“Seriously talented artists who create unique designs and sustainable fashion. Thank you to The Purple House Collective for creating a custom hooded jacket for my partner's birthday! I first popped into their studio in Stoke to meet with Hannah for a design consultation about a custom project for myself, a tailormade suit. Hannah made me feel at ease, and helped me to start unlocking some design ideas. During this chat, I had chance to look at some of the creations that Hannah and Sam were working on. I spotted an intriguing piece, a large hooded jacket with baggy arms and beautiful embroidery on the back. I told them both that I was upset that I hadn't come to visit earlier, as I had just 1 week until my partners birthday, and would have loved to create something for him. Sam assured me that I wasn't too late, and that they could get the piece made in a matter of days! I was so excited, and Hannah helped me to pick out some initial fabric. When I got home, I found some custom fabric that my partner had been 'saving' for a project (it had been in the back of his wardrobe for 2 years at this point)... I also took some pictures of some of the sketches he had been working on, and sent these along with the fabric to the team at TpHC. With 4 days to go, I was preparing my partner that his present might get 'stuck in the post', because at the back of my mind, I was doubtful it could be achieved so quickly. To my surprise, not only was it created on time, with all the additional design features... Sam also added a beautiful velvet lining to the piece, AND delivered it in person to my partner while we were in town (2am?), so he could wear his new design at his DJ set. It feels so luxurious, and my partner absolutely loves it! He likes that it has his designs on, and is completely unique. Strongly recommend working with TpHC to achieve your sustainable fashion designs. Thank you again!! GKT x”
