The whole experience was a delight... from choosing the right heart shaped gemstone, to agreeing the design and size. We love the finished result, and it wasn't too expensive.”

“Excellent all round. The restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem, tucked in behind the bar out of view from the street. We booked late after the cricket and the host couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was brilliant, everything we ordered was one of the best examples of each dish I've ever had. Would be good to see a few local cask & keg beers on the bar but still an ok range. Will seek it out again when in Birmingham next.”

“Had a smash meal with Mac and cheese fries. Food was delicious, fresh and cooked perfectly! The staff were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with too. The only shame for me was the small gang of moody dudes chilling on the car park taking up two spaces per car and giving my wife and I weird, prolonged looks while we waited in the car for the food to be done. This is by no means the fault of the restaurant though so no stars lost today. I only stopped by because the smell caught us as we drove past, but I'll definitely consider putting in some future just-eat orders and trying more of their menu in the future!”

My washing machine had been causing me endless frustration, and what felt like a catastrophic issue to me turned out to be something Andy handled with complete ease and professionalism. Watching him work, it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing — no hesitation, no guesswork, just pure expertise. What truly stood out, though, was his attitude. Andy treated the job with genuine care, as though he were fixing an appliance in his own home. He patiently explained what had gone wrong, why it happened, and what he was doing to fix it. Something that had caused me so much stress suddenly felt like a complete non-issue thanks to his skill. And beyond the repair itself, he left everything tidy, respected my home, and even offered tips on how to keep the machine in good shape going forward. Finding a tradesperson who is both highly skilled and genuinely kind is like striking gold, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found Andy. I can say without hesitation that he is the best domestic appliance engineer I’ve ever come across. If you want someone reliable, trustworthy, and exceptionally capable, he is absolutely the person to call. I’m deeply grateful for his help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to absolutely anyone.”

“Recently found this gem. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until I went on my nieces Facebook as I don’t have FB. The malteser cheesecake and shortbread are amazing. I’ve been looking for cafes with homemade cakes and these truly are homemade, which is such a rarity! The staff also make the latte to preference such as decaf/ oat milk etc the indoor area is clean with tasteful decor. The outside seating is really lovely as it’s based in a pretty and peaceful location. There is a free car park that can be used. Owner is lovely and friendly. We felt very welcome. I was a bit worried as I’ve been to other places which are a bit hostile towards Muslims/ Asians but there was no need to be worried here. I haven’t tried the food yet but when I do I will edit my review . I’d love to see more cheesecake flavours as Gil is a great baker . I am a baker too and I have very high standards so that’s saying something . Im definitely not easily pleased when it comes to cakes. Overall really lovely cafe . I went to another cafe before I discovered Gils for homemade cakes and that was such a major disappointment in quality and taste and did not compare to Gils. Prices are really good for the cake considering it’s homemade and generous portions . Only wish I could visit more often but due to health problems I can’t but when I do it’s a lovely experience. “Such an amazing gem of a restaurant. The best and most humblest owner and host, made us feel so welcome - he especially showed incredible care to my 1 year old. On to the food, everything looked and tasted AMAZING! The salad was TOP notch and the meat was SOOOO succulent and mouth watering. The sauces were SPECIALLY amazing, much much better than any we get elsewhere - owner makes it himself! If we were local to the restaurant we’d be there ALL the time.”

“Me and my colleagues went to this restaurant for dinner. In this restaurant we have to cook ourselves. I have ordered myself a steak and it was really good meat. My colleagues have offered prawns, sushi and more. The pictures are shown along with this review. The food has been well decorated and nicely mixed with spices. The raw food is being served so that the customer can prepare the food on their own taste and the level of cooking they prefer. Each table have an oven which allows you to cook your food. They do have a very good seating capacity in the restaurant. The restaurant is well decorated. I highly recommend this place.”

“Had the Bottomless Brunch here as a birthday treat, and we received great service from start to finish. It was my first time here so wasn’t sure what to expect but we really enjoyed it. A few more dishes could be added to the menu but what we had was delicious. We also had 2 cocktails each and a bottle of Prosecco on the table. I’m sure they would have bought us another bottle if we could have finished it but we were taking it slow due to a heavy one the night before! Definitely recommend and would come again!”

“We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday at The Lounge and i have to say the place was amazing. The staff and management were fantastic and catered for all our needs. The food was absolutely amazing and probably the best I’ve had for a wedding or party. All of our guests have sent messages stating they were so impressed with the food. Your amazing Chef and Service Staff definitely need a pay rise for all their hard work. If anyone requires similar set up like the pictures below please don’t hesitate ask the team to get in touch.”
