“Ok so this place surpassed my expectations. I got married here 30 years ago and my city has suffered since. The hotel has changed hands a few times since and I wasn’t expecting much but it really was great. It’s a big hotel. The rooms are huge. It’s been very well redecorated throughout. 2 small complaints 1. Lift is a bit tatty. 2. Ground floor lobby is like the land that ti forgot. Otherwise it’s a yes from me”

“Excellent holiday home. Very comfortable surroundings and the owners are lovely too. Be aware, the track to the farm is unpaved for quite a way, and a standard car may hit the road in places if not taken at a very slow pace?”

“Really nice area with a variety of walking routes (most of which are firm under foot). Well worth crossing the canal into Marbury park and stopping off at the mobile refreshments trailer (their Marbury blend tea is very nice and they do a variety of lunch options and sweet treats).There are public toilets next to the trailer, should you need them. Crossing back over the canal, and following the tow path back to the boat lift car park, results in around a 4.5 mile circular route, but there are opportunities to extend it further, should you want to. Really popular with dog walkers and families.”

“It's a lovely lake and a nice easy walk around the lake. And it has paths leading off to other walks through the woodland. So you can make your walk as big or small as you like. Lots of nature trails and lots of things the kids can spot along the way. The little cow shed next door to the reserve so you can grab a cuppa. Card only. Oakhanger project's is how I came to know the place through kayaking and canoeing. Which I found through Walk talk action. “A hidden gem. Beautiful countryside with the most stunning bluebell wood I've ever seen. I didn't get very far as I have mobility issues but it was well worth the effort.”

“Absolutely beautiful place for a dog walk or even a leisurely stroll to be at one with nature. The colours of the autumn leaves are lovely. You can hear birds singing in the trees. It's a beautiful place with spaces to leave your car too. I didn't know this existed until I saw the reviews on here. There is a lovely lake as well with ducks and geese having a swim. The geese I heard flying into the area and landed on the lake for a rest. It's so nice and peaceful. I didn't see anyone else whilst I was walking around. I highly recommend this reserve.”

“The working phone leads to a turn where you need to turn left. I passed this turn and drove on, there is no way to turn around, but at the traffic lights on a wide road I went around all this and returned to the starting place, the owner himself brought it. There is a 90-degree turn and I damaged the pallet, but it was possible to do more harm. You need to turn here and not be afraid 52.941739,-1.927040”
