Fine dining restaurant in Belfast

“A little gem in Strandtown, east Belfast. The restaurant was buzzing when we arrived but we didn’t have long to wait until we were shown to our table. Chose olives as a snack then two fish based dishes. The haddock fishcake starter with fennel salad was delicious. Sea bass with mussels, prawns and squid in a tomato based peppery sauce and a large crunchy crouton was equally good. We had some sides of chips, green salad and green vegetables alongside the main dish. Very satisfying course but still had room for the strawberry vacherin meringue dessert. Another lovely dish. Servers were attentive and friendly throughout the evening with just the right amount of wait time between courses. All very reasonably priced. Definitely will return.”

“Very nice restaurant, well worth a visit. I had lunch recently (beef brisket) which was tasty and generous. Nice decor and atmosphere. But the stand out feature was the staff who were welcoming, professional and friendly. Great parking just outside the door too.”

“Dog friendly. Went for a evening meal and drinks with my partner and our dog. Great service from the start. Had some small plates between us and shared the special which was all brilliant. Curtis even went the extra mile and got my fiancée some olives when she chanced her arm after seeing they weren't on the menu. All in all a great night, cocktails were fantastic and would definitely go back!”

“Excellent flavour on the Chicken, nice char from being cooked on open flames. Rice and peas is delicious as well, sweet, creamy and spicy. One portion of rice is enough to feed a family of 4 mind you! Overall great - would have liked one more piece of chicken and less rice could have done.”

But my visit tonight was overshadowed by an obnixious customer, who was extremely rude, but the professionalism and calmness, especially from Jasmine was exemplary, the situation was so well managed; this needs to be recognised and acknowledged by the management as to what a great team you have.”

“Went for my partners birthday this evening, first time we have ever visited harmony palace and can I say I have never felt more comfortable then the amazing staff made us feel here! I had mentioned when ordering our food it was my partners birthday and the staff remembered this after they cleared our plates brought out a chocolate cake with a candle and sang happy birthday. They made us feel so welcomed with our 16 month old as well it was all round a brilliant experience and the food was obviously top tier- cannot wait to dine again with you guys!”

“Great cafe in the East Side visitors centre on CS Lewis Square. Great coffee and a range of snacks/lunch food. Good for working too as upstairs is usually fairly quiet. Has a range of local artwork and products for sale too.”

“Called into the Holywood branch for a quick lunch on a Tuesday about 12:30pm. Staff were very attentive and helpful. I ordered a salad + margarita pizza, along with dough balls, dough sticks + kids margarita pizza. A few of the dough balls were burnt but the rest of food was delicious. Will definitely be back.”

“For all my jokes and upon reflection, this place was very good! The steak was very tender, mash and cabbage were buttery and indulgent and chips (for their size) were nice and crispy! I understand that part of the appeal of this place is that you finish your steak how you like on the hot stone. But for me, paying £70 for the chateaubriand, I would’ve liked the option for the chef to have cooked it for us. I would’ve like a bit of butter or oil, to assist with the cooking but other than that, jt was perfectly fine. It does get very hot, very smoky and you do leave smelling of steak”

“In my view best Indian in Bangor. Had a great chicken naga here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service is great and the prices are reasonable. They catered for the kids who aren’t keen on Indian food. Don’t hesitate but go check it out.”

“The food is absolutely exceptional. We had a takeaway tonight- the meal for 2 was incredible value and with an extra naan bread it fed 4 of us. I'd highly recommend Bay of Bengal. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Pathia, naan bread, poppadoms, onion bajis and chicken tikka. We will definitely be back. The food was super tasty, and the staff were very friendly. It was extremely good value. The meal for 2 was only £24.99 and you got 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 pilau rice and a naan bread. There was also 15% off on Bangor Eats. I think this will be our new Indian takeaway!”
