“Beautiful country pub! We had a family dinner here, 15 of us across 4 generations, and it was excellent for all of us! The staff were attentive, despite it being a busy Sunday afternoon, with lots of other groups in too. What a beautiful, atmospheric place! Welcoming, clean, accessible, and busy - we'll definitely be back again soon.”

“Fabulous meal, the best food I've tasted for a long time. Could not fault anything! So much choice, so in the end went for the shallots with ham, the Roast lamb as a main, which just fell off the bone, so tender. And if you fancy a pudding but don't want to be overfaced, go for the small dessert and hot drink. Would definitely go again and recommend.”

“Went for the first time this week and I've been looking for a good Indian restaurant for a while. I'm veggie, so tried the Paneer Makhani and it was delicious. Unlike other places I've been, this one had plenty of paneer, it was amazing. I had gone to another place and it barely had five cubes, it was ridiculous. I'll definitely return here and I'll order from here, too, in future. Staff were super lovely, too.”

“Reasonably priced, well staffed, and a very normal perishable range for a corner shop. Really nice little store. Brand new. I'm reviewing during Covid19 lockdown, and they've been handling it really well. Thank you for being a lifeline for everyone. Also in normal circumstances the shop is very organised, clean, bright, and well-staffed. Product range is very nice for a small store, and covers pretty much anything you might need for a weekly top-up. Staff are always really nice. You could definitely do your entire weekly groceries here, but it's still a local corner shop, not a supermarket. So don't be silly, and have reasonable expectations.”

“Where do we start? Thank you, thankyou Zoe and the team for hosting our daughters wedding 27.6.25. Nothing was too much trouble.. everyone was so friendly, the pub was decorated to perfection in a relaxed country floral theme. The flowers decorating the venue were stunning. The food was plentiful, utterly delicious and presented beautifully. There were so many little personal touches that completed the day .The dj kept everyone on the dance floor and again nothing was too much trouble. The Windmill is a real gem..thankyou xx”

I regularly shop here and she is one of lifes best. Always friendly, down to earth and caring. “Bar staff fab, friendly and efficient. Serving chef, positive with a good sense of humour.. Our waiter for the evening 100% fabulous. Polite, efficient, patient with one of vulnerable players, checked all guests for allergies, checked with chefs and advised a member of our party accordingly. Cleaned away dishes so subtlety no one hardly noticed. Curtesy checked all in our group which was a large number. Apologised for 2 puddings coming out last just 3 minutes after the others which there wasnt a need for an apology as we were a very large group. We had also been sat early too. This young man didn't miss a beat. By far the best waiter ive ever come across, a few of us agreed, we've worked the sector one been a pro chef herself who's hard to impress lol. Some of us tipped as paying the bill. Once everyone had paid up some of the group got chatting with the waiter who thanked us again. We decided to collect a group tip.. We didnt need to or have to.. 1. Its christmas the season of good will and giving 2. The lad didnt miss a beat and deserved a little something. I took the glass to the bar with him set it down and told assumingly his manager that was his tips gave him and hug and wished him a merry Christmas. As the group started to leave a few minutes later he was clearly leaving for home and still went and checked a number plate on a taxi for one of our group before dashing to his car thanking us again. Honestly folks staff as busy as these were on our arrival and still keeping a high standard with a smile on their faces isnt easily found these days. To the Managers, thank you again its always a pleasure and a super well done on the hire of this waiter receipt said laim but I do believe his name is parki apologies if its spelt wrong most of us who asked his name are hard of hearing or have Dory memory lol.
