“I recently visited the Eye Care Centre for a dry eye assessment, and I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the exam. Jerome was incredibly friendly and made me feel at ease throughout the process. He took detailed photos and identified the main issue with my meibomian glands. He explained everything clearly and gave me helpful advice on adjusting my cleaning routine and using the compress more effectively. I felt well cared for, and he even recommended future treatments like removing eyelashes that were growing into my eyes. Overall, I feel positive about the care I received and would highly recommend Jerome and the Eye Care Centre.”
“Both my kids get their glasses from here. All the staff are brilliant with them and the general service is fantastic and fuss free. Worth travelling for. They are night and day compared to other opticians we've been to. Bravo.”
“I could not be more satisfied. The instructors are extremely professional, patient and dedicated. They have an approach that values every effort the children make, which motivates them to keep trying. My son feels at home here. My son has learned not only self-defence techniques, but also important values such as respect, humility, patience and dedication. Every class feels fun and dynamic, and there is always something new to learn. In addition, the facilities are spacious and well equipped. There is a super cosy cafe and Japanese food. I would definitely recommend this school to other parents who are looking for something more than just a physical activity for their children. What I like most is how they tailor the training to each child's abilities, helping to build their self-confidence.”
“Excellent place to learn martial arts. Have grown to enjoy the K1 style because of this place. Tiffany knows her stuff. Definitely one to learn from.”
“Love place with a great vibe and the staff are fabulous. Enjoyed my time here. Noticed lots of cool activities being undertaken elsewhere and the coffee is very very good! Spent two days on a course and everything went smoothly.”
“Excellent venue. Light and airy. A pleasant experience.”
“Lovely community centre with brilliant facilities. Communal areas and toilets are always clean. My child attends a regular dance class at the centre, no problems with parking”
“Both my girls absolutely love it. Coaches are lovely”
“I had some treatment recently, including a couple of fillings, and I always get nervous—especially with injections. I couldn’t believe how comfortable the whole experience was. Dr Samar was absolutely amazing—I didn’t feel a thing, and I genuinely don’t know how, as I was expecting at least some discomfort. I’ve never felt so relaxed in a dentist’s chair before. Of all the dentists I’ve seen in my 58 years, this is the first time I can honestly say it was the best experience I’ve ever had.”
“We’ve been renting the small meeting room for a few months and it’s so easy, the trust has been truly given. Great space and nice staff.”
“We always have a good experience at carrots Cafe.”
“It was the most amazing experience I’ve had in ages. The hall, equipment, members of staff, convenience was all superbly designed.”
“Grew up here and youth leaders were great with us all.”

“Love the art deco design of this building. So glad it's open again. Moonlight swimming was lovely although a bit windy, the pool was 24 degrees. went up to the bar for a lovely hot chocolate, which was reasonably priced. Will go back, staff kind and helpful. Don't for a £1 for the lockers.”
“Beautiful community space with so much going on throughout the year. The cafe is fab with a sun-trap garden. Beautiful yoga studio with so many classes and workshops on offer , many other independent businesses such as tattoo artists, tarot , astrogeology and beauty, energy healing, podiatrist, hypnotherapy, hypnobirthing , many types of massage, reflexology, acupuncture, reiki, breath work etc.”
“Really loved this beautiful theatre. The performance was truly amazing. Congratulations to all the performers of Handel Acis & Galatea, especially Robert Slater. Staff friendly and helpful.”
“I am lost for words with how amazing Kiddi city is. My son is a member so we go often and have really got to know the staff, it’s a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I decided to have my son’s 2nd birthday here and WOW, what a party it was. Anna (the owner) was very very accommodating. I was worried I wouldn’t have enough food platters for the adults so Anna whipped up another tray for me. She was really on the ball and I literally had to do nothing. Even all the adults had a great time, sitting, chatting, eating cake & drinking coffee. We had the whole place to ourselves and shut for the public which made it even more special. My Son had an amazing time and so did all his friends. There are so many toys and role play parts, a doctors surgery, a bakery, a cafe, a hair salon, a pets corner and more! I honestly would do it again tomorrow, it was stress free, fun, good music and good vibes! Highly recommended with 5 huge stars!”
“Perfect place to have a nice cup of chai late and delicious cake after dog walk. Such a welcoming atmosphere and dogs are welcome which is a bonus. I'd highly recommend a visit.”
“Great small venue. Crowded but not "sardines"! Standing only but noticed some seats had been reserved and a few people sitting in them near the front which was lovely to see - great inclusion for those that struggle to stand for a gig. Presume this was arranged in advance.”
“I find the Hillcrest centre a treasure. I come to monthly meetings from the centre of Brighton. It's a joy to be able to park easily, the rooms are large and airy, and quiet, never any problem about booking, and the lunches are inexpensive and superb and the staff are very helpful. The dining room It seems to be a hub for retired people like me. The main hall is a great venue - I went to a book launch attended by hundreds of people, and there is a vibrant market there whenever I go, which is a Thursday once a month - may be more frequent. I guess it's an important resource heavily used by the townspeople of Newhaven. I love it, the atmosphere, the people - and the lunches.”
“Nice place On Saturday there is Ukrainian community Welcome everyone”
“Really useful information and courses, a toy library, plus a great free toddler group on a Monday.”
“I've been going to this location for years on and off with my children. I miss the play and learn sessions but it still have a fabulous sensory room to hire for 45 minutes at a time (just ring or email to book) and a lovely outside play area. They have toilet facilities. They offer other things like weigh in clinic and sen sessions and probably more I don't know too much about. The ladies we've come across as always lovely. It's about a 5 minute walk from the far end of sainsbury's car park/waitrose and a newsagents opposite. Parking is limited in the car park attached but you can park where the zone ends and a short walk.”
“So much happens here! There's a diverse range of community projects, groups, great value classes, courses, workshops and talks...the venue is well-managed and supported by brilliant volunteers. The garden is a delight and the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming.”
“The sensory room and magic carpet are great for babies and toddlers to keep them entertained on a rainy afternoon. Be sure to call up and book.”
“Helpful staff, nice and clean facilities. Shame I don't love local to visit again. Tip take your own small padlock for the lockers, something I didn't know beforehand.”
