“Came with my family of five and everything from the appetizers to the main dishes was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home! Thank you so much ☺️”
“Fantastic food really tasty and the portion sizes are always fantastic value for money. Atmosphere is great and the staff are super friendly. This place is definitely worth the trip out!”
“We had a visit to The Boston Arms as we have family in Woodseats. What a brilliant little place! Great beer selection (craft is where it's at!), cosy atmosphere (brilliant for us who are NeuroSpicy) and dog friendly! Absolutely loved it and will be back in again when we can throw the kids at the family for a few hours!”
“Just brilliant! Wonderful Spanish food, great atmosphere and friendly staff! Dan is so knowledgeable about the food and wine and it makes for a great dining experience. Can’t wait to go back to try more, but make sure you have the prawns and also the croquettes which are so tasty! Don’t hesitate booking, you’ll be pleased you’ve been!”
“With a tap selection that is on rotation its a nice surprise to find a new taste each week. The platter boards and honey sausages are lovely. They have regular evening events with karaoke, Greek and Curry nights, live music etc. The Laura and Paul are very knowledgable about any beer related questions you have and are constantly on the search for the next barrel to bring in. Also dog friendly - but they are only allowed the biscuits due to licensing laws.”
“Aww wow! Go here! We go to bawtry most Sundays, So we decided to explore the surrounding villages, this place was amazing. We rocked up after serving time, and the chef ( lovely lovely guy) came out and showed us the menus, and was more than happy to cook for us. The food was outstanding! The atmosphere was so nice and all the staff were helpful, funny and lovely! We’re going again next week. X”
“Excellent, excellent food. Brilliant and friendly service. Make sure that you are hungry when you go.”
“Excellent location, very knowledgeable owner, excellent range of wines to try.”
“Called in mid morning for coffee, good selection for gluten free, scones were excellent”
“Cosy little bar with a great selection of ales and lagers to buy to take away - great place”
“What a wonderful stay! Di and Dave made us feel so welcome :) It was more like visiting long time not seen family rather than typical B&B hosts. We stayed with our 2 children in the studio which was very clean, and comfortable. Great location for sightseeing and exploring Peak District, while beautiful view from their garden makes your morning coffee extra special! We would love to came back and can't recommend this place enough!”
“We visited hymn to ninkasi for the first time on Saturday evening. The greeting by the lady attending to the bar was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was good and the place is small it’s very well set out and immaculately clean. The drinks selection is good, my partner had a nice rum from behind the bar and I chose a can from the good selection of craft beers in the glass fridges. I would recommend visiting this place.”
“Great micropub with a wide range of cask and keg for its size. CAMRA pub of the month November 2024, congratulations!”
“A lovely little shop. They have three pumps of well kept beer (perhaps some keg too, I didn't notice) all of which are great. Then a good selection of cans and bottles which you can drink in or take away. Very nice strongly recommended.”
“What a fabulous little place !! We only stopped for a quick drink, late afternoon, so can't comment on evenings here, but we loved the place. Great selection of real ales, which apparently changes on a regular basis. Just sandwiches/light bites for food. Great decor. Friendly bar chap. Tucked away just at the back of the market square, so plenty of town carparks nearby. Will most definitely visit again.”
“Love this little beer shop. Has a great selection of beers you can’t buy in the supermarket.”
“Best pub in parkgare the owners are absolutely brilliant do anything for ya my new local now brilliant prices as well”
“Great pub with reasonable beer prices. Andy & Mandy were brilliant hosts, making us more than welcome. Sunday dinners are a must, best I've had in a long time and will definitely be returning soon to have another one.”
“A place that exceeds expectations. Quality chefs, caring staff, delicious menus. It is very enjoyable to spend time here”
“Great little micro pub, good selection of beers, nice warm welcome from the landlord. Pleasant atmosphere, prices to sort every pocket. Thoroughly recommend.”
“A great option for a drink and the pizza is great; bonus is the kids love it as a treat, especially the cheesy fries!”
“We stopped for dinner at The Bull last night with my elderly and terminally ill greyhound Howard. I told the waitress about Howard and asked if they could bring us a plain sausage for him, fully expecting to pay for this. He loved the sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the pub quiz in a very relaxed and welcoming environment. At the end of the night I paid the bill and realised they had not charged me for the sausage. This was a lovely caring touch to end what would be Howard’s last night with us. I would personally like to say thank you to the personnel at The Bull for everything. We will definitely be back.”
“I found this place by chance as I was visiting an art exhibition there, so stopped for a pint and to sit by the canal which was rather pleasant! Friendly people, seemed to have a good following with some local regulars present. A good spot for a summer evening drink and not to far from town. Easy to park the other side of the canal. Will visit here again and would like to explore the area a bit more!”
“We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing - I especially recommend the chicken steak as it was incredibly well marinated. The staff were very friendly and gave us great recommendations. Sepi was lovely and offered excellent customer service.”
“A fantastic venue! It was my first visit and I am very impressed. I emailed in advance to request a seat because of my silly legs and that was very easily and kindly organised. The venue is clean, spacious and cool with brilliant sound and lights. There is a disabled toilet, too. Highly recommended.”
“OMG, I'm still star struck! I can't believe this happened! The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with such unique decor. Gorgeous attention to detail The food is fantastic too, definitely more of a "dirty vegan" experience than a healthy one, which I love. Who doesn't adore a juicy burger? So good! I absolutely loved the satay "chicken" loaded fries, so highly recommend those. The cocktails are also stunning and so well made. I loved the espresso martini. It's made with Guinness, but don't let that put you off! There are lovely views over the river from the restaurant, and it was great to see all the wildflowers. Sadly, there was no sign of the visiting otters. As if that wasn't enough, I was so delighted and shocked to see the owner, Oli Sykes, in there with his family! As much as it killed me, *seriously* killed me, I didn't want to bother him for a selfie as he was enjoying personal time with his family. It just goes to show how good the food must be if he eats there himself! I went on a Sunday and noticed the menu is a bit more limited, which sadly loses them a star for food, but there were still lots of burger and loaded fries options for anyone not wanting the more traditional vegan Sunday roast. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, which just makes the whole experience even better! I also loved how dog friendly it is. I just loved seeing so many gorgeous pooches being made to feel at home here! Absolutely recommend it!”
“Wonderful homemade pies. Pint and pie with mash and peas £13 what a bargain ,big portions lovely. Stout better then Guinness own brewery Bradford”
“I really liked it here . Came too celebrate my birthday and I was given a free birthday cake. The food here was really good and tender. It looked so nice with all the Christmas decorations up and the person serving us was nice too so I've had a great time. Would definitely recommend”
“EXQUISITE!! My family and I had breakfast with Santa on Saturday and what a lovely time we had. After having Santa breakfasts previously at larger establishments, Borders offered a much cozier and comfortable experience. Santa was amazing, popping in and out throughout our time there. The children loved him and it felt very personal. The staff were wonderful and very organised and to top it off the breakfast was great! Thank you so much for an excellent experience....we will be returning!”
