“We chose Heathy Lea as our wedding venue this year and we are so pleased we did so. The location is brilliant and views amazing. Since we first looked around, the team have been so so hospitable and helpful through the whole planning process and helped contribute to a fantastic celebration for the family. We used the accommodation which was perfect and all the guests had a brilliant long weekend exploring the greenery and fresh air. We’d highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area for a break or hosting an event.”
“A very cute little plant based coffee shop. Didn't try a cake but they look amazing. Very friendly staff, and most importantly dog friendly! Will definitely be popping back.”
“Had some great lunches and beverages at Tigs. Always excited to see what specials are available and have never been disappointed.”
“i’m soo picky on my coffee and this place’s was 10/10 ! perfect coffee and the interior is really pleasant to sit in + the staff is kind, i’ll be back :)”
“I live about a mile from Roots, and drive and walk by regularly. But I never noticed it. Now, I call in quite regular for a cappuccino which is to die for. It is so creamy and tasty. It beats C@%&A and the like any day. I have never tried the food, but what I have seen looks very tasty. The staff are very polite and friendly. The premises is quite large, and there is a decent size room for private functions. The single use toilet is always very clean. There is parking to the front. All in all a great place for a meet up with friends for a catch up and a coffee and a snack. Opening times. Sunday closed. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Saturday 9am to 2pm Closed Bank Holidays. Except school holidays. 9am to 2pm.”
“Came in just for a quick breakfast, didn't think I'd get much but it was one of the best English breakfasts I've had. Sunny outside, cool inside, this must be what it's like to retire.”
“What a lovely place, food freshly made to order, fantastic dogs are welcome. The staff are friendly, had my 91yr old dad with me, staff very tolerant and empathetic. Love the booking as really busy.”
“I had a fantastic experience at Sheffield Coffee Room. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a quick break or getting some work done. But what truly stood out was the customer service — Pratyusha was incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive. She took our order with a warm smile and made sure everything was just right. The service was impressively quick without compromising on quality. Thanks to her, the whole visit felt smooth enjoyable.”
“Amazing food have my dinner here most days. brilliant staff always Made to feel welcome”
“I had a great time at Raffina on Saturday. The range of vegan options was brilliant, I'd definitely recommend the vegan pinsa panini and oat milk latte. The interior is beautiful and there was a great overall atmosphere.”
“Wonderful tasty brunch for vegetarian and non vegetarian and vegan. Excellent big portion, make sure you havent eaten earlier and cooked to perfection. Coffee and tea really good and lots of choices Service was brilliant, really polite, helpful and accommodating. Very impressive. Nice atmosphere. Also bought a lovely takeaway banoffee flapjack. Will definetly go back here.”
“What delightful place! Had a decadent hot chocolate made with actual chocolate flakes in hot milk, mini marshmallows and cream. The baked potato was divine, as was my fiancées chicken and brie panini !”
“Cafe Central is such a delightful spot! I had the Omelette, and it was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The cafe has such a warm, cozy vibe – ideal for relaxing and catching up with friends. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into both the food and the ambiance, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!”
“Went to look for a new sofa at Eyers and called in at Poppys for a coffee on the way out. Caught a glimpse of someone else's breakfast and just had to have the same. Have to say it was maybe possibly the best full English I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and fabulous quality. Service was very good and I would definitely recommend to all you full English fans.”
“Amazing ham and cheese croissant. Buttery, flakey, soft, savoury, all in one bite. 10/10”
“Cozy vibes, amazing plant based sausage roll (100000% recommend), amazing latte art, amazing coffee and matcha. Would come back again. Love that they’re doing the magic stamp thing too!”
“Lovely food and great coffee. Always reasonably priced with great staff”
“Nice coffee and great cakes (some gluten free!) The lunches look tasty too - I’ll be back…”
“It was our first time in the area and had been recommended to go to S17. A lovely, modern cafe with good food and quick service. I would recommend the pancakes!”
“Always a brilliant coffee when visiting Fables, they always have a good choice of cakes to choose from. You get a good sized portion too!!! Service was great, Lorraine always goes that extra mile with great service every time we visit. Great atmosphere always a pleasure to visit! :)”
“Recently stayed for two nights, whilst trading at an event at the Lincoln showground. A small, but very comfortable and clean room, with everything needed, including good wifi. Very friendly hosts, who did earlier than normal breakfasts for us, as we needed an early start. Breakfast was lovely, good choice, plentiful and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended.”
“Lovely place. Good food, served quickly. Quick friendly service from the staff. recently had a refurb with new tables, chairs and cutlery which are all nice. a good idea to book as its often full but there is outside seating and takeaway options”
“A lovely new café with hot and cold sandwiches, breakfasts, omelettes, burgers, jacket potatoes and a range of desserts. I had a ham and feta cheese omelette with a side salad and black coffee. It was delicious and I'll definitely be back for more!”
“i love this place. it’s less busy than other cafes like hygge or marmadukes (love their coffee, but the atmosphere isn’t particular favourable when I’ve a migraine and I’m trying to be productive in peace). their coffee is so silky and smooth aaaa, and their staff’s lovely. I particularly love the courtyard, and don’t think any other place has anything similar in town, maybe except steam yard but I’m not a fan of how busy that street gets. This reminds me of small European town, idk man really love mows it’s a bit selfish but im always gatekeeping cus its so special to me. Heard recent talk about them changing locations but I hope they still keep this one”
“Lovely friendly staff and tasty iced coffee and cake!”
“Lovely little café that serves a good selection of food, dog friendly area too. Looks like it'll be cosy in winter with the log burners on too.”
“Such great coffee - not the usual super dark-roast, burnt-tasting coffee and scalding milk you get at train station cafes. Silky smooth steamed milk and gorgeous espresso with such lovely staff! I’ve not tried the food, but it looks like there’s a load of really fun options including savoury croissants! The only con for me is the up-charge for plant-based milk; I don’t mind paying 20p extra for oat milk, as I know it’s more expensive for coffee shops to buy, but 50p is quite steep, especially on a small drink like a flat white. Otherwise, really great, and it’s been so lovely to see more good coffee coming to Chesterfield the past few years, something that’s previously been incredibly lacking!”
“Found this hidden gem on a recent trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.. so good we visited twice! We stopped in for lunch and were spoilt for choice between the fabulous fresh sandwiches and the delicious homemade salads. Kids also delighted to find pizza as an option for their lunch box! The cafe is spotlessly clean and the AC was very welcome on a hot day. Staff were warm and welcoming, definitely service with a smile. The excellent customer service didn’t stop there. I arrived home to Scotland and realised my glasses had fallen out my bag while in the cafe! After exchanging a few messages on social media, my glasses were posted home to me! Now that really is going the extra mile. Highly recommend popping in for a visit, once of the best independent coffee shops/cafes we have visited in a long time.”
“Arrived too early to attend local church fete so called in for cup of tea. Had a great brew served by a friendly assistant. Yorkshire tea in a Yorkshire mug served by a Yorkshire lady. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will come to this cafe again.”
“A great find, only a small menu, but don't let this put you off. The food is excellent. Freshly cooked and really tasty. Good coffee, too. I had a cappuccino and don't normally have chocolate on top, but this chocolate actually tasted like real chocolate. The staff are friendly and there is a really nice atmosphere too. Will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.”
