“A gem of a café. Hidden away on an enterprise estate, seek it out as the food is exactly what you hope to find for breakfast, brunch or lunch! Only one smashed avo item on the menu but plenty of bacon, sausages, eggs, cheese, beans and delicious granary toast. Staff are friendly and chatty creating a lovely atmosphere.”

“What a great addition to the Southampton dining scene. A beautifully designed restaurant specialists in cheese/meat boards and fine wine. What I love is the superb staff, friendly service and of course great food. This place can be a place to bring a date, a casual catch up or just a meeting. Whatever brings you here its guaranteed you will stay a while enjoy the wine and chilled beats. The decor is amazing too - the ceiling looks like grass and there is a lovely hand made sign over the bar! There is such a selection of food that you will find something delicious. And even a full vegan alternative so no excuses from anyone not to visit. As for access, the Porter is fully inclusive, handicapped access and I was able to bring my support dog and she was also made to feel like a valued guest. Special thanks to Milo, for always going above and beyond with the service. Highly recommended.”

For main we both ordered ramen and it was such a great food experience. Every bit is well made. The service was also very nice and welcoming. “This place truly is a gem tucked away in an industrial park! We came across this by accident browsing Google maps, and it’s clearly loved by locals as it had a fairly constant flow of people. We had some pour over coffee, and a couple of sweets that which were both delicious. The coffee wasn’t quite to our taste this time so I think I would have appreciated a bit more forwardness in the staff on the kinds of coffee beans they offer at the counter when we ordered, but they gave good advice when we asked about it upon leaving so I’d be happy to come back and try something else. The decor was very eclectic and cozy, though the sound of grinding coffee beans echoes in the warehouse style space - not necessarily a good place for reading or working but definitely a nice trip out. If you’re a coffee fiend and know your stuff you’ll definitely appreciate this place! It’s also dog and kid friendly.”

“Such lovely food. All cooked fresh. I had bubble and squeak with bacon and poached eggs. The bacon was thick and cooked to perfection. The poached eggs were delicious and just runny enough. Very tasty. Will definitely visit again.”

“Wonderful shop and café right in the heart of a beautiful village. The shop kept open right through lockdown and this was down to a fantastic team of volunteers and supporters. The trout pate is amazing, but Sharon's cakes are the best homemade cakes around.”

“A busy little cafe with very nice staff. I only had coffee whilst I did some work on my laptop between clients but other people's food looked very nice and my coffee was nice. Lots of tables so although busy no one seemed to be waiting to sit.”
