Some of our party were late arriving but the staff were very understanding and let us have the table for an hour before ordering our food. James, our server, was friendly and funny and kept us supplied with drinks and snacks until we were all together and ready to order. “The food was really good other than the Calamari which was not in rings and more like squid bites It was tiny for £9.25! Our waitress Aim was an absolute delight, she couldn’t do more for us. She made extra effort to engage with my 3 boys showing interest in the game they were playing and the food they were ordering and making our birthday celebrations that little more special. I can’t believe she has only been working there a few days, she’s worth every penny you pay her, hold on to her she’s fabulous. Thanks so much Aim”

“I often go in here to get my Waitrose staples that simply aren’t available in any other supermarket but today in particular I feel the need to write a review mainly due to the Waitrose Partners in this branch. I needed help at the Customer Service desk and a lovely lady named Louise helped me well she really went over and above and I really do appreciate the kind and thoughtful assistance she provided. I was also assisted by 2 other partners instore today. Thank you all for your constant help, it always makes Waitrose a great place to shop.”

The Mussaman lamb shank and the Penang Beef were excellent, as were our starters, fresh, rich flavours and generous portions. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more attentive. The food was incredible everything tasted freshly prepared and bursting with authentic flavor. The grilled meats were tender and perfectly seasoned, the bread soft and warm, and every side dish felt homemade. Portion sizes were generous without sacrificing quality you definitely leave full and happy. The atmosphere is inviting and vibrant, with a lovely mix of cozy and lively. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner or a special evening out, it’s the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming. I can’t recommend Mevalana enough — 5 stars across the board for food, service, and ambiance. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Food is fantastic. The decor is very authentic and looks stunning. Looking from the outside isnt much to be lured in by but you will be pleasantly surprised. Bar staff are very friendly and are always willing to help. Great selection of food and drink. Food is amazing, also great for just grabbing drinks. There is a basement area which has live music everyweek, with some of the best talent Southampton has to offer. There are also so cushioned seats downstairs which are very comfy accompanied by more stunning features and a second bar. Brilliant location, cross the road and your in ocean Village. Brilliant place to drink on the weekends, don't turn up too late as the bouncers are very strict on letting people in past a certain time.”

“I've been on the hunt for great fish and chips for years, and today, I finally found it at The Bistro Shamrock Quay. The batter was perfectly crunchy, and not greasy. The chips were just right – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. It's evident that every aspect of the dish, from the sourcing of the fish to the cooking technique, has been meticulously considered. From now on, whenever the craving for fish and chips strikes, there's only one place I'll be heading – The Bistro at Shamrock Quay. Trust me, once you've tasted their fish and chips, there's no going back.”

“Went in for a meal with my wife and had our friend join us later in the evening. The food was amazing but our server was even better. Freddie took amazing care of us! The busyness of the restaurant meant that somethings were slightly delayed, absolutely no one’s fault and we were not in any rush. Freddie kept us updated and apologised a couple times for the wait (again, it wasn’t anyone’s fault, not his, nor the restaurants. It’s always nice seeing a business thrive). He was professional, friendly and accommodating. During the evening we had a group of loud women come in. We asked if we could move as it was quite overwhelming, he moved us over into a corner where it was a little more sheltered from the noise. He later came back and checked in to see if we were happy with our new table. This kind of detail was not unnoticed by us and we truly appreciated everything. Thank you for a lovely night. We will absolutely be back!”

“I hadn’t visited dim t in Winchester for years, but I decided it was time to rectify that, and I booked a table for a Saturday night meal with some friends. The restaurant was very busy when I arrived, which is always a good sign. Once seated, we were given the fantastic menu, and I spent a long time trying to decide what to have! The bao buns I had to start were fantastic – light, fluffy, and packed full of fillings. For the main course, I opted for Nasi Goreng, which I’ve had before in Singapore. I have to admit, I actually preferred this one to the one I had on holiday! It was very well-flavored, generous with the fillings, and a very enjoyable dish. I still had a small amount of space to share a dessert – and their Peanut Sundae was calling to me. It was honestly fantastic; it’s everything you want in a dessert. I found the entire experience very enjoyable, with the food being fantastic and the service being friendly and attentive. I also found the value very good too – with drinks and three courses coming in very reasonably. I’ll certainly be back again soon, as it’s a great place for a delicious dinner that doesn’t break the bank!”

“It's our first time visiting this restaurant in Romsey, easily accessible from bus station up around the corner which was convenient for us travelling by bus, entering via the garden which must be enjoyable under good weather though it's not yesterday. Atmosphere inside was quite cosy as it was an old house I supposed, we sit near the fireplace, it would be great in colder months when they lit it up with real woods sitting there; as to food choice, always good to choose from the menu, be sure to download their new app, check in every time when you dine there, you'll get a reward via the app & have all your activities in the app for you to remember with, we have ordered few plates to share with & a bottle of prosecco to enjoy, dessert to finish. Hope they would consider opening one in Southampton High Street area, so that we can go & enjoy whenever we desire.”

“Had dinner here during camping stay. Easily the best evening we had. Very good food (great authentic pizza), great location and very friendly and accommodating staff. Small playground for kids to play on whilst the adults enjoy a sneaky glass of wine or in my case a bottle of planet lager. Highly recommend.”

“This Sainsbury is off junction 7 of the M27. I stopped to get fuel, and called into the store to buy sushi. Had a Quick Look at the TU ladies clothes section. This is one of the biggest superstore Sainsbury I’ve seen. Well worth a visit. Great Habitat section & Argos too.”

“Shanghai Bay’s Cantonese dim sum is absolutely top-notch, offering an authentic taste of traditional Cantonese cuisine. My favorite dish is the Fresh King Prawn Cheung Fun (大鮮蝦腸粉)—the rice rolls are silky smooth yet delightfully chewy, and the prawns are impressively large, fresh, and flavorful, far superior to the usual frozen ones. Among other dim sum, I especially love the Prawn Dumplings (鮮蝦餃皇), which are made without fatty pork. The Minced Pork Dumplings with Prawn (鮮蝦蒸燒賣) and Beef Dumplings with Dried Bean Curd (山竹牛肉球) are also excellent. The Fried Dough Cheung Fun (炸兩), featuring crispy Chinese dough sticks wrapped in rice noodle rolls, is wonderfully crunchy, and the mini Glutinous Rice with Meat in Lotus Leaves (迷你珍珠雞) are perfectly portioned and well-seasoned. I would even say that the dim sum here is better than any Cantonese restaurant I’ve tried in London, considering both the quality and size of the dim sum. Everything is freshly steamed to order, arriving at the table piping hot, making it well worth recommending. As for Shanghai dim sum, such as the Shanghai Dumplings with Crab Meat (蟹粉小籠包) and Pan-Fried Pork & Vegetable Buns (香煎菜肉包), they are decent but not particularly outstanding compared to the Cantonese offerings.”

“Simply stunning food, atmosphere and customer service. The waitress knew exactly what to recommend after I suggested duck - I didn't want anything spicy so went for the black bean duck. It tasted so fresh, soft, healthy and varying bits of delicious duck fat chopped to perfection! Slightly salty but portions are also very generous so I'll be coming back for my duck fix instead of ordering the unhealthy duck wraps”

“Fantastic time at The Olive Tree! We booked to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. The communication from the start was easy through the booking system. On the evening the table was ready when we got there, service was impeccable and food was delicious We pre ordered our food and everything came out at just the right speed, food was hot and everyone enjoyed their meals We took our own cake for desert and the staff brought this out All in all I would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. “Lovely pub very friendly staff. We booked a table and then asked if we could stay in their car park over night in our camper which they said was fine as we had booked a table. Food very good, we ordered , a couple of acholoic drinks, a grazing board and then a main each but we had far too much food. They have an amazing ice cream parlour but could manage this time, Reasonably priced would visit again.”
