Won't go anywhere else now for meat - pop in regularly for weekly essentials and it is always good to see and try their ever-changing range of home-made specials; meatballs, stir frys, chicken lattice etc. Harri knows his trade and is more than happy to pass on invaluable advice on cuts, cooking methods etc. Highly recommend.”

“Bulgarian wine!!!! Absolutely loved this Bulgarian wine tasting, something a bit different with wine that was surprising and thought provoking and some great information on the areas the wine came from and a lesson in how to check the acidity of white wines and the tanins in the reds. Cecile is always fun, exuberant and really gets the group engaging. Over the years we have attended 4 different wine tasting sessions with this amazing school and had a fantastic time every time. Give it a go you won't regret it.”

“It doesn’t get much better than Gambledown Farm! We hosted our wedding weekend here and it was truly perfect. Tamara and her team were incredibly welcoming and supportive every step of the way. Having all of our friends and family stay on site made the whole experience even more special. From the very first planning stages through to after the wedding, Tamara went above and beyond - we couldn’t recommend Gambledown more, whether for a wedding or even a cosy staycation. The grounds are immaculate, beautifully green, and set against stunning countryside with plenty of charming farm animals. If we could do it all over again, we absolutely would!”

“Excellent experience for dinner. We booked a table online very easily. Arrived and was shown exceptional service. The food ordering was easy. The food was delicious and lots of it. Prices were reasonable. Not much inside seating but plenty of seats outside. We sat inside. Great atmosphere and we even asked for the playlist as it was so good! We ordered two quesadillas (one chicken, one pulled pork) and a pulled pork taco, and each dish completely exceeded expectations — especially the pulled pork, which was tender, flavorful, and felt like a true taste of Mexico. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and every bite was packed with flavor. On top of that, the shop owner was incredibly friendly and attentive. A wonderful mix of great food, warm hospitality, and genuine care. Highly recommended to anyone in the area!”

“A excellent cafe/bistro situated approx 10 mins walk from Winchester Station. It's a Hip & Happining place to enjoy your food. I had scrambled eggs on toast and it was lovely with a cup of pot of tea. The staff are all very friendly and very polite. Be aware it does get busy so get there early if you can. Most of the seating is inside.”

“We had a superb visit to Taco Taco. The owners/ chefs are friendly and clearly passionate about their dishes. The food was amazing and the best presentation of Mexican food I've ever seen (and I've tried a lot). The sweet potato Taco was my favourite and the pineapple margarita went down very well. For us the desserts were the stand-out part of the meal, and the Latvian Honey cake, Teurgoule, and the Pear with blue cheese and chutney ice cream all got rave reviews. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Perfect place for coffee lovers. They have different coffee roasted beans and when I asked them about the best coffee beans to used at home they helped me really well. Little shop with great staff. It would be better if they serve different cakes and pastries as well but their coffee taste is good enough to go there.”
