“Had a couple of very good Sunday meals here. Nice pub with a separate dining room. Excellent food and you do get a lot. Also veggie friendly - if you mention that when you book the chef will do a special meal, which my wife said was very tasty.”

The atmosphere is obviously very good with it being such a small place and despite them always being busy, the service is very quick! Would recommend Heard great things about this place so drove up for big Friday tea for the family only to walk in and see 'Cash Only' sign. Chippy tea not cheap these days so didn't have enough in pocket to pay as, like most people, don't tend to carry cash these days. Will probably come back another time to try the food and leave another review then”

The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Breakfast is tasty, with a wide choice of dishes. In the restaurant you can try local specialities. Prices are moderate. From the minuses - sometimes it can be noisy because of the proximity to the road. Overall, I recommend Gate Inn for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Excellent value for money.”
