“A lovely wee busy cafe in Hazlehead park. We had a good time at the cafe. Nice selection of cakes - it was the first time I had seen a blueberry Bakewell being sold in a cafe, and it was really nice! Staff were ready for the busyness, and it was a somewhat fast service. It’s quite a cute and small cafe, so I do foresee it getting a bit crammed sometimes, and maybe not being able to seat everyone that comes in. But that might not be the case all the time (we came in during the Easter holidays).”

“We organised a dance event here and it was great! We had tried a few different places but we went with Union Brew because the manager, Lili, was very proactive in helping us to organise the event and the cost for hiring the venue was very reasonable. In the end, the event went really well and we're hoping that will organise more events here in the future.”

“A delightful little cafe in the heart of the city. I’ve been twice now and I have no doubt I’ll be back again. A friend and I were enjoying the sun at Union Terrace Gardens when we both fancied a coffee. We went to Common Sense, but just they had closed. Very kindly, they still served us coffees to takeaway, which we very much appreciated and enjoyed. I went back on my lunch break a couple of weeks later and got a double espresso, curried vegetable soup and cheese scone to takeaway. The food was delicious and after having worked as a barista for a few years, I consider myself to be a little bit of a coffee snob. I was far from disappointed with the espresso. Perfectly balanced and brewed. £10.25 in total and of course more expensive than a now almost £4 meal deal in the supermarkets, but a wonderful treat. Although small, there is still a good amount of seating considering and I’ve found the service to be second to none. An absolute gem to have here in Aberdeen.”

“Great iced coffee on a warm day. A very popular cafe, ques formed about 10am but the staff worked well to keep the customers happy. I was asked if I'd like the"smoother"coffee, but I was surprised no mention of additional cost was said at the same time. It was only 30p more but ment I had to rustle around for change. I felt they should have said, "Would you like a smoother coffee for an additional 30p" Looked like a good selection of pastries Croissants, etc, but I wasn't hungry, so did not have any. £4.30 for an iced cafe latte.”

“Good menu and experienced staff, which appears well trained. The coffee tasted nice and fresh, probably steamed from the preparation. Some add-in, like shops selling clothes and home ornament, makes the shop attractive, providing a wonderfully ambitious ambiance. However, management must check the toilet and ensure regular and follow-up cleaning. To the staff, thank you for your services.”

“We found this wonderful cafe a few months ago. The ladies serving afternoon teas etc are lovely and friendly and always welcome us back. They also serve delicious hot lunches that we have had on numerous occasions. So glad we happened to find this wonderful place.”

University wifi available at reasonable speed, plenty of seating and power sockets for charging phones and laptops. Can be very busy around the turn of the hour, particularly at 1200.”

“Beautiful little tearoom located within Drum Castle. The indoor seating is really cute and appears to be in what was the servant hall or kitchen. Inside only has around 5 tables with further seating outdoors in the courtyard. We have visited here so many times and keep coming back not just for the good quality but also the excellent service. Always been the same lady working in the cafe and she’s genuinely friendly and helpful. Today we went for their deal where you get a drink, sandwich, crisps and cake for £9.50. Everything was really tasty and fresh, especially the cinnamon swirl that was fresh out of the oven. They have a good range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, soups and cakes. We love visiting here and always look forward to going back.”
