“Lovely little takeaway just down the road from me. The Peking and satay dishes are my go-to’s. Really good Chinese.”
“Best chinese takeaway! We love the food here and always have enough for another meal, the portions are very generous. Staff is always kind as well. Thank you so much!”
“Food was very good and proper portions. I would say it is good value for money... very good ambience... nice amd courteous staff... had a nice dining experience”
“Lovely staff. Paid £43 for a starter, 2 soft drinks and 2 x very generous hot pots with a side of thick Noodles. Very reasonable for the quality of the meal. Abolute gem of a place.”
“Great food..we all enjoyed and appreciated that. Unfortunately they had an influx of 15 orders just prior to 7pm and couldn't cope with supplying on time the 7oclock deliveries. The two young ladies in front of shop were left somewhat exposed given some customer anger at delay...but we all got there on the end. They gave a couple of us a bottle of wine for the 30min delay ..and we really enjoyed the four different dishes of food..JG”
“Walked a different route home and was starving. Don't let the simple exterior fool you. I tried the chicken cafrael as it sounded delicious and it really was incredible as were the chips. Insane value for money. 3 big bits of chicken and chips for £7. Must be the cheapest / tastiest food in Bristol. Highly recommend. I'll be back to sample the rest of the menu”
“I’ve been using this place for years and never have been disappointed, it’s literally twice as good as most places and half the price. Highly recommended.”
“It was really clean and a good selection of food. It was my first time and Rebecca was really helpful in explaining how it all works. She was a breath of fresh air and gave me some good tips. I’ll definitely come back.”
“What a great experience! My husband and I decided to eat lunch here and it was so delicious, the food, atmosphere and shop layout gave us an authentic dining experience. The food was made to perfection, nice a healthy and hearty. We enjoyed it so much that we were so close to having it again that day for dinner!”
“Amazing service, guy who took our order was lovely!!! Would recommend to everyone. Great prices, great portions and DELICIOUS food ”
“stunning service and food. tasted incredible and the portion sizes were extremely generous. excellent local Chinese”
“Amazing vegan chinese food, way better than most non-vegan chinese takeaways I've had! Full of flavor and fresher than most chinese takeaways but still getting that takeaway feel in a big way. Loved it”
“Staying away from home, tried many takeaways in bristol, this is the new number one, had Singapore noodles, beef in black bean, king prawn curry, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, quality, delicious food and great service, will return everytime im in town now, superb.5☆☆☆☆☆”
“We had the set menu B. Lovely selection of food well presented and large quantities. Very nice. Someone with local knowledge advised me owner has been running it for years.”
“Very nice family run business. Tasty and authentic food, good prices. Worth a visit. Definitely will come back to taste some more food.”
“Love Street Wok. Great for takeout and we’ve booked for a birthday, where we were virtually giving the whole room to ourselves. Always great service and very tasty food. Good value and simple l, but adequate menu. Well run and friendly service. You can park on the roads around or cheekily in the garage across the road and they are always quick with takeout service. Recommend. A definite hangover go to.”
“We just picked up dinner from here and the food was really nice and the service too. Very big portions!”
“I’m not usually the biggest fan of Chinese food, but my partner loves it, so we gave Hao Wei a try, and I’m so glad we did. The food is absolutely amazing, full of flavour, fresh, and seriously satisfying. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s now become a firm favourite for us and part of our go-to hangover cure routine. Highly recommend giving it a try, even if Chinese isn’t normally your first choice, you might be surprised like I was!”
“Food was great and so was the service. It was quick and the server was approachable. No complains there. The place is small but serves amazing food and is reasonably priced.”
“Excellent chinese food and by far the best I've had in the Chippenham/Melksham/Corsham area!! We ordered a takeaway to eat with the in-laws after our little ones went to bed and it did not disappoint. I was very impressed by the flavours of the hk style sweet & sour (having grown up in hk, this tasted just like the sweet&sour I'd get back home) and the pork fried rice. The crispy shredded beef was STILL crispy by the time we got home and ate it 20 mins later, the salt & pepper squid was also crispy and very tasty. We had half crispy duck with pancakes which was delicious, 2 different veggie dishes, lo mein noodles, spring rolls etc.. all in all about 10 dishes and came to just under £100 for 4 adults (averaging about £25 each). Which is very good considering the amount we ate! Everyone was full and there was even plenty leftover for lunch the next day. However I do feel like they could've thrown in some prawn crackers or something else for free given the size of the order. But then again maybe they don't do that because it's not your typical Chinese, it's better. Regardless, this is my new fave Chinese restaurant and will definitely be ordering from here again!”
“Came here on a whim on a week night craving a Chinese. Chinese takeaway places usually only accept cash but they had a card reader which I was really thankful for as I ordered more. Staff were very friendly and they were very quick with our order even though it seemed like there were loads of people collecting. They had a great range of meals and it was very affordable! We will be coming here for our Chinese takeaways now :)”
“Tried this restaurant recently off the back of recommendations and gladly can say I was not disappointed and I’m sure you wouldn’t be either! A very authentic and homely feel to the restaurant, warm and quiet spot with quirky basement vibe. We ordered both set menu B and C because why not! 4 us ate here and we had more than enough good food. I’ll talk over some of my highlights from the set menus, my favourite overall was certainly the sweet and sour chicken, crispy yet tender with real sweet and sour flavour running through out the dish pack a real punch and depth of flavour which just kept making you want to eat more and more. Other hits on menus were - king prawns in ginger and spring onions, beef in black bean sauce, aromatic crispy lamb pancakes and mention to the mixed starts, ribs were succulent and juicy, and satay chicken was perfect. Overall some really nice dishes, not full of oil or greasy like a take away, really flavourful and thought out dishes, not a massive menu here and the dishes they do they really know about. Nothing bad to say about this spot and I would rate this visit a solid 8/10! Will return that’s for sure!”
“Could well be the best Asian food I've had in Bristol! Had the crispy chili beef and Panag curry noddle's - both were delicious. Despite the restaurant offering a range of different nationalities dishes - they were all spot on!”
“Don’t normally have a Chinese on a Monday. However my usual Chinese closed. Received an excellent service from the telephone operator to the food. The meal was delicious, large potatoes chips, not black eyed chipped stumpy ones. The duck was fresh and delicious. This will be my new take away service. Thank you!!”
“Quick to prepare (within 10 minutes of ordering) and fast when collecting at the takeaway. The food was great and even got a couple free bits! Would come back again.”
“Probably the best authentic Chinese left in Bristol, portions were BIG, food was hot, very tasty and the customer service was second to none! Would definitely recommend.”
“Note: this hidden gem is on the upper floor! Food tastes like home, made with love. Service is dedicated. Atmosphere is secluded, musty, authentic, homemade. Price is twenty pounds per person for all the meals. There's a bring your own alcohol policy in place, a small charge applies - well worth it. All the people are on one long table, dishes get served A hidden gem, alternative! And it should remain hidden, a hipsters vibe - it's that good. Most importantly, effort and love have been poured into this tiny crevice, culture pouring into the guests. Additional plus - you can buy home made kimchi. Show me a better place I'll wait.”
“Good food, good prices and pleasant staff.”
“The takeaway set meals for 2 and for 3 really can’t be beaten. Much more food than you can eat and so tasty. Good to have a takeaway like Happy Valley just around the corner. Friendly service and they never get an order wrong. I particularly like their beef in black bean sauce.”
“Cook to order, friendly family service. Economical and tasty. I ordered the Singapore fried rice noodle and house special chow mien.”
