“Outstanding place with no strangers only friends you've yet to meet.... bar staff 10 outa 10”
“Brilliant staff brilliant food at quality price absolutely love going there friendly welcoming”
“Very well positioned, specially for people without transport. Reception was very helpful and accommodated every request. Some tour groups kings of dominated the common area, but that isn't the hotels fault. Room was comfortable. Only criticism is that i would have preferred a secure wifi link rather than an open one”
“Amazing food, amazing employees and quick service. Quiet pods, good heating, nice speakers to use. Would strongly recommend.”
“We came on a Sunday evening and they had a live band at just the right volume. It's huge and ornate. As a visitor to Belfast, I was generally disappointed by the range of beers (craft beer doesn't seem to have reached here), but this bar had a somewhat better selection than most.”
“I spent most of my younger weekends here and was great to go back for a night out! Absolutely fantastic atmosphere and the staff were incredible! Will be back again soon.”
“We had a fantastic stay at Benedicts. We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast deal and upgraded to an executive suite (book direct with the hotel - not through booking.com). The food was excellent as was the service (from reception to the bar and restaurant) The room was quiet despite being at the front of the building and the bed extremely comfortable. Thanks to all staff members that made our stay perfect. Loved the Halloween decorations throughout too.”
“Spent 2 nights here and cannot complain about anything. From checking in to checkout everyone was so helpful and friendly. Lovely clean room, nice breakfast. Perfectly situated with 5 minutes walk to the shops, loads of bars and restaurants nearby. Only downside was the cost of a taxi from the Airport £49. But we got the bus back £9. Will definitely return thanks for a lovely stay.”
“Love love love...We enjoyed a brunch with cocktails and spent time afterwards sitting outside in the sunshine before popping off around Belfast. We ended our evening by stopping in again for one last tipple before we headed home. Really attentive staff and one bar man in particular was an absolute pleasure; nothing was too much; a true old school attentive service. We left feeling so Glam and cared for. Thank you.”
“Walked past for years, finally went in with my Husband and Mother in law for lunch last week. Food was absolutely delicious and the staff were outstanding. Will definitely be back and would recommend to all!”
“We have now officially adopted The Poet as our wee “local”. We’ve called in a few times over this past year for a quick pint after a long day out with the kids and ordered a few starters & kids meals. Our most recent visits we’ve sat for longer and ordered 3 courses. Each time we’ve visited we haven’t had a reservation but the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming especially catering for three kids. It honestly has a great wee cozy vibe, it’s just nice to sit with a pint at the window and watch the world go by. The food is always incredible especially their wings, prawns pil pil and prawn cocktail (Sunday only for PC) we’ve had a variety from the menu and it has always been outstanding quality and generous portions. We’ve enjoyed their Roasts, fish and chips, pork belly and their chicken stack etc. Also, a variety of kids meals which went down a treat especially the kids pasta dish with garlic bread. Oh and that sticky toffee pudding is to die for, it’s amazing! Such an underrated wee place. Good atmosphere, great prices and superb food. Thoroughly enjoyed our random wee visits. Some of the nicest and friendliest staff. I cannot recommend The Poet enough.”
“Couldnt fault it...really great food atmosphere and staff really friendly ...went with my son got two courses each a wee pint each and all for under 20 quid couldnt beat it”
“We had a great Christmas dinner here. The meals were delicious, the service was pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere was lovely but comfortable”
“Great cocktails good priced 2 for £13, was unreal and a great price hard to get nice cocktails and food theses days that are reasonably priced will defo be back”
“First-class service! I was very impressed with Bittles Bar. A friend recommended it, and I appreciate that it can be a tourist attraction, so I was expecting to be a bit chaotic. However, the staff have this bar running like a well-oiled machine. They make sure to find you a seat and keep your glass full. I was very impressed and had a great pint! I highly recommend it!!!”
“Amazing food and staff very friendly.”
“What a really good place for a bite to eat. Lovely seating, excellent food and the staff were very good too. I had the lamb stew and it was excellent. Portions are big Highly recommend”
“I don’t come to Northern Ireland very often but when I do I always park in Lisburn. My colleagues recommended The Cardan and I must say I have not been disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing, well cooked and excellently presented. From the moment I walk in I am made to feel welcome. Something you don’t get from a lot of places. If I was to recommend anywhere to eat and drink it would be The Cardan. Fantastic place to meet, eat and drink. Thank you to all the management and staff for making this an ideal venue.”
“Absolutely some of the best food we've ever eaten! My boyfriend and I came for a meal this evening and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from Ethan who served both our drinks and food. The service was 10/10, Ethan was so polite and friendly. We had squid and mac and cheese to start (both absolutely beautiful), followed by chicken and chorizo cajun pasta, and a ribeye steak. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION, it literally melted in your mouth, the best steak we've ever had for sure! We'll 100% be back if we're ever in Bangor again, 10/10 for everything, no faults whatsoever! Xx”
“Lovely little bar in Bangor. Parking is a tad difficult but a side street does the job and no need for a parking ticket either. Food was excellent and was brought out quickly. Service initially was a tad slow but not enough to hinder the experience. The area we were in for food was quiet enough but definitely seemed like a lot of life in the next room (maybe the main bar area?) Anywho, would highly recommend for a feed. We got 2 courses for £19 each on a Saturday night and was very happy with that. Fish was absolutely fantastic and a great homemade curry to go along with it. Salt and chilli beef to start was great too, not chewy at all and full of flavour. Would highly recommend”
“Clean tidy great food excellent staff and service.”
“Really nice staff. Good food. Nice place to meet.”
“friendly service everytime I visit also great place to have a function who offer free room hire and dj, no hesitation in recommending to anyone as I've held a fundraiser in it recently and had an awesome time.”
“Went to this place to play pool with my niece's and had a good night”
“Lovely bar with a real community feel. As a non-local I felt so welcome and all the staff from the bouncers to the bar men & women were so friendly and warm! Great Guinness too! Dj on Saturday nights with brilliant crowd-pleasers! Can’t wait to go back!”
“The experience from start to finish was first class. The Hotel itself is just beautiful and comfy.....Bar, Restaurant and rooms. We stayed in a club deluxe which was priced at £115, very good for Belfast. Staff were very nice and helpful; and the beds were so comfy.”
“Was over in Belfast for a concert, and popped in here for tea. Expected nice pub grub...but it was far better than that. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food utterly delicious, the best food I've eaten in the four days we had been away by far. Would recommend, and next time we are over here, will definitely call again...cheers!”
“My favourite bar in Belfast! The food is delicious and huge portions, the service is wonderful and there are different rooms with different entertainment depending on what you want on the day- live music, pool, a bistro. Special shout out to Maria who really went above and beyond with customer service, particularly to reunite me with an item I left behind!!”
“Food was amazing, great atmosphere, exceptional service by Catherine. Highly recommend! Thank you.”
“Lovely food and drink, inside our outside dining near the hustle and bustle of Victoria square”
