“Had a fab time on NYE with hazel as our server, experience was amazing and very comfortable. Hazel was very welcoming and a treat to talk to. Food was great too!”
“Fabulous locally sourced food and wine, great atmosphere and very friendly and attentive service”
“First time ever to an Ivy restaurant and it was fantastic. Greeted warmly at the door and taken straight to our table. Our waiter was lovely, he was charismatic and friendly. The restaurant was fully booked and the atmosphere was great. Now the food- one of the best meals I have ever had. Scallops and soup to start and they were happy to accommodate my fussy eating with the starter. Mains were sea bass and flat iron chicken and we couldn’t fault it. Great value for money considering the high quality food and service provided. Thank you”
“Popped in on a whim as wanting to avoid any fried options and decided upon the lunch special. Shared with husband - 3 sides and a hot main (stuffed aubergine with new potato salad, sweet potatos and mushrooms and spinach). The serving sizes were a real surprise at first then the taste was even better. Hoping to return!”
“Just stopped here for coffee… great price!! £3.30 & nice & bold… so great to have them at the beach … clean toilets and fully loaded … only wish they were open more days and longer hours. Friendly staff like all the English!!!”
“Omg. Favorite place ever. Punk, great vibes, they’re cool with people with laptops, great wifi, filtered batch coffee, give u a discount for refills, vegan options, amazing place”
“Best start of the day! Coffee taste amazing even the decaf Many choices of pastries The staff was very friendly They sale coffee beans and Decaf as well , that they can grind if you wish!!”
“Another banging cafe in Brighton, with some of the best coffee beans if you are on the hunt. Speciality coffee made well, but the flavour and complexity of the coffee itself makes this place a gem. The vibes are always good, especially when the sun is out and people are fighting over a seat on the little benches out front - they are perfect for soaking in the sun and the huddle and bustle of Brighton on the weekend. Seating inside is a little more rustic, opting for a more mis-matched vintage style. It’s comfy and cosy, great for chilling. (Heads up, not really a cafe to work in though, there’s no wifi) The selection of cakes and bakes is not what Bond Street focuses on, but the addition of bite sized cakes to pair with the coffee is fab. Nothing stand out, but the perfect little sweet treat to complement a great cup of coffee. Try dunking! All in all, Bond Street has some of the best coffee in Brighton. Whether they make the best cup is down to preference I guess, but the beans - fab.”
“Had a good experience here. The place is cosy and the family running the place are really nice and accommodating, immediately offering a smile when we went in. We tried their Big English Breakfast, which was really good! Food presentation was lovely and really looked appetising! Also you can have it with toast, in our case we just had it regular meaning no toast but in the end we were still so full and satisfied. It’s just the coffee it was 2 shots but the cup was a bit to big and made it a bit weak, or maybe too much milk was added to our latte. So I suggest requesting to have another extra shot to your coffee! But in general recommend this place 100%. Well done!”
“Always great. Almost always busy with customers. Great selection of rotating beers on tap, most of them local. Food is cheap and actually decent. Bar games in the back”
“Had an amazing experience at Jonny’s in Worthing! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. A real treat from start to finish. Special mention to CJ, whose service was incredible – attentive, friendly, and made the whole visit even better. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back”
“Popped into Y The Yemeni Coffee Co in Peacehaven today and it was a real treat. The coffee is absolutely top-tier—rich, smooth, and clearly high quality. The staff are so nice and welcoming, making for a really pleasant atmosphere. The shop is clean and well-kept, definitely one of the best spots for a coffee in the area. We’ll be back!”
“We visited this restaurant after reading glowing reviews, and it still managed to exceed our expectations! It’s a small, cozy place with an incredible atmosphere and absolutely outstanding food. We started with hummus and toasted bread, followed by roasted chicken for my husband and crab linguine for me. To top it off, we shared a bottle of wine—and everything was simply fantastic! The experience was so wonderful that we couldn’t resist taking a slice of cake to go. The total? Just £60—an amazing value for such a memorable meal. It was a special occasion for us, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. Highly recommended!”
“I walked in a (sort of) sleet storm from Worthing with the incentive of a coffee at the perch lancing and it didn’t disappoint! Lovely welcome, delicious coffee (& the best cheeky bacon bap - I’d walked 2.5 miles so I decided I deserved it!) great views. Just a shame a couple arrived and had a phone conversation on speaker next to me, but that’s not the perch’s fault! My first visit. The best incentive to do a 5 miler a couple times a week!”
“Nice big cup of iced cold americano. Beautifully decorated and furnished, much more modern than before.”
“Hard to beat. Makes my top 5. Great coffee tick. Enticing menu at reasonable prices tick. Atmosphere and service first rate tick.”
“Amazing food. I had the veggie breakfast and my husband the plant breakfast. We have travelled a lot and seriously, this cafe has set the standard. Absolutely the best breakfast and coffee we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Well done!”
“Really good attitude, helpful, v quick service. Came here after Cranleigh Parkrun with a group, and the atmosphere was relaxed, helpful and understanding. The kind of attention you get from a special team who understand people. Lovely. (English breakfast very good!)”
“i came to Brighton to spend a couple of days there and went to this place as it was on our way from the train station and what a nice place! staff is nice and the food is amazing, reasonably priced. we even came back for a second time through our stay!! deffo will be back here if I ever come to Brighton again:)”
“As someone who lives in the area but spends a lot of time away, this place is one of the reasons I love coming home. Still the best BLTs I have ever tasted and a warm welcome every time. As a dog lover, I love meeting their canine customers and the relaxed atmosphere always makes me smile.”
“I only review a 5 star experience. Ok so I was visiting Brighton for business and changed upon this place. The aroma hit me as I was walking by and I simply had to go in. I chose a Vegan meal deal and was served by the simply beautiful Ayesha. You know when you are dealing with an person who is genuinely helpful and so friendly and positive. It really does make a difference. When I have a 5 star experience I offer the servers a free portrait. They mostly decline but Ayesha was flattered and loved the final results. Positive ambience, super tasty coffee, great meal deal value, wonderful staff.”
“New favourite coffee place in the lanes unlocked :) food is delicious and customer service was also top tier. Wish everyone in the world was, at least, half as nice and lovely as the owner! Definitely recommend and will be back on my next trip :)”
“We had a delicious brunch time snack at the cafe du jardin. The entrance way is unassuming but don't let that fool you, this rustic restaurant serves delicious bites and thirst quenching drinks in a relaxed and informal French cafe style both outdoor and indoor tables and believe me this place gets busy. Our server, Albie was an absolute gem, he worked hard to ensure no one was waiting, very attentive and capable. As you can see from my photos the food is excellent. However I wished I had ordered one of the tasting plates as they look fantastic.”
“As I entered drift this morning with a friend the place was buzzing and very busy. It's so obvious why... the service was amazing and the food was to die for. We both had poached eggs on sour dough/multi grain toast with crispy bacon and vine tomatoes. The best breakfast I've had for a very long time. Very well presented and served. I will definitely revisit. Thankyou”
“A real blast from the past! Friendly, little family run cafe. Prices I haven't seen for the past 5 years and yet the food is still great. We're definitely going to make this a regular spot of ours!”
“Hidden gem, absolutely delicious and £10 for a huge breakfast and a free drink, definitely recommend, they also accommodated for our dog xxx”
“Regular food events like pancakes and vegan roasts. Also a bar for members. The bookshop is well stocked. Worth a visit.”
“So much happens here! There's a diverse range of community projects, groups, great value classes, courses, workshops and talks...the venue is well-managed and supported by brilliant volunteers. The garden is a delight and the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming.”
“Reasonable food and good options. Kids food isnt all chips and nuggets. Great to be on the beach but shaded in the sandpit for toddlers”
“Renee was so lovely and knowledgable. I'm a barista too so we talked about coffee. Made a gorgeous cortado for me too. Thank you! Would recommend”
