“We visit the pub frequently for both food and just drinks and always enjoy our visits. All of the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. The pub has a lovely ambience and if you have young children the outside play area is excellent. Food is of good quality and there is lots of choice. Highly recommend visiting.”

“The quality of the bacon chop I had was excellent, and the preparation of lunch and dessert likewise. The service was also pleasant and engaging. The ambiance inside the restaurant was superb, even very cosy coal fires. And a bonus for me is they are dog friendly too. Last but not least the view of the "lake" was very much to my liking. If I were to visit the area again I would definitely seek to dine there again, my compliments to the chef!”

“Took my elderly Uncle and friends to have lunch. The staff were ready with a ramp for his mobility scooter and were attentive throughout our visit. The roast beef was delicious and pudding to die for. Compared to London prices (where I live) this was a very reasonably priced visit. Go give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!”

“Had a sunday roast here....what a great roast dinner it was....a trio of meats cooked too perfection. My wife and daughter had had the roast chicken and none of us finished there was so much. Great staff very attentive. If you want great food at a great price go here!”

“We recently held a fundraising social night at the venue. The customer service we received from Ricky, the manager, was excellent throughout. The room was nicely decorated and had a good feel about it. Thanks to everyone the evening was a great success and I highly recommend hiring the function room for a special event.”

“Friendly and welcoming. Feel very safe here on a night out. Great new bar staff and owners are beyond lovely! Food looks great to from what I've seen. Kids meals available and kids always made to feel welcome here. Lovely little doggy called jack to who lives here!”

“Not been there in years but popped in on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised by the friendly clients and especially the staff. It used to be quite a rough place full of miscreants however we were warmly welcomed by all and found some old lost faces from a distant past!!! Great!!!”

“Had a great evening. There was a band called accelerater (Ska music) they were very good. The bar staff were very polite and friendly. I will make an effort to go more often as it is the most local to me, and drinks are reasonably priced.”

“A hidden gem. The Obelisk is a locals pub with great atmosphere, always recieve a good welcome. Known for it's live music on Friday nights. It has recently reopened it kitchen providing a good range of pub and great selection of Beers at a reasonable . Recent had food there , very good home cooked . Will go there again. Recommended”

“We recently visited a different Beefeater and thought twice about trying this one. But don't think twice about here. This was one of the best pub/restaurants we've been to in years. Very helpful staff when asked about milk allergies. The portions and food presentation here were great. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. When our food arrived it was hot, my med/rare steak was nicely cooked and all 3 meals were tasty. Tasty coffee and the option for a jug of iced tap water wasn't an issue. A great pub would call in again if we didn't live 200+ miles away”

“Lovely pub very friendly staff. We booked a table and then asked if we could stay in their car park over night in our camper which they said was fine as we had booked a table. Food very good, we ordered , a couple of acholoic drinks, a grazing board and then a main each but we had far too much food. They have an amazing ice cream parlour but could manage this time, Reasonably priced would visit again.”

“this was our first visit to Harpers steak house in Southampton and we were not disappointed! From the ease of booking online to receiving the bill at the end everything was exceptional! The staff member, Driton was extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel at ease as soon as we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best steaks we have had in a restaurant in a long time! Not only that but each course came out quickly, was a good portion size and hot! We would definitely recommend Harpers and will certainly be returning.”

“Come here every week for breakfast, and always bring my children in the holidays as they love it too. £11 for an all you can eat breakfast is so worth it and the food is lush. The staff are lovely and so welcoming :)”

“Just had a lovely roast today at The Old Farmhouse. Food was lovely and hot, tasted really good and the service was first class. I think the young lady who served me was called Libby. She is an absolute credit to the company, very smiley and nothing was too much trouble.”
