“It’s a family restaurant so it’s meant they work hard for the name and the food . I ordered chicken tikka biryani it’s was fabulous and delicious i ordered it again the next day . The restaurant was super clean and the staff was always smiling and helpful with your order . The portion is more than enough and ingredients was high grade and amazing. The wifi was very fast . I really recommend this restaurant.”
“Country pub vibes with nice atmosphere. Lots of seating inside and out. Food was good but could do with more vegan options. Facilities were good but no hand towels in the bathroom. Staff were good and attentive to the table, I would advise booking, we went on a Wednesday and it was fairly busy at lunch time”
“Fab Sunday roast and pud (only got pic of pud as was so hungry!) Great choice. Friendly staff and doggy friendly. Only issue the room could have been a bit warmer.”
“My friend and I went for Sunday lunch both had roast lamb, and it was delicious. Staff were very attentive. Very busy obviously very popular.”
“A brilliant independent local countryside pub that still has character, unlike a lot of the bigger brewery chain pubs. Comfortable seating and plenty of space alongside a clean and well maintained interior with the option to sit outside if the weather's good. We came as a table of 5 for dinner, and the service was quick and attentive. The portion sizes generous and value for money were good overall. The burgers and sticky toffee pudding were both brilliant, and there were good words spoken about the Liver and Bacon as well as the Irish coffees, too! Specials boards change regularly, and with drinks, mains, and desserts, we still spent just under £30 per person, including service charge. It's definitely worth checking out and supporting your local”
“Great pub food. Probably the best pub pie I have ever had. Combine that with excellent beer, a lovely atmosphere and a roaring fire, couldn't be better. We will be back!!!”
“the best coffee in the whole world! food is delicious, you can tell its cooked to order, amazing service from Josh. the ambience gives you warm feeling like you are in your own home. super clean and well presentable restaurant.”
“Firstly the service was amazing, Adele was so friendly and welcoming. Secondly, the food was unbelievable! We had the Smoke Platter and shared it between two, luckily we did, it was MASSIVE, we had to wrap what we couldn’t eat to go. Thirdly, Adele’s espresso martinis are a MUST!!”
“Stunning cuisine. I'm not a salad lover but Izmir Bar and Grill have absolutely nailed it! It was a friend's birthday and already from the starter, we knew we had winning meals. The dessert was exquisite. Most impressive was the portion sizes. Not too much or too little - but just right! East Street restaurants be careful. Izmir Bar and Grill is leagues ahead ❤ Special mention to our lovely waitress Jasmine. Thank you and Management for a delightful lunch out.”
“Visited today for a drink on our first ever trip to this town. The landlord and landlady were so welcoming providing us with a map and showing us various places thank you”
“Fantastic experience at Spice Tandoori. What an underrated spot. The type of place you drive past 100 times and think to visit but don’t, then when you do you think ‘why have I never come here?!’. Traditional curry house, white table clothes, smartly dressed waiters and most importantly wonderful cuisine. I will be back!”
“Amazing new restaurant in Hove. We had the beef tartare and carpaccio to start (best I’ve ever eaten). The seafood starters we had were both out of this world too and the desserts were excellent. I’d deffo come again- highly recommended.”
“Tasty fresh and very good value. We had a problem with the order but promptly they put it right in a very polite manner. Highly reccomended and definitely will be back for more”
“Amazing food, service on point but lacking footfall so we sat alone to eat 90% of the time”
“I booked the private dining room for a surprise birthday and it was amazing service, lovely food & great atmosphere! Highly recommend.”
“Quirky joint. Small and cosy. Friendly staff. Lots of different rooms/areas. Can bring in outside food to have with your drink. The deal is that you clean up after yourself. A total no brainer with Bad Boys Burgers nextdoor”
“I've been going to Divine Nails since the day they first opened and every set since that day has been beautiful. James and his team offer a friendly, professional service and nails that last the test of time through all seasons”
“An exceptionally good Adana kebab. Easily as good as I’ve had in Istanbul, tender and perfectly spiced. Lovely fresh bread and salad, perfect rice, friendly service. Full marks!”
“Really good wings, asked for something spicy and they actually were, pleasantly surprised. Fries were proper fries as well, not some frozen rubbish like at a lot of chicken shops. Bit steep for chicken & chips but you get what you pay for- 9/10 scran that.”
“I've been here a couple of times now and bought beautiful, clothing both times. At my last visit the wonderful staff had put aside a couple of dresses for me to try that I'd messaged about earlier in the week. They also had my perfect velvet jumpsuit in store, that wasn't available online - they specifically went out of their way to find it for me. Everyone is always amazing at helping me find my perfect style and fit for my body shape and make the experience both unique and personal. It's my favourite place to find something special. Thank you Michelle (I think that was who served me - apologies if I've got that wrong, whoever it was, they were brilliant). I will be back for more!”
“Nice traditional pub. Where you can relax and enjoy a drink. Barley Mow has been there at least 50 years and feels warm and welcoming. A modern innovation, you are encouraged to order food in from local restaurants or try out the pubs own menu, so plenty of joice. There's loads of games to play, a patio with covered areas in case it rains. In the winter an open fire nice and cozy great for a romantic date.”
“Another great traditional Brighton pub that is tucked away just far enough off the main roadways to make it feel like a locals pub. Friendly staff, friendly locals. Great meeting point as it's just a few minutes from the station. Toilets a bit gross though haha.”
“Stunning. The pond water ale was spot on, couldn't leave it alone. The Indian food was just fantastic, as good as the best Indian restaurants we've been to. Brilliantly decorated. Impressive service by the friendly young lady managing multiple tables with practised ease.”
“i have been coming to the French Horn for nearly 10 years now and feel it is the most welcoming place I know. I love the food, and am now learning French on Wednesdays. It is great for the games nights too.”
“One of the best pork bellies I've ever had. Absolutely melt in the mouth and very decent portion size. friendly staff and service was swift.”
“Lovely place & atmosphere! Loads of love for their solidarity and good vibes”
“Absolutely gorgeous food in a chilled relaxed pub. Inviting to children and pets. The food came out fresh and steaming hot. The portions are large and will definitely fill you up.”
“I tried the Asian Fusion and Veggie Supreme pizzas, both served on a thin, crispy crust and freshly baked in the fire oven. The shakes are thick, creamy, and full of flavour, made fresh to order with quality ingredients. Whether you choose a classic or something indulgent like Nutella or Biscoff, they are the perfect sweet finish to your meal, and the prices are very reasonable too.”
“Lovely meal at the weekend. Impromptu visit, called ahead about 30 minutes before and they managed to find us a table for 2. Great food, starters, mains and dessert. Filet steak was very tasty. Nice cheerful staff. Nice little place to go.”
“We go along to the free Bevy family fun after school session on Thursday most weeks, and are made to feel really welcome by the volunteers and the pub. Each week there are different activities for the kids and we have a meal together at the end. We do things like parachute games, craft, giant outdoor games, tabletennis club outings, children's entertainers, water play etc. There is a good size space outdoors for them to let off some steam. It's nice to see kids of different ages from different local schools playing together and my kids really enjoy coming along!”
