“Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday meal as we were staying in an AirBnb close by. Service was top tier, the lads were very attentive. We had a cocktail each which were both top quality, although I wish they sold lassi here. Food was beautiful, it felt a lot more authentic than your typical Indian restaurant. If you don't handle spice very well then maybe ask for recommendations as it's on the hotter side, masala chips were very spicy. Different dishes to choose from, the selection was great. Very much enjoyed it although quite pricey, came to nearly £90 for two. Would return if I was in the area”

“Tamworth’s best kept secret Omar Ghalwash’s - Tomahawk steak (approx 1.2kg) to share between 2 people with the most incredible triple cooked chips with the heavenlyist side salad you’ll ever taste all served with chimchurri sauce and a peppercorn sauce at a price that will astonish you in a good way - honestly food heaven I can’t give it 10 out of 10 it has to be way higher than that Fox Inn Dosthill - just trust me xx”

“Great local drinking pub.. lovely atmosphere, drinks at reasonable prices, very popular with locals and always busy every day of the week. Also great outdoor seating area outside to sit and have a drink. They also do 'snack foods' which include scotch eggs, cheese box and various cobs which are really nice and at very good prices. Dogs are welcome in the pub and they even provide doggy treats for free!”

“As a new member of Drayton Bassett Village Club, I’ve been blown away by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. There’s a real sense of family friendly and community spirit here. Whether you’re popping in for a quiet drink, there’s always a friendly face. What really stands out is the dedication of the volunteers who keep the club running they work incredibly hard behind the scenes to make sure everything goes smoothly and it shows. It’s clear they care deeply about supporting the club and the village as a whole. It’s a fantastic place for all ages, If you’re thinking of becoming a member or just visiting, I couldn’t recommend it more.”

“We have just returned from a lovely evening at The Swan. We were a large group of 18 people but this presented no problems for the team and food was brought out all together and each meal was tasty, well presented and piping hot. “Excellent micro pub. Impressive selection of their own brewed beers and guest ales. Huge real ale selection and some craft keg beers. Service was very efficient as was very busy when I visited due to the Kidderminster Halesowen match.”

“I’ve spent many years visiting Stourport, as I worked there for a few years and came to really love the town. The only thing the town always seemed to lack was live music venues that really engaged the local area. Every town needs at least one venue that feels like a hub for live music and entertainment, and this is definitely Stourport’s. I’ve been there for a drink in the afternoon and it’s filled with atmosphere due to its musical vibe, and I’ve been here for gigs and it’s a great live music venue. I really can’t recommend it enough if you like a decent priced pint and some entertainment. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pizza, but that’s not something that would stop me attending the venue regularly.”

“As soon as I walked in I was excited about the food just based off the smell alone, then the food completely exceeded my expectations. the server was so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be our go to when we’re wanting a curry from now on”

“Excellent place for ale drinkers with a great selection of ales available to members. In total there are 18 ales available over a weekend period. There is the restaurant who serves food five days a week. Great selection available at a reasonable price. A large outdoor seating area with plenty of seating available. Upstairs function room with its own bar ideal for parties. There is also four full size snooker tables for members to use. Large car park available for members. Non members are welcomed to try these delights.”

“Tried this restaurant for the first time and we were very impressed! The food was delicious and came quickly, the staff were friendly, and the portion sizes were generous! (There was plenty of meat in our dishes too which was great!) We had the Crispy pork belly noodles and Crispy pork belly bao buns and both dishes were hot and tasty! I would say this restaurant is a little on the pricier side, but we had a great experience and were very satisfied with our food! Would definitely come again!”

“Amazing customer service. My friend was unwell in the ladies toilet and the staff were absolutely wonderful and took no chances. They checked she was safe and that she knew us before letting her come out of the toilet and they were so kind once she was out. Special thanks to Olly for being amazing !”

“Great owner, usually good supply of items but my God - do u get followed around by their worker. Soon as u pick an item to buy it, as he was already watching you - he comes out the back with exact item sticking it before you had time to properly turn around and walk away. Admire his work commitment but creepy AF. Small sized shop, offers lottery, scratch cards, bus passes, pay point, cigarettes, alcohol and vape stuff. Few fresh veggies and fruit, sandwiches and buns. Small ATM inside that charges 99p currently to withdraw (as of Jan 2021). Parking outside but spaces are minimal due to access, temp traffic lights and double yellows. It’s also on a one way road so plan properly if driving. Directly next to a Royal Mail sorting office so they do tend to take those few spaces depending on the time of day. On the other side is a chippy and a grocery store. Prices are ok, nothing steep. Used to be open till 10pm but I think it’s 9pm since lockdown. Please check.”

“Visited at the weekend during a busy period. We've eaten here many times before and its always been lovely, so the visit was disappointing. My daughter and I both ordered well-done sirloin steak, but both were extremely tough, chewy, and hard to cut, making them unenjoyable. The dish was also missing the tomato garnish. While the waitress was polite, the explanation given didn't really address the issue. However, the manager was amazing - very understanding and professional. Service overall was good, and the deserts were absolutely first class. We hope this was just a one-off, as previous visits have been excellent.”
