decent size room for private functions. The single use toilet is always very clean. There is parking to the front. All in all a great place for a meet up with friends for a catch up and a coffee and a snack. Opening times. Sunday closed. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Saturday 9am to 2pm Closed Bank Holidays. Except school holidays. 9am to 2pm.”
“Massive sandwich, well cooked sausage & egg. Great value. Friendly, chatty staff. Will definitely call in again when working in the area.”
“This cafe had a place in my heart and never fails to provide excellent service and even better food. They also make great coffee for coffee lover like me!”
“These guys do the best coffee in Crookes (Whaletown is also great). Warm & welcoming vibes.”
“What a lovely find. Been to Penistone today for the first time in years and happened upon this café. Really enjoyed the sandwich & coffee there and brownie I had as takeaway. The staff were very welcoming and helped my elderly father to find the toilet outside somewhere around the back.”
“Friendly little cafe, only had a cuppa so can't say much about the food. Other customers looked to be enjoying their breakfasts with gusto.”
“Absolutely amazing food and great delivery from Clare she’s such a fun character”
“After leaving my wallet at home this morning I managed to scrape some change together for a bottle of water out of the car. Nipped into this lovely coffee shop. Mentioned this to this friendly guy while we was talking and he offered me some food and said pay me back tomorrow. I kindly refused as I did bring some lunch with me . Just wanted to say, What a lovely guy. Nice to see there is still some good people left on this planet. God bless.”
“A wonderful local cafe with vegan and veggie options. Even have gluten free available. You can even do takeout whixh it a godsend if like me you never get free time! Even has a little handmade shop section where you can buy some locally made gifts and a book shop/swap system! Very cool!”
“First visit. Was very imprest, service quick and cutlery was very clean (unlike some places). Good food served nicely. Will certainly call again”
“Small cosy little place, great in winter. They do a fantastic breakfast and the tea/coffee is also superb. The atmosphere is obviously very good with it being such a small place and despite them always being busy, the service is very quick! Would highly recommend Taste if you're at a loose end in Retford.”
“We called in today to support this new venture and although one of the owners is my sister I like to think my review is honest and unbiased, Debra and June have got everything spot on the décor is brilliant and the Coffee and cream scones we had were worth the drive up from Leicester. Well done both of you, with the hard work and thought that you've obviously put into providing a nice experience for customers you deserve to be a success.”
“Pleasant, independent Italian coffee shop and restaurant. You can order pizza or pasta (homemade with local ingredients) alongside a coffee for less than the cost of a shipped-in panini at other places. Also do a variety of salads and sandwiches.”
“How did I not know this play was here sooner. Straight out the gym to undo my hard work with a large best. The best best I've bested in a while”
“It was our first time in the area and had been recommended to go to S17. A lovely, modern cafe with good food and quick service. I would recommend the pancakes!”
“The food is delicious. It is a little more expensive than other places in close proximity but it is worth it. The portion sizes are the size of a good hearty meal. The white pukka pasta is devine and the ladies who work in the shop are really welcoming and friendly. We call and order ahead and the food is ready and waiting for you, all piping hot. I wish they did gluten free options too.”
“Lovely food and great coffee. Always reasonably priced with great staff”
“Breakfasts are fantastic and you can't go wrong with the jacket potatoes or any other sandwiches. Had buffets for various local events and always lovely, plenty to go around and good value”
“Warm and friendly great prices.”
“We had a fabulous cream tea here today. A delicious selection of sandwiches with a salad garnish followed by delicious home made cakes and a cream scone. Served on pretty china crockery by friendly owners.”
