“Very friendly welcome, easy to navigate around zoo . Play parks for children and restaurant , ice cream stalls around the zoo . Plenty of benches for respite. Good day out”
“Went for a school trip there. Easy to find way round. The education hub was very informative although could have had more meaningful interactive activities rather than just look and touch.”
“We went as a family to the annual light display. Every year gets better and better. The visits during the day are just as spectacular and the family annual ticket is the best since sliced toast. Every visit has something new to see. Nothing beats fresh air and exercise.”
“The Marwell Zoo Gift Shop is a delightful spot to pick up souvenirs after a day at the zoo. It offers a wide range of items, from plush toys and eco-friendly gifts to clothing and home decor, all themed around wildlife and conservation. The shop is well-organized, with friendly staff, and purchases support the zoo’s conservation efforts. While some items may be a bit pricey, the selection is excellent, making it a great place for memorable keepsakes for both kids and adults.”
“Lots of available parking, not difficult to access, good availability for disabled parking.”
“Very welcoming and safe atmosphere for children and parents. Lovely staff and amazing environment and philosophy. My son absolutely loves going and it's such a special, unique, natural and supportive experience. Wish this had been here when my first son was younger.”
“The Coffee Corner at Marwell Zoo is a cozy spot for a quick break during your visit. It offers a variety of hot drinks, including good quality coffee and tea, along with light snacks like pastries and sandwiches. The seating area is comfortable, and it's a nice place to relax while taking in views of the zoo. Service is friendly, though it can get a bit busy during peak times. Overall, it's a convenient and pleasant stop for a refreshment during your zoo trip.”
“Just had a great visit here. 10 of us including children took our own tents and camped in the main field. A really nice vibe, children playing, adults happy, fairy lights on guy ropes at night and the glow of fire pits after dark made the stay a really good time. You don’t really need to go anywhere else, crazy golf, zip wires, bar, restaurant, shop.”
“Great that parents can go in with really little ones. Well priced, nice simple food available and it wasn't overly crowded, which apparently is normal.”
“This is a spacious and family-friendly spot for a meal during your visit. It offers a range of food options, including hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and kids' meals, catering to various tastes. The café has plenty of seating with great views of the surrounding zoo and is perfect for a relaxing lunch break. While the prices can be a bit on the higher side, the food quality and variety are good. Overall, it's a convenient and enjoyable place to refuel during your day at the zoo.”
“Lovely place, rooms are bit dated. Complained about first room as have been cleaned but was managed immediately and moved us to another room, much nicer! Staff were all lovely and very welcoming and ideal being next to the zoo. Had an amazing time would definitely recommend!”
