“As a girl, trying BJJ is always an apprehensive experience. However, I was pleased to say that I felt very welcomed and learned so much! John has a spectacular way of teaching and explaining concepts in ways that just make sense. Many times he has explained a move that I have seen before but his explanations have just made something click in my head and I have noticed this in my rolls afterwards. Although I have been BJJ since the start of this year, this beginner course was valuable for nailing down the foundations. I enjoyed the way the beginner course was structured, with each session focussing on specific submissions such as the rear naked choke, triangles, head and arm submissions, shoulder locks, leg locks, etc. Johns further support through tutorials and videos sent through the group WhatsApp GC has also really helped to relay key information from the lessons. I would 100% recommend the beginner course and Horizon to anyone!”

“I really love my Thursday night Pilates class here at Carolyn Bews Pilates. Everyone is very welcoming, great teachers and the studio is lovely too. I started as a complete beginner and wasn't very active previously. I've been progressing and learning more each week and the teachers are very encouraging and help with improving techniques and adapting them if needed. It's an hour each week for myself which calms me mentally, leaves me feeling so relaxed and I can feel myself becoming stronger and flexible more each week. Love it!”

“Rich has helped me with a few issues with my hips and knees and really knows exactly what is needed to help. I’ve been to physios before that never really solved the problem/explained to me what was wrong in an easy to understand manner, which rich does really well. I now know the cause of pain and with stretches/movements rich has given me to do and 3-4 weekly sports massage, my issues are starting to clear up. I would (and have) recommend rich to anyone with any issues following sports/exercise etc. to go and see him.”

She has also engaged two separate specialists to consult with me on issues that may again improve my circumstances. She has a gentle, considerate manner and listens and observes carefully which puts me at ease , allowing me to make informed decisions about trying new ( to me) methods of treatment and regimes which could and do contribute to a holistic programme of intervention.
