“Popped in on Halloween night as we were running behind on dinner due to trick or treating with the kids and they left us no dinner. Saw their Facebook post on special Halloween offers so gave it a go. Lovely friendly staff, even the chef popped out in to restaurant area. Sausage and mash was lovely, nice touches and locally sourced sausages. Couldn't stay long and only moved to Swanmore 3 weeks ago so at least we know this place is a food one to go to in future. See you again soon!”

“We got married here on 4/10/25 and it was the best day of our lives. I cannot fault the service we received at any point start to finish. The day ran perfectly. Tommy was an absolute star on the day making sure everything ran smoothly and interacting with guests who all loved him, he was so professional. Sam was so kind in the run up to the wedding getting everything ready, he really did think of everything. The bar staff and waiters were joyous, especially Leo. I opted for the roast lamb, which was cooked to perfection – tender, flavourful, and accompanied by the most delicious gravy. My partner chose the fish and chips, and it was hands down the best we’ve ever had. The portions were generous, and the presentation was top-notch. What truly set this place apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. They even took the time to chat with us about the history of the pub, which added a lovely personal touch to our visit. To top it all off, the dessert menu was a dream. We shared a sticky toffee pudding that was simply divine – the perfect end to a fantastic meal. “Here last night for a team meal and had such a great experience. The service was excellent from start to finish — the staff were so friendly and welcoming, which really made the evening. My bike was stolen this morning in front of Sainsbury’s in Shirley precinct, and I walked around to local pawn shops to ask if they could let me know if someone tried to sell it. A few hours later, they called me saying someone had tried to sell them the bike, and they had it! They also captured the faces on CCTV to show the police. THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH.”

“I am, at the time of writing this, enrolled in Itchen College (2023-2026). Since joining in September 2023, I've found Itchen to be an incredible and well-meaning facility. The staff, especially the support staff, are incredibly helpful; this Includes when I got support to get over my communication barrier, wherein I couldn't talk for the first few weeks. With the education and preparedness I received, I managed to get my GCSE English grade up from a 3 to a 6, within the span of being at Itchen College for barely 3 months. The opportunities presented to students is remarkable; where for example students can join the Student Ambassador team to help with Open Day/Evening events. I myself serve currently as a Student Ambassador, and I work on the Board of Governors as a Student Representative. In conclusion, the College has a welcoming environment, friendly faces, a good sense of community, and good educational facilities; regardless of the subject or level type.”

“My child is very happy at Woodberry Sholing and is met with warmth and cuddles when she is dropped off. She engages in fun activities and eats a lovely range of meals. She is always happy at pickup and buzzing...if a little shattered from her full day! The Early Years practioners in the toddler room( 2yo) are friendly, fun and are approachable. My child loves them! My eldest was in Woodberry back in 2019, until 2022 and thrived in the preschool room, they were amazing with her and helped us manage my daughters severe eczema in daycare with upmost care, and professionalism. Now my youngest is halfway through her journey. Many of the staff are still present from my eldests time at Woodberry. As a parent of 2 who has a longstanding experience of this nursery since 2019 I wholly recommend Woodberry Sholing for all ages.”
