“First review (updated below this): As the receptionists seem to be getting mixed reviews, I wanted to share my experience. I've just got off the phone with one of the ladies at the clinic and she was amazing. I needed to register with them as a new customer and she was a pleasure to talk to, very helpful, efficient and there was no nonsense as well. I'm in desperate need of an appointment due to toothache and she immediately booked me in for tomorrow. I'm nervous about going to the dentist about this, but her professionalism really put me at ease! The Follow up: The receptionist who greeted me on the day of my appointment was lovely and helpful. The dentist and the assistant were both very good, too. I had to have a tooth extracted and the dentist talked me through everything, she was patient with me and helped me calm down as I was very nervous (I've never had a tooth removed before). Any questions I had were answered well and the procedure was quick and painless (just unpleasant because of the pressure on the bone when being removed, but that wasn't down to the dentist being negligent, she did everything perfectly). No negative experiences whatsoever, I will be happy to continue going here for my regular check ups! (Thank you to the staff for the speed in which everything was done).”

Following my annual checkup last week, I was dismayed to be told that Mr Power is retiring in September and we will no longer be treated by him. “Been in pain with a rotting tooth for nearly 2 years after failed attempts with my own dentist, apparently my own dentist kept saying it was put through as an emergency extraction when it doesn't take 2 years to hear back so I was fobbed off with my own dentist. I phoned 111 on the Wednesday and got an appointment here on the Friday, that same Friday I was in and out and had my wisdom tooth what was rotting for 2 years out within 35mins. Absolutely brilliant service, friendly staff. Couldn't recommend enough. Credit to the NHS. I can't wait to start getting a proper night sleep and enjoying food again with no more pain. “I have been useing B74 now for around 5 years. I can honestly say I haven’t got a bad word to say about Dave or any of his staff. Whenever I call to book an appointment the staff are really helpful and if you are booking an appointment for yourself then Dave will check your children’s teeth for free at the same time, which I think is a great service. “Wow. Absolutely fantastic place. I was terrified of dentists ( not been for 10 years) but due to a recurring abscess I had to pluck up the courage to go to have 2 teeth removed. Staff were so understanding and compassionate. They were fine with me bringing someone with me to hold my hand. The whole process was painless and quick. “I broke a tooth at the weekend, now Thursday, I tried my usual practice bhandals Blackheath where the only appointment I could get was in 2 weeks. I've tried a couple times to see if I could get a cancellation with no luck. I considered Cradley but thought I'd try here as it is only round the corner from me. They couldn't have been more helpful, the receptionist explained the dentist only did minor routines like fillings which is what I hopefully needed, and told me to go straight round. The dentist Shampa I believe her name, was so nice, explained everything as she did it and asked if it was OK before proceeding with anything, checking all the time I was OK. Thank you so much I can relax over the Easter period now knowing my tooth won't break anymore leaving me in pain. Also thnx to the receptionist very nice and chatty, now that makes a change. Shame you're only open 2 days a week.”

“I visited Newtown Dental clinic on 9th September. I observed both receptionists (male and female) to be very helpful and respectful to all the service users, they were patient and advised of what they needed to do to access the service. I had filling ,clean and polish for my treatment. I am very nervous going to the dentist for treatment, the dentist was patient, friendly and informed me what was happening at each procedure. He asked if I was OK throughout. This is the first time I felt no pain. I would recommend this dental clinic to all.”

“Been for a second time to see the lady therapist down stairs (forgot her name how rude of me ) as my dentist left i had a bad experience years before which left me terrified and a couple of missing teeth which led me to an eating dissorder i have got to say she is so so nice ive struggled for ages embarrassed too but really no need she is marvelous and so kind gentle no judgment its down to her that i can finally eat better long way to go yet but am on the road to being myself again and now i go in no tears no body shakes and she always gives a hug when i leave dont be afraid go see her she is marvelous”
